If ever a sign was needed for the city centre to have a radical rethink, this is it. Goodness knows they've had enough warnings. BHS, Fenwick's, Debenhams and Rackhams all down the karsi. The model of city centre high rent and business rates does not work.

Kind of agree. I'm getting on now yet but in 40 odd of my 50 years, they've been out of the top flight. That said, their support base is undoubtedly huge and passionate. Certainly bigger than Chelsea or Man City (new overseas 'fans' excluded) . Maybe same base as Newcastle. And that has to be respected

Patson's been to the dentist bless him with those goggles on

Just seen a couple of pics.on the club account. Hamza defo city's best dressed guy. Stylish dude. His appearances outside court for his DD offence, he looked immaculate too. Judge should've taken that into consideration imo Disappointed to see JJ wearing white trainers with a suit. I know young people do it, but he seems an intelligent lad and he's let himself down there. Ricky needs a tailor...suit jacket at least a size too big. Looks.like his mum has put his brother's on him and said 'it.looks.fine'

Didn't vote. Didn't know you could tbh. But I'd have gone Vesty. KDH obvs is the match winner and star of the team, but Vesty was ridiculously reliable and had the happy ending after a disastrously mismanaged 3 years with us prior

I read it as 25% of current wage (Inc employer's contribution) saved each month for retirement

What Have You Enjoyed Most About This Season?
Paninistickers replied to StanSP's topic in Leicester City Forum
I've enjoyed a few of the vloggers on YouTube. Benjamin Bloom is very good. That Cov lad and his (hot) sister. Plus the individual match day vlogs are very honest.. -
Find this a really interesting conundrum. I've posted a few times on here about what I may or may not need as my pension pot is way below yours. Will you need the same quality of life? I suspect my relaxation needs would be less intense if I'm not working and just pottering in the garden all day and walking down to Morrisons for a daily mail. 25% at 35 sounds helluva a lot to me tbh

You know, that game still wrankles with me a bit. I thought it was out of order.

City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff
Paninistickers replied to davieG's topic in General Chat
Frog Island is only a whisker away from being redeveloped into a really funky cheaper urban suburb (if that makes sense) New builds are already under away (tho I fear it'll be eaten up all by social housing and the balance for a prosperous area won't be right) ...Some lovely buildings ripe for renovation. Riverside walks. Walkable to both town and abbey park. Just needs a couple of daytime cafes (as opposed to just Aldi and Turkish barbers) and evening bars and it'd be set. -
Who do you want for next season in the PL

Both key parts of the second most lamentable PL team on history. Avoid. -
Who do you want for next season in the PL
Paninistickers replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
He don't strike me as a premier level player. The fitness and balance isn't there for me. The stand out player was West Brom's Mikey Johnston, but he's contracted at Celtic. Maybe a 3m level loan deal though? The striker at Middlesbrough looks a handful and the Hull lad, Greaves, has seemed a decent player and organiser. Funnily enough, Kiefer Moore - big donkey so I thought - has shown some great touches for a big man. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Paninistickers replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Fortunately for us, KP always strike me as a proper litigious corporation, as most billionaire businesses are. They'll go on both the attack and defence v the PL / EFL. Not saying I agree with those tactics, but big business tends to do law by stealth. -
Circumstances are much more league one (rightly no parade) than 2014 (culmination of 10 years of effort, pains and helluva lot of money to get back) A parade would be awkward this time

What a championship season it's been. Ok, easy to say now we are sorted. But this week in particular has been extraordinary entertainment. Also better still if you include the Cov FA Cup match
-
He's gotta have been Enzo's. Stinks of stronzo that one. And Doyle. The Cannon signing was bizarre. That one stinks of Rudkin owing an agent a favour. Hermansen, didn't we hear that he was on Man City's radar as a potential long term replacement for Ederson? Mavididi and Fatawu. That's got our scouting team all over them.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Paninistickers replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's absurd and plain for all to see that it's designed to assist the big clubs (who'd never, ever agree to a salary cap, but why should a sport need their agreement?) As a salary cap is out of the window, the only realistic rule changes could be 1. Squad capped at 25 2. No loaning of players to a club in same division (on the basis of conflict of interest) 3. A cap of only three contracted players allowed to be loaned out to other divisions (to avoid Chelsea and man city stockpiling) -
Sign Mikey Johnston. Dunno about anything else tho.

QPR - Leeds (possible promotion)

83 was both brilliant for a 15 game run to get into third, but anticlimatic, because promotion was confirmed a few days later. Fulham having protested to the football league that Derby fans ran on the pitch with a minute left to play causing an abandonment. So was a wait for the FL meeting at Lytham St Annes to rubber stamp our promotion

With a bit of relief now, it's been a humbling season. Lots to like about the championship and its competitors, just not the financial ruin it leads to. No VAR. Real fans following real teams. No Messironaldo fans from Asia wearing man U / Liverpool half and half scarves. Cool grounds such as Loftus Road. Chaotic results. I'll kinda.miss.it and I kinda won't. Tho I suspect we'll be back in 12 months time!

There's no way Whelan would sanction that. No mention of community, diversity or charity foundation. And a whiff of masculinity about the post. Someone is gonna be in biiiig trouble.
-
A CEO and FD would have to sign off. They can't be unaccountable in this. An over promoted academy coach surely doesn't have final say on hundreds of millions. And if Whelan simply signs off his deals without checking, more fool her. The club adminstration is riddled with incompetence, pettiness, unprofessionalism and subservience, inside out

Without any irony, it's one of my favourite buildings in Leicester. It's disgusting, bizarre and totally unique. And in an awful area. But fascinating. Needs a preservation order. Give it 20 years and the thing will be iconic Edit; the 'arthouse' cinema was the Cinecentre ....think it showed mainstream films and soft porn
