  1. When we played them they were at rock bottom and losing games hand over fist. Jackson, Sterling, that Brighton long haired lad. 3 or 4 youth teamers Garbage.
  2. If it wasn't for Sterling we could've conceded 10.. That's not down to Vestergaard. But the tactics. Tbh, deep down, it's a serious worry for next season how we were carved open so easily by a poor team
  3. Absolutely correct. He was outstanding that day. And two of his best performances this season came v Leeds away and Bournemouth away, when real defending had to be done. He's a very good player, horrendously mismanaged by Rodgers. But, as you go on to say, nobody can defend in their own. I'd have JJ on the right (our best one on one defender and quickest) and a desperately needed new player on the left. Coady and Faes as cover.
  4. Was obvious from the get go. You can't be that cavalier and not expect for PL analysts to work it out within 5 or 6 games. Might work in Japan or Oz or Celtic playing senior league teams though
  5. Mads and Vesty (tho he's technically a free agent) and Faes ....can't think of anyone else
  6. That's what they want. The club doesn't want the money. They want you to have a mobile ticket
  7. Rudkin on phone to his agent = Booty Call
  8. No chance. Man for man, they look miles off teams like Hull, Cov, Saints etc
  9. Treading over old ground here, but the answer was/is in the 18 county T20, played nationwide. It was ever thus. There's probs an argument for Scotland and Ireland to have a team too, as they did in the old Benson& Hedges, therefore a twenty team tournament. Stick games on BBC red button and/or ITVX, and show the second innings run chase live for 90 mins on mainstream TV. Let the counties have unlimited overseas players. Obvs it'd mean Surrey etc blowing everyone else out of the water but so be it. No north and south bollox. Kent v Durham and Glam v Yorks all good.. Games played more or less every night from May bank holiday til August bank holiday
  10. Looks.like the counties have predictably voted for money and suicide over no money and bankruptcy. I guess not much of a choice. I'm just not really sure how private equity firms can monetise this 100 shite. I'd guess a good 70% of existing cricket fans hate it and, while accepting that was the idea, I think the new 'fans' it has attracted (and was.meant to) will be as flakey af. Either the new kid will progress to real cricket or,.more likely, they will bore of it pretty damn fast. I just can't see where the money is in it
  11. Wasnt it you play the team immediately above/below you?
  12. I'm not entirely against it..It's way more preferable than a closed shop super league elite. Agree with this. I'd actually find it super interesting if regional leagues were formed, for example a Scots, Scandi, Irish league Dutch Belgian combined Eastern European polish, Czech, Hungary type league
  13. Mate being largely non confrontational myself in that sort of scenario, I'd ask to speak with someone senior ish you get on with, explain you feel a.bit awkward, and hand then a brief letter saying that you've cracked a code, can save them thousands in contractor fees and possibly hundreds of thousands in onward operating costs and that, you'd like to be recognised financially for it....and the question at the end, are they open to that?
  14. Woolies and Littlewoods too!
  15. Not sure it's the 'homeless' that annoy people. That's a catch all word. Basically it's the skanks. Toothless women weighing 5 stone wet through walking at 100 mph alongside two fellas (who wear the same clobber if it's -10 or +35 degrees) on an absolute mission
  16. I didn't know they had them (as I refuse to visit the place) But yep, they are much much needed 250k a year is peanuts to the council. Tbh, traders may well pay an extra grand in rates to fund it
  17. What's going on ATM the stock and share prices? Anyone in the know? I've had a very welcome 4% lift these last couple of weeks.
  18. Very few are. And some of those few that are have chosen that lifestyle. The rest must've either made astoundingly bad decisions in their life or be uniquely and incredibly unlucky.
  19. Granby street could and should be a lovely entrance to the city. It wasnt that long ago it was. The Grand is there. San Carlo. Is that cool gay bar still going? It would'nt take much to fluff it up. In the absence of a.sufficent Police, the council could do worse than to sink 250k a year into funding 5 or 6 permanent street wardens to shoo away the filth towards belgrave road, where, let's face it, indian people don't give two shits about legless, drug addled paupers on skateboards. They'll all have fun there together
  20. Or maybe he's taking responsibility....
  21. Shame that. I like us in these world tours. We've an extra three week break compared with other PL teams and the play off winners. This pre season is the perfect time for a couple of far flung trips
  22. Agree. Pearson in retrospect embarrassed himself managing Kane. Firstly, we didn't need him at that time. We had Wood, Nugent and Vards.ffs,.more than enough at that level Second, he didn't know how to use what was clearly a talented footballer..(tho I'd have never have guessed he was THAT talented tbf)
  23. Absolutely this ...Simon Reeve is a pro, and excellent at his job. Martin Clunes ballooning over the Serengeti, Nadia Swahili doing the pilgrims walk to Santiago de Compostela, no thanks. Tbh, I'd love to see them again. I might fire them up on YouTube. John Carter, from Torremolinos, highlighting the price of a pint and English breakfast.
  24. I wonder what the correlation is between those who leave on 86 mins and those who shop at Fosse Park?
  25. Always slightly amused that Ghezzal was absolutely hammered in his time with us, yet was a very respectable player, albeit not quite good enough for what we needed at that time. Yet rank ordinary ploddi players like Yunus, or Under, or the criminally abysmal Tete, got far less stick and often, got quite a lot of advocates. Edit to add; Perez. He is miles and miles ahead of Yunus, yet few players pissed off the crowd as.much.
