I didn't mean as an away day experience. Glad you had fun. That whole season was ruined by the acknowledgement we had become everything we used to laugh at other clubs for being. Full of players who didn't give a shit and playing an awful style with no purpose in our play any more. Was a slow painful death and we were in a third rate European competition our own manager openly admitted to not even knowing what it was.

Feel like you're going off what PSV and ,to a lesser extent, what Roma used to be. If you enjoyed it fair enough. I just felt like I could see everything unfolding in front of my eyes, and I'm not paid a six figure salary to oversee this shit.

Wasn't quite Champions League. We'd have finished about 9th or something if we kept leads we had in 75th minute. Yeah it still haunts me that much.

Stolarczyk : Reminiscing of Shilton Days
Gamble92 replied to fuchsntf's topic in Leicester City Forum
Wonder if in 40 years Stolarcyk will turn into a massive bellend wearing a bow tie at dinners, and reminiscing about Bournemouth away for £200 a head in some shit hole pub in Blaby.- 71 replies

That whole minute when Wes Morgan bundles into the net and the goal being disallowed took that much out of me emotionally that I actually struggle to watch it all back sometimes.

If I'm brutally honest, the Europa Conference wasn't anything like as good as the other European campaigns. We were playing some absolutely awful teams and only in it because of abject failure. I was still seething at the Forest cup match and how little players like Tielemans cared that day. I could see my club slowly dying before my eyes that season, and a manager fully complicit in it all that was only bothered about papering over the cracks. The PSV away game was nice but overall I felt so down about what was happening with the club that the whole thing felt false. Then the performance in Rome basically just summed up everything that was to come for the next 12 months until we eventually had the worst relegation in history. Yeah not good times for me.

I think all matches are televised from 5th round onwards now. Testing the waters for having all Premier League games televised eventually I think.

But demoralising seeing a win for us against Bournemouth called an upset 😂 -
It's certainly got a bit Messi for Stephen Hawking recently

He potentially offers more but Daka has been so far ahead of Nacho this season and to disregard what he's done because of the Leeds miss is just wrong. -

He said he wanted to stay before Maresca came in. Then there was the discussion about inverted full backs and they didn't see eye to eye. Not sure whether it was VK saying he doesn't want to play that or Maresca telling him he can't. It's a shame because I think he is going to be class.

I interviewed Alan Young for my Uni course and he said quite a lot about this game. Anyone know what he's up to now? Seemed to just vanish after being quite active on social media.

I was directly responding to the above that said we don't have a plan B, haven't heard what was discussed on the podcast. In terms of seeing a game out - I think it was just wrong to expect we could defend for 45 minutes with 10 men against Coventry. You can't defend that deep in any game, I don't care if it's with ten men. The Leeds game is different to that. I think if you miss that many chances then any team in world football runs the risk of conceding a few chances the other end and sod's law that we end up conceding from it. I honestly don't feel like we have the issues some think we do on here. I think we will win the vast majority of the next 12 and ease to promotion. -
Agree with this. I've had helicopter related jokes sent a few times from Forest fans in last few years and yes it's sick, and they should know better but I don't get offended by it. It says a lot about the person doing it but a lot of this seems like people wanting to find something to be offended by now.

Might not be a popular opinion on here but I don't think we need another plan. The last two games for instance, if we score chances we should then we don't lose either. That tells me everything in the system is working. Just because the build up is slower and we eventually carve out a chance does not mean that that's worse than four or five rushed build ups. In fact it works on the premise that the chance we create is better. Compare the chances we made in last 20 minutes against Boro to the amount of chances our 'Plan B' of sticking Wes Morgan up front and lumping it to him ever worked under Pearson. -

Unless you're Man City that does tend to be the case -

Reminds me of that season Micky Adams old timers couldn't keep a lead in the last 15 minutes and we kept hearing stats about if every game lasted 75 minutes we'd be in Europe. -
Well they do because if we had that we'd have lost more than 6 and it'd predict we'll lose more as a result. It doesn't take into account dodgy deflections and shit officiating though.
