  1. Get a relegation release clause and have 38 games to show everyone your worth is surely more appealing than staying in the championship? There's plenty of up and coming players we could go for in there. I'd much rather us go down that route than Ayew on a 3 year deal.
  2. Every day we get reminders how far we have fallen. Last summer seeing some of Bournemouth's signings even made me sick. We could so easily have established ourselves if we were ran anything like competently.
  3. We still have the nucleus of a good team but the more Ayews and even Dercordova-Reids (as much as I think that's a decent signing) we get, the more we pull into the direction of what a team like Forest are. Soule would have been a step in the right direction and I think other signings down the line then follow suit. Go back into the Maguire, Maddison type signings of before. If it's just quick fixes and 31 year olds looking for big contracts they'll run down then we will quite quickly lose any identity.
  4. Feels like the disciples of Pep all love to copy his traits and freezing players out with seemingly no logistical reasons is one of them.
  5. Completely get why some of you feel the way you do. I feel like I can separate my support for the lads from the bellends who run the club but I completely get why some of you can't or won't. I'm still angry about how we got in all this mess and I am even more angry at the attitude of the likes of Top, Susan and the rest. You can absolutely guarantee any criticism would have been met with an attitude of we won you the league and FA Cup how dare you criticise us. That arrogance led them all the way to a relegation they never dreamt would possibly happen to them. After getting away with it again. And they have. We almost ****ed everything up with the most expensive ever championship squad. They could have gone 2 ways. Thank their lucky stars and do everything they can to make up for their errors or count it as nothing more than a blip in the road and look at each other like they're geniuses for a promotion. The open top bus full of Thai influencers gives you the answer to that one. Its still rotten to the core and I fear it will be now until Top leaves. Which will be pretty soon.
  6. I keep on hearing they are expecting it to be way worse than any other punishment but for them to have said that it can't be worse than Administration then it doesn't make sense. If it's anything above -10 then quite clearly we need to start building for the Championship again. I just don't see how we'd even have been able to attract Cooper if we said we're expecting anything like that though. He'd have been better off going Burnley.
  7. It wouldn't have mattered what they did if we were doing our job.
  8. Risk and reward was a term used a lot early on because of the playing from back and wanting to draw players out of their position for the opposition.
  9. Yes for them last 10 games we absolutely should have had more ideas. I think he alienated too much of the squad too so limited himself massively with who he was picking. It was still an unbelievable **** up to nearly not go up. The fact Leeds were typically Leeds shouldn't me we lose sight of how awful we were and how little Maresca had in response to it all. Our best performance came when we ditched his style
  10. I wasn't. The previous post asked me to give an example of tactics changing for a poor team and making them successful.
  11. If he wins 10 out the first 11 I'll take you for a McDonald's and you can order whatever you like. How about that?
  12. The Pearson great escape was an example of changing formation and style to turn around results for one example.
  13. No issue with wanting the ball more. I am not a fan of inverted full backs. Supposed to give us more solid in the transition but our wingers were so easy to defend against once teams realised they weren't getting any support. I also felt like we were actually caught out a lot down the right hand side back end of last season so didn't really see it giving us any more at the back. The whole risk and reward motto made little sense when the centre backs would send us all to sleep passing it around. It seemed to be taking the risk away rather than being this risky brand of football it was labelled.
  14. Okay I can agree with this. What worried me was that Enzo would have played like this and after getting beat 4-2 against Chelsea he was just happy with played his way. We'd have just heard that countless amount of times as we went straight back down.
  15. Manchester City with a £80m player in each position do. Likewise Arsenal have now spent about £600m. It would make more sense if you had an example of a poor team that started playing like this and it achieved results. That's what good managers with good tactics do isn't it?
  16. He won't have Rotherham and Cardiff sticking 10 men behind the ball now.
  17. I didn't walk away from any games thinking wow what amazing tactics they were to win. We were flat track bullies. Every game at home bar a couple were just the opposition not even trying to win and showing us way too much respect. Sorry, I just don't buy it. We won the league because we had by far the most in depth squad. Those games weren't anomalies. We were incredibly lucky that teams couldn't finish in the first 10-15 games. Then the last 15 were absolutely painful.
  18. Not wanting to see Faes pass to Vestegaard 300 times and not having any answers to beat teams like Plymouth and Millwall does not qualify you as a get it forward merchant.
  19. People might say it's petty and sad but I'm going to say told you so to every single person on here every week he loses until he's sacked because I am absolutely sick of the "we won the league so his style clearly works" bullshit.
  20. We move to the 'Kasper Schmeichel Arena' after about 5 years on Football Manager. Maybe that's the plan.
  21. I think it should kind of be a rule that if you go and play for Forest you are revoked of being in the Leicester brotherhood
  22. I didn't hear no bell
  23. The amount Cooper keeps going on about new players makes one think that maybe he wasn't as oblivious to the 30 odd signings Forest made
  24. Good work of last season 😂 Let's see how Enzo gets on now he isn't playing Stoke and Rotherham prepared to have about 2 shots a game.
  25. If anyone thinks us reacting to Ward getting minutes is an overreaction then you do not in anyway have the PTSD we do. I reached for some beans on the shelf in Tesco and when they fell behind my head all I could see was him being lobbed by Kai Havertz.
