  1. Couple of weeks ago there was about two dozen protesters for spurs outside the ground. And over the years, 70k + match going, selfie stick waving Scandi, Sikh and Surrey Man U fans couldn't give a shit about protesting against the glazers. It was left to a hard core 2k or so to bang the drum 500 or so was a great start for a first demo.. Next time,.a demo with a few tweaks and simplifications and it'll grow. @ProjectReset did a great job
  2. Fanbase has always been a bit split. Back in the late 80s the 'hooligans' wanted Pleat Out but the majority of the crowd stuck by him til the very end. The only period the 'loyalist', what would now be KPFC fans, became vitriolic and unified with the more vocal fans was when Brian Little - someone they had taken to their hearts - returned for his first game as Villa manager. That atmosphere then was extraordinarily nasty. Best worst atmosphere I've ever heard. In that same period the nerds were unified about Mark McGhee and even MON during his infamous first 10 games. So, apart from that 18 month period, we've always been split between the fox leisure nerds as they used to be called and the vocal elements
  3. As a fanbase, we don't half pick odd scapegoats, don't we? I'd wager most of those who call out VK are the same as those who are perfectly ok with BdcR standing around avoiding doing anything wrong.
  4. Every week, I see the usual from three and just think, if only somehow we can bum our way to 65 mins and be in the game, we have the better players off the bench to win this. Yesterday at 70 mins, the game was there for the taking. Some tactical tweaks to bring on a three combo of Daka, Stephy, Facu, Winks or even Skipp....we could've asked real questions of Arsenal.
  5. I agree. He speaks well. I can see why he's liked (even though I don't like him, lol) But the executive level within our club needs to look beyond charisma and examine his credentials
  6. We need more than people just hiding in the pitch though, avoiding doing anything wrong.. At some point, we are gonna have to take a gamble and play players who can affect a game and not just stand on the margins. Heaven forbid they might fail..or misplace a pass....give us all.at least some hope, or,. dare I say, give us a bit of entertainment.
  7. Why? Not digging you out in particular. But I find it fascinating, almost on an anthropological scale, why so many are keen to give him slack. It's his looks. I don't mean (necessarily) on a homo erotic basis. Bit it's remarkable how charisma, looks, vibes can get somebody so far ahead. There is absolutely no way an ugly fcker like Cooper gets this much slack.. Edit; this applies to the players too. They'd clearly decided Cooper was a loser from the second he walked through the door.
  8. Rohl won't even be on the radar. Let alone discussed. Less still appointed.
  9. I know we've had our disagreements on the Buonnotte thing. So I watched BdcR today for these famed 'stats' of BdcR that keep facu out the team Between minute 1-39, he touched the ball once. ONCE. His second touch was on 39 mins when he got a toe to the ball to kick it out for a throw in.. How much more of a passenger can Facu be than a player who, simply, takes almost no part on the game?
  10. I can't stand Ayew but, at least he does something. Even those infuriating hold ups before he passes back to the centre half he got it from. Or his appalling boots up the pitch today. But at least, at the very least, he gets involved. And then, almost through law of averages, he does a few good things second half. Whereas BdcR....just, simply,. nothing. He doesn't do any more than a fit 25 year old from the stands would do. Generally just stands more or less in the right place. But that's it. Total passenger
  11. Played exactly how he was before being dropped. Why on earth he was dropped is an answer only the Dutchman knows.
  12. Another game today of absolute waste of time.. I know the stat nerds will be all over me as per usual telling me how marvelous he is and how useless Buonnotte and Stephy are. Can the stat nerds tell me,.first half, How many touches he had? How many tackles? How many duels he won? How many completed passes? How many dribbles? I can tell you. As I watched. But let's hear what 'the stats' say
  13. 200 more than Foxes Trust have ever cobbled together..
  14. Today. Publicity.. Tomorrow. We'll see. But potentially a march of 500-5000 people
  15. Absolute shambles..I stick up for you lot on here as I'd guess you're all well meaning proper passionate City fans.... but you are so wound up in committees, sub committees,.minute taking, association rules and banging a chairman's hammer - 'all those in favour say aye!' one lone punter on here has achieved more in three weeks than you lot have in 20+ years.
  16. It's about us, not them. My club. Your club. Never was theirs. Dgaf what the share certificates say or who's listed at companies house. We as fans have lent the club to them for a bit, in exchange for money and success.. Now it's time to have it back. .
  17. Well done @ProjectReset ...start of this week I thought this was gonna be a case of someone having what seemed a good idea a few weeks ago and then losing interest...and thought you'd almost hoped the idea went away.. But, nope, you've been patient and stuck at it and whatever happens tomorrow, personally I think youve played a blinder.
  18. I'd have been more surprised had Cliff have backed this.. I remember him spouting (spunking?) the same sort of drivel as far back as the Pleat Out days. He was considered a (somewhat loveable) fool by the fans even then He's an extraordinary anachronistic man in some ways. As are his wife and daughter too. An entire family dedicating 50+ years to represent - and in many cases look after - 40 or so of society's forgotten souls. A absolute fool/tool in any other sphere outside of the Supporters Club though.
  19. I'd take a guess that at some point Whelan paid a lot of money to some consulting company for a strategy...and they've come up with some kind of profile of punter akin to the Hundred,.or WWF wrestling, or those charity games with Hollyoaks people in them. She thinks she's ahead of the game in pursuing that crowd aggressively and squeezing out the old school that hinders the vision.
  20. Logic dictates that yes. But I'm not so sure. The club, and Whelan in particular, appears to loathe the supporters. Seems absurd. But the evidence is there, year after year. The bans. Charity Shield.Moscow. Warsaw. The no general sale debacle last season. The refusal to publicise general sale. If there are, say, four broad demographics that follow City, Whelan despises three of them. Only that weird, compliant, Facebook, streets of Eindhoven 'palm Sunday' brigade are wanted, bowing and scraping and munching on coconuts Edit; sadly that last demographic described above constitutes around 75% of our support in the stadium
  21. This is exactly the reason people should be protesting on Saturday. Too many will be wrapped up about Rudkin. It's Top. It's the ultimate KP shit kicker herself - 'yes m'lud' Whelan. It's Rudkin. All three of them totally and equally out of their league.
  22. Fair play to @ProjectReset but first, I dunno what time this is, or where. And I'm looking for it.. Second, as been pointed out, and I hate to be a naysayer, but you gotta think these things out. 11am or whatever is an absolute shocker of timing. Read the room. Anticipate that most punters are lazy. Me included. Make it after the game. Almost certain defeat. And the punters are fed up and ready to have a pop And even if it weren't a defeat, 50 people protesting after a win is still a good marker for depth of feeling.
  23. It's not a protest though. Leicester people should do what we do best. Moan. A big moan after the game. Idgaf if moaning is covered under section 34 clause a paragraph 1. I enjoy moaning.
  24. I remember trying to boot the directors wooden door down at the old main stand after the Sheffield United debacle under O Neil. No volunteers in yellow bibs needed. Or when the G Block invaded the pitch via the old members terrace to protest about Pleat and Shipman. I admire the intent of ol' @ProjectReset ....but herding kittens is a fool's errand. A simple 'everyone who wants to moan vocally about some or all of top / Whelan / rudkin / the Dutchman' meet outside that pub outside the holiday inn 10 mins AFTER final whistle
