When you look at what Pearson and Steve Walsh did it was unbelievable really. It would have been easiest thing in the world for a new manager to come in and carry on the destructive spending of Sven. He got rid of egos, bought the right characters and sorted so much mess. He goes and bar the short period under Puel where the scouting was superb, Top put too much of the success down to Rudkin. Believed in him and this is our outcome. This is exactly why I will argue with anyone who says the owners have been good from a decision making point of view. They just haven't. We couldn't have done it without them but that doesn't mean it's been some masterclass in ownership.

It would have been even worse than that. If we failed to go up we'd have had all sorts of FFP problems. We threw more money at it than Derby did and look how they turned out.

Both Mandaric and King Power relied on Pearson and his team to save both tenures from utter disaster

Leicester 3-2 Villa … 10 years on

It's no exaggeration to say if we don't win this, we don't win the league. We were dreadful for most the match but the way we could comeback into games early in that season just gave us an unreal belief. Kante really was that important when he come in. I don't like to compare who was most important because even the likes of Simpson were so good, but Kante was just another level to anyone. -
This playing one way and sticking to it despite results bullshit is an absolute cancer to the game. Not to mention it's actually boring as **** to watch said style even when it's implemented properly. There will eventually be a complete pushback to this philosophy but unbelievably we still have plenty of owners, including ours who actively want it. Thankfully Marti seems far more pragmatic when needed and can change things up a bit.

Can't believe how bad Inler was -
Amazing how many players we have linked with the likes of AC Milan and Champions League/Europa League teams. Do these clubs think these players have just been unlucky to be associated with us? Some of them linked are exactly why we are in this position.

****ing hell bottled that quicker than the Referee today

It's bizarre he isn't starting now. I was fully behind it when there was a chance he could move. A move he looked like he wanted. But the bar is that low with what we expect from the modern footballer that anyone with quality needs to play, despite his antics. To not play him from the start now the window is shut is another Ruud-esque decision.

I honestly think a massive part of some players not wanting to play at this level, apart from the obvious, is how much it exposes they were never the level they pretended. It's a lot easier to be a player like Soumare in a top team in France with the style of player he is. Get the blocks and tackles in in a team with quality around him. But it's exposed to what he is when he's that level lower. Now he's played a few games at this level to this standard his stock will never be as high as it was. If he got a move to a top division somewhere like Turkey in summer, his CV says Ligue 1, Premier League and La Liga. Someone will always take a punt on that. Now he's another we are lumbered with until his contract expires.

Skipp genuinely wouldn't look out of place in Masters Football

Mavididi and Fatawu need bringing back down to earth and stop thinking they're above this level

Oxford players reacting like that is embarrassing

Are you okay? -
Not just us, no club will.

We get absolutely rinsed in every aspect in the UK. Just think you could wake up in Spain on Saturday and nip out get a few drinks and probably spend a tenner. Get back home and have every single game available to watch for about the quarter of the price we pay to not even have access to every match.

I live in Islington and amount of trefoil Adidas stuff you see that looks well made. Compared to the shite we have had from Adidas. We spent years going through Jako, JJB and Joma and finally got Adidas. Then they've been just as bad.
-
Yeah it just doesn't help anyone that the actual Ad looks like it's off the side of an off license in Croydon

Agree for everyone else, but it's Forest.
-
Well it was because of his money and the work of those beneath him. Same could be said for us putting so much credit on our owners when Pearson and his team did all the work.
-
They couldn't really have been any more lucky to stay up the first two seasons. But do that and you are given the chance to build something given the awful quality of the teams that come up. It will be interesting to see how much PSR affects them given they didn't get Champions League and have no one of pure profit to sell. It's been a massive risk but at least they've given it a go. You can't help but feel like we'd have been better taking the points deduction and spending over what we have done.

Things change very quickly though in football, as we have seen with us. It's not like there wasn't a "the demise of Leicester City" thread with about 50 pages while they were slumming it in the Championship.

How Do We Make the King Power a Fortress Again?
Gamble92 replied to Ryanlcfc3's topic in Leicester City Forum
Exactly this and as a result we do have a good reputation with at least the media for a good atmosphere. We've proved we can do it. Which probably makes it even worse when it's bad. Those theories about acoustics as just bollocks to be honest. -
Only time it's better to have two number 1s instead of a number 1 and number 2 is if you're visiting your missus' parents house for the first time

First time I heard him I had to check we hadn't demoted Harry Maguire to interviewing duties
