  1. Think the bookies have it right at 50/1 Sorry to say it but it will devalue 2016 some what,if they were to win the thing
  2. Yes,The population statistics in North America seem to be as confusing and misleading as they are over here.
  3. The metro populations of the cities you mention dwarf Leicester.Even if you add on the urban sprawl
  4. Only going on personal experience and having done zero research,I don’t think the traffic is any worse than 25/30 years ago.If anything, changed working habits, better navigational tools and wider motorways have made things slightly better.
  5. The phrase football ULTRA boils my piss.To me a football ultra is someone who never misses a game.Including the women’s reserves away at Accrington.Has the club badge on every piece of crockery.Papers the walls with Jamie Vardy and Marc Albrighton posters and goes to bed in Leicester City pyjamas
  6. About three years ago the traffic cops said they were going to come down hard on the hoggers.I think a few drivers were made an example of but other than that?? The matrix signs often say stay in the left lane unless overtaking.
  7. Miles Leaburn is rapidly becoming a 2020s version of his dad.Easily got enough to play top of the Championship
  8. I think his agent would point out that 60k a week is average for a PL player. So 70/80k for a 25M signing ithat plays striker is to be expected. If you don’t like it someone else will
  9. Getting like both codes of rugby
  10. The Gower/Botham edition was the one I got mid eighties. My dad invented the under the lights 100 version of the game using the subbuteo flloodlights he got me the year before. You could really hit the ball with some power, unlike the modern version.Arguably more fun playing this than Subbuteo.
  11. Brilliant brilliant game.Unfortunately the 2020s version is utter shite
  12. Saviours day was the best song out of the three Cliff Richard XMAS no1s
  13. The nuts and bolts of it
  14. I think the mechanic hits the nail on the head
  15. Genuinely hope that continues and should point out that away matches are different.
  16. The whole stadium is wrong. It’s a soulless bowl that’s basically a wrap round family stand. The best thing about Filbert Street was that each stand or area catered for the different kind of fan. There were arguably 9/10 areas to pick from. But don’t be fooled by the rose tinted spectacle wearers. The Pens during the eighties were often out sung by the away contingent. At times there was more noise during the build up to kickoff and not many more than a couple of hundred at the back joining in.
  17. Expecting 50/60 year olds to start singing and chanting at home games is never going to happen.Apart from the fact that it would be the most Leicester Leicester Ra Ra Ra thing imaginable (Hardly intimidating)Most have grown up by this age.
  18. Them empty seats are getting more noticeable
  19. There was only ever a certain amount of mileage in the Leicester City fairytale.I think it’s forgotten how much winning the league took out the squad physically and emotionally. The disrupted pre season The influx of new players losing Kante etc..Plus the fact that we had to fight on two fronts. We broke the transfer record three times that summer. Anyway the club did reset and I think it was you who posted the other day that five years ago before the Xmas maulings v Man City and Liverpool we looked good for another crack at the title.I fully agree. That autumn 2019 period was the best football I had seen Leicester play.I thought 2nd would look good on the CV
  20. Yet at least two of the biggest 2016 purchases had been extensively scouted by the same team who had previously had so much success. We then went in and got Silva a year later.Pound for pound Leicester City’s worst ever signing.I even remember reading that we had offered 50 million euros for a Slim Silva double swoop a couple of days before the window shut.
  21. It was always an elephant up a tree
  22. Supermarket Christmas adverts seem to be very toned down this year.Is this because they’ve realised that customers aren’t likely to change their food shopping habits just because it’s Christmas?
  23. Big Ian Ormondroyd was on the football league highlights show on Saturday. Aged quite well (He’s past 60 now) He does something to do with working with the community.
  24. Well apart from the obvious legalities it’s way too late now for such drastic action. The cash flows from top down.I’m presuming you would want the other 14 clubs to go back into the football league?I would expect most clubs to go into administration.Funding for youth football at all levels to be cut.Women’s teams to be disbanded and an overall drop in standards across the board. With the greatly reduced TV contracts, ticket sales would be more important than ever to make up for any shortfall.Admission for some National League games is already over 20 quid. Not even mentioned how many owners would just jack.
  25. I thought the whole point of having Christmas on the 25th was to cheer ye folk up when winter was at its darkest? Besides when all the fuss is over, the days are noticeably drawing out.
