  1. Actors, professional sport personalities and celebrities in general who already have a famous close family member.Often in the same field.I know it’s all in the breeding and nothing new.Just seems more noticeable these days.I would make it law that other than the sibling line no one else from that family would be allowed to be particularly famous at anything for four generations.
  2. I had a quick look at a Brum forum a few days ago.Surprised how many were backing him.He needs time and at least two transfer windows etc
  3. The lad’s quality.Millwall did well to sign him.
  4. I can’t see the club ever retrieving any European hard cash for him other than loan fees.
  5. Fair play to WBA going for the three points at the end.Draws are no good to teams in their position.
  6. My argument which I think you may agree with, is to make the required changes top downwards. Not bottom upwards which seems to be the route we will be taking.
  7. No.Just had flashbacks of the drinking Dettol Covid thing.
  8. Amazed people still fall for this sort of guff.He knows exactly what he’s doing
  9. Read today that if the up coming EU elections took place tomorrow then the far right block would make significant gains, whilst the Greens would lose 25% of their contingent. This does not mean that Hitler is coming back on the horizon. It does indicate what direction the EU is heading in. How could this possibly be? Immigration is one factor.Added to by displaced populations, caused by wars and now climate change.with the added need for immigration due to falling birth rates. All situations that will get worse with time, not better. The other major factor,in is the slow down in economic growth for the average bod during the last decade and a half. Some would argue lack of economic growth since the late Seventies.Recently things have gone backwards. How do you sell green policies that are likely to hit average bod’s standard of living the most,to an already hard pressed population, thats stretched to the limit with out risking the rise of populist governments?
  10. A two thirds full Hillsborough rarely generates a great atmosphere at the best of times. It’s such a big ground. The away end is often a bit meh even though we often go there in numbers and usually fill the upper tier minimum. One of the best trips I can remember is when we got tonked 7/1 and everyone was just taking the piss .
  11. If it’s not a matter of real urgency, like a relegation battle for example, then it’s quite common for a manager to take an age to blood a new signing.Particularly striker’s.Or play them on the wing. I don’t think this bloke likes striker’s very much tbh.
  12. Not getting a bean for a player out of contract in the summer.A small loan fee and freed up wages is the best you get if you want rid in January
  13. Was never a massive fan of Venables the manager.Did see really old footage of him being interviewed as a young apprentice some years ago.He came across as such a mature, polite fine looking young man.Really not what I was expecting.Changed my opinion on him after that.
  14. I mean it’s bleeding obvious isn’t it.How many times has the Stadium bounced when Watford rock up,I’m guessing twice. That includes Filbert Street
  15. That table makes Everton’s points reduction look a bit more interesting
  16. I understood at the time the socialism in one country argument.Grow the economy without outside interference and restrictions.EU equals global capitalism boo hiss etc. Not with you on the immigration. The pro Lexit commentators I listened to (If you could find one)Urged for more recruitment from the traditional commonwealth countries to meet any shortfall.Open the door for the white faces.Slam it shut for the brown ones.Nothing socialist about it.Mainstream the Lexit argument was all but ignored save for the occasional appearance of Kate Hoey. Tbh I find poaching foreign labour from developing nations immoral.Bare minimum it has a detrimental short to medium term effect on their economies. We don’t like to think about that though. We like to think their is a magical conveyor belt of cheap labour.without consequence.
  17. I’ve seen the figure of 210000 Ukrainian refugees had arrived in the UK.Even if half have returned that’s still a significant number.China India and Nigerian nationals topping the list is no surprise. The situation in Hong Kong, the fact that India and Nigeria have Commonwealth links and such huge populations. Anyway wasn’t that part of the Lexit argument?Recruit from the Commonwealth
  18. The stats are inflated by a couple of hundred thousand Ukrainians no?
  19. Is Bovril on toast just a Leicester thing?
  20. They would see Hitler as the saviour and welcome Nazi occupation with open arms I’d imagine
  21. The bottom three are highly likely to have the lowest wage bills by quite some way.I would imagine that next year’s squad will get a competitive budget.Considerably more than Luton Burnley and Sheffield United.
