  1. I'm the last one to defend the Dutchman. I've been pretty unequivocal that I despise the guy. I agree; his own arrogance in not bothering due diligence led to the selection of Ward. But had Cooper selected Iversen as no 2 (as he should've), the Dutchman would've picked Iversen on the basis of his laziness / arrogance / lack of research
  2. I couldn't believe at the start of the season that Cooper had Ward on the bench. I felt physically sick. Particularly that a professional, competent Iversen was in the squad. That Cooper decision led directly to the surreal, horrifying moment of Ward looking visibly shaken at having to come on at St James Park. Which then, led to the catastrophic wall of silence - players, coaches, DoF - of not warning the Dutchman about the consequences of playing Ward v Wolves. The butterfly effect eh of Cooper having a mid range national league player on the bench .... Edit; there were genuine and realistic discussions on here about playing Faes or Vesty in goal ahead of Ward.
  3. Not at their gaff. One solitary league cup win (and even that by default - we were losing in the original tie abandoned) between 1972 and 2013. And we'd played them in a 20 seasons of those 40 years.
  4. We are going to take an absolutely brutal bumming at forest. A hard working organised fast confident team versus ......the General Bob meister de Cordova Reid Add to the fact we get bummed at Forest at the best of times. Division above and cup winners? Bummed. Them relegated from PL and us 8th and league cup winners? Bummed. Same division in championship pushing for promotion? Bummed ....you name it,.forest have bummed us.
  5. who selects the routes though @davieG ? How comes the rail companies decide you can go Cardiff to Nottingham via Derby ....and not Cardiff to Nottingham via Leicester? The line exists to go Leicester to Manchester via Derby and Stockport (I've been on it) but no trains run the route? Can the councils canvas the rail operator to lay on more.routes?
  6. Well, I've just told you that isn't the case. They followed last season's manager to the absolute letter. It's about your mate the Dutchman. The players can be led, if the leader actually knows their craft.
  7. What on earth has BdcR achieved this season tho? A missed kick that led to an assist..a goal that hit him in the face from a yard. No take ons,.no tackles, no progressive passes, no duals won, no headers won, no dribbles The guy just exists. He's an extra in a movie. ,'man in bar'
  8. If you want to share tickets still, You could buy a cheap smart phone and use that literally as the physical card.. Essentially paying a 100 quid premium I'm out tho..ST since the Pearson promotion. I've never really liked 'having' to go every week anyways. Now's the time and I do wonder if over the next 5-6 years, crowds down to 25k, it'll freshen things up a bit.
  9. That isn't correct at all. They need to be led. And believe in the battle plan. Disciplinarian management is a myth. Real discipline comes.from Structure, professional progression, coaching, critical thinking. Neither Cooper nor this dreadful Dutchman offer any of that. They followed Enzo to the letter last season, even against all logic in that March April period..
  10. Wider rail questions....How's the rail network plan its routes? I was at Manchester yesterday....the network of routes is extraordinary. Except,.ofc, Leicester (and Nottingham actually) Bournemouth Cardiff, Cleethorpes, Huddersfield, Bristol all sorts of routes in all sorts of lines. And the routes seem fixed..like been in existence for years Why can't some of the cross country routes pass through Leicester? Is there a reason?
  11. There is something kinda amusing to thi know Faes, Vesty and BdcR run up slag heaps
  12. Why's he keep going on about the Chelsea performance? Just because it was a notch above abysmal, that hardly makes it a basis of pride and ethics.
  13. I think it'd be pretty reasonable to say Cooper wouldn't have blindly stuck with the same losing tactics and players, defeat after defeat after defeat Okoli would've had more minutes. Buonanotte would certainly have had more minutes..losing Fatawu it's possible Stephy would've had more minutes. Soumare and BdcR and Ayew would all have had less minutes. Those changes alone would've - at worst - garnered the same results
  14. This is subjective, but I think we've often played teams 'at the right time' and still managed to lose.. As pointed out, spurs and villa were decimated of their first team. But,.as I said subjectively, Man City were at the bottom of their curve and frankly, there for the taking.. Arsenal were very low key and minus a striker. Fulham and Palace didn't need to move out of second gear. Chelsea were poor last week. There's no defending it. No matter how bad and clueless Cooper was, this guy is at best, just as bad. And in all probability,. significantly worse.
  15. Good question.. It's always been a bit like this. Not to this extent. But we've always been a very fractured fan base. Back in the 80s and 90s, you had the insane, unwashed, sandwich munching brigade + those looking for trouble (both of whom couldn't give a shit about the results) Maybe it stems from a city which made socks, bras and knickers. Not quite the welding and panel beating shipyards of Glasgow & Tyneside.
  16. Any self respecting manager could squeeze points out of 11 mads, JJ, Vk, Okoli, Faes, Vesty, Winks, Skipp, Wilf, Buonanotte, Stephy Daka, BEK, Ayew Vards, Soumare, BdcR is essentially playing with 8.5 players. No manager can get points with so few contributing.
  17. I think you've answered your own question. It's us, not him. Despite Coady saying it's the best atmosphere he's ever experienced on loop, the mood in the camp must be abysmal.. Losing every week. Certain defeat every week when the players hear who's playing and in what formation. Coaches as poor as Dawson leading sessions every day. And now it seems Barry Mcguigan isn't taken seriously either. Eduardo collecting triple VKs wages for nothing. Hamza collecting double. His mate Souttar frozen out of the club. Coady laughing and joking 24/7 would send me mad alone.
  18. Wouldn't be surprised if Vards is there
  19. That team would tear the championship apart, subject to the Dutchman not being here.. Wilf will be off tho. He has a clause..Almost certainly BEK too. If he hasn't, his agent needs shooting. Winks, Skipp and Hamza is more than enough for the championship Souttar Nelson JJ VK Ricky Okoli and Coulibaly all way above anything Leeds, Sheff Utd Burnley have
  20. I still think there are plenty of decent lads within the squad who've been treated really really poorly by the manager.. I haven't given up on the likes of Skipp, Winks, Stephy, Buonanotte (albeit he's off) , Okoli - all have been shat on by the Dutchman Plenty more decent lads too - even if they aren't PL level; examples include JJ, VK, Ricky (nowadays), Daka, Big Harry Souttar We just gotta hope the Ayew, Vesty, BdCR, Coady deals all have huge wage reductions in place for relegation and that they fck.off. The reset had to start with the isolation of all these tired, cynical, patronising aforementioned old fckers. And the serial failures in Soumare and Faes. Until those six are hounded / bullied / bribed out of the club, we can't start afresh .
  21. I think the only logical option, as suggested on here yesterday, is that there is a relegation clause attached to his contract. I suspect even Rudkin knows they have made an absolute pig's ear of appointing this egocentric, nasty man. Plus, a useful sacrificial lamb for the 'review' that Whelan and Rudkin will conduct (and conclude that they were blameless, nay to be congratulated, on yet another impeccable year of stewardship)
  22. Yeah, that was noticeable yesterday...a few posters gleefully saying that they'd put their seat up for resale.. Nooooo!!! Empty chair them.
  23. This. We have robotic, drone like fans who crave and are plugged in to routine
  24. 😂😂😂😂
  25. Yeah, gotta echo the comment about room sizes. You've got to REALLY splash out (like.London) to get anywhere remotely spacious....I'd personally check Airbnb. That said, yeah, ol' gay Paris is just another best city in the world for going for a stroll,. stopping at literally any bar or brasserie, and just taking in vibes
