Least we can all say we've been on our own on a Tuesday night to a half empty SK1 right?
-
The commentary was genuinely unbearable other night. I have kind of ignored most the Wrexham hype as much as I can but you can hear how much they want them to get in the Premier League as soon as possible. Talking of bias, Darren Fletcher on Forest match last night. Wow. Reminded me of those 106 days where he'd do everything he could to pretend he was neutral and spend the whole show bashing Leicester and Derby.
-
I'll take the criticism of our downfall but I'm not buying the praise for Wrexham doing what they have.

The look on her face when she has the first Spring Roll at the Staff Christmas Party Buffet? Priceless

Is this true?

Yes it is but in any normal set up she would have the power to say the Director Of Football has cost us that money by being shit and remove him. If she really did have no say in whether he stays or goes she should have walked years ago so I don't have any sympathy. We have an absolute mess of a set up where Rudkin can make decisions sometimes but not when Daddy Top stomps his feet. There were reports last season he was "waiting for a decision from Top" about Ruud because he didn't know what was happening, and was shocked to see Top sack Cooper. Then we have Whelan unable to tell our owner that Rudkin is costing us all this money.

Why they listing off team achievements on the pitch in Susan Whelan's goodbye article? Genuinely I'd like someone to tell me why that is. Disastrous decision after disastrous decision when she arrived until Alan Birchenall suggests Nigel Pearson, who with his team turns us around. Then even Ranieri was about 11th choice on the list to succeed. Again, absolutely no one above made any great decision making to ensure he arrived. It's widely accepted that the achievement of the Premier League was the miracle it was because of the extremely squad value. Nothing was masterminded by anyone on board level, including our owners, at that time. We then proceeded to spunk absolutely all of that away, bar the initial success under Rodgers because of a bit of a ripple effect from the Pearson/Ranieri era. Again I struggle to think of anything I can pin on Whelan and co. for any of it. Leicester City should be a case study for all businesses on how not to credit all of your staff for success, and look at who actually achieve it because it will end like this for any business who do the same.

How many CEOs do you know that have managed to keep their jobs with the kind of losses we have have made year after year?
-
It's very obvious the most important thing to Top is to have people around him he knows. It doesn't particularly matter if they're good enough at what they do. If he likes you and you are loyal to him, you have a job for life.
-
Behave. He was never qualified to ever go above Youth team Manager. Fact he's got to where he is is a disgrace enough, without letting him be a ****ing Chief Executive.

KP happy clappers will be a sympathiser for what she's overseen in our catastrophic demise just because she was lucky enough to have great people under her for a while when we had our success. Anyone with any morals and self respect would have walked years ago. Cya By the way I wouldn't be jumping for joy yet. Timing of this suggests to me she knows something big is coming up.

What's worse is we did the exact same thing minutes later with Kristensen. It's so bad when a team of their calibre realise that pumping it without any real skill down our left will cause panic. This is players that have played at a much higher level than their opponents too. That's the worry to take away from last night. At the minute we are still getting the tactical respect of Leicester under Enzo. When teams have a go we struggle a hell of a lot. That Enzo team also found that out. Despite the limp over the line at the end. That said, the first 55 minutes or so I thought we were comfortable bar Hamza's mistake. We cannot think we can sit on a 1-0 lead like that in any game though. The hope for me is Marti saying it's arrogance implies it wasn't tactical and more the players thinking the game was done. We aren't ****ing good enough to cruise through games anymore.

Lot of those players who got us relegated also got us promoted. Getting out of this division isn't the same as staying in the Premier League. If I didn't know who Stowell was id think I've just turned in to some old drunk from Braunstone ringing up from the pub. He was saying how we should want Forest to qualify for champions League last time he was on.

How is anyone saying we should drop Faes?

Heard a few stories like this from that day. I remember the phone-in on Radio Leicester the following Monday everyone being up in arms about it but I don't remember anything being followed up. It's one of them where it needs something bad to happen for anyone to take any action unfortunately. Something wasn't right. Unforgivable in this day and age.

I know this is a longshot but I've got this 2 for 1 voucher for slug and lettuce in town, do you fancy it? I won't tell Wout.

We need Sunderland and Leeds to dispell this myth that no one can ever compete when going up again. Pundit were pretending to be bothered by it but it was a perfect scenario playing out for team Super League. Glad it looks like new teams will go down this time. Hopefully the red scum.

Bit off the topic of West Brom but when anyone talks about unsafe I always think back to that Peterborough away game around 2011 when we lost 2-1. No exaggeration to say we could have had people die that day. No idea how more wasn't made of that.

Nailed it. I don't know where anyone gets this idea that you can stay at this level and slowly build a team. If we spend 2-3 years at this level we won't have a team with Nelson, Monga, Page and Aluko. It will have been picked off by Premier League teams for anyone with any value or potential and we'll have our sub standard youth players and Championship journeymen as we languish in the bottom half.

Or more it sums up the kind that KP are selling/giving tickets to

I was a bit shocked at the reaction to potentially getting Lampard for us. He's been tarnished a bit in the heads of football fans by how bad it's gone for Rooney and Gerrard recently. Ended up put in a load of memes with those two when he's comfortably better.

In before someone says is Don't Care a new signing

Agree with you here but I wouldn't be so sure about saying "a club like us". We are one of the ones they have caused some shit with in the past and I remember us being one of the clubs they banned from the Den that season. We returned the favour. Was so strange when Claridge scored for them and you could hear the players celebrating. Think we tonked them 4-1 in the end though.
