  1. You're a UFS dude right? Are they there in force?
  2. I'll be there matey if you give us all a where and when - but no volunteering. Not sure what a volunteer would need to do. Don't exactly need yellow bibs. But you can count on me for a number
  3. I'm not surprised. There can't be much between the clubs in terms of stature. Certainly none in terms.of money. And playing squad wise, Blackburn are a good two seasons ahead of Derby. I think it's a move Eustace might well regret professionally. If Derby survive this season, they haven't the finances to keep dodging the league one trapdoor Reading between the lines tho, it might purely be down to family reasons rather than career progression
  4. So what's happening then? This flashing roadsign thing with jumbled messages? Where? Doesn't have to be massive. Just organised. That said, an in stadium visible scarf waving of disapproval at, say, 15 mins is exactly the sort of thing his royal royal worshipfulness oh benevolent one forever in our hearts would squirm at.
  5. Courtesy of the (brilliant) jackal, I never knew of this Bowie minor classic;
  6. True. But Notts fans - of the three fans groups I described - will still follow Notts in the T20, and not the trent rockets. Same for Glamorgan and Hants. Probably for Lancs and Yorks too. The only two I can see as viable are the two London franchises
  7. Agree. Still begs the question, who will actively follow it? I realise it's set up for new supporters (what looks like on telly middle class British Asian doctors and their kids) . But it can't rely on them alone. That demographic is too fickle and not established enough to have an emotional investment The existing cricket supporters are probs broken up into three tranches; The England fans. Nowadays Like a cross of middle class darts type event day and race day boozers. The older posher pensioners, with their scorecards and Panama hats. The T20 boozy lads crowd. ....none of them will really follow the hundred.
  8. I'm gonna guess at that level of wage - 18 months on 350k a year judging by his buyout clause value - jumping to, say, 450k a year for three years is very attractive These guys aren't on player wages.
  9. I can't make my mind up on the cash windfall. Is it the greatest con job ever by the ECB?..., who I have called blind since the formation of the hundred. Have they shafted hundreds of millions for a brand that nobody watches, has no real estate or assets and not even any players? Or, will the ECB allow the investors to aggressively expand the format throughout the summer, and turn it to T20?
  10. Strange one, Eustace to Derby. They are woeful and broke. Blackburn maybe middling but the trajectory is slightly upwards. And they surely can match Derby's salary. Will be a pity if he goes there, as he's decent.
  11. Yeah, but the point was made last night. Winks cannot do what Wilf does. Yet he's asked to do so. It won't work. As we've seen game after game after game. So what to do as a manger?!....maybe cover the weaknesses and don't just go like for like.
  12. It's a relegation fight. Needs must. Give me that over winding up away fans.
  13. Mate, it's a skill of management. Not all players are programmed the same.. Martin O Neil was a genius at it.like Constantly telling Savage he was the worst player, least talent etc....savage went out raging hahaha Management is a talent. The Dutchman ain't got it
  14. ****s sake dude. You type everything I wanna say, lol. Thanks! Stephy needs management. It's all there. We saw it last season, even when he's a mardy ****er. He's been badly managed this year
  15. Exactly that. Just a mini example, that run McAteer made for the breakaway. If we had that desire - way above ability - all season, we'd have stayed up...and next season, having players with a modicum of talent but could run the bollox off every championship team, we'd walk it.
  16. No, I'm not..why? Ones black. Ones white. Ones fast, ones slow. One can run hard for 90 mins. One can't.
  17. The thing is, most on here don't seem to understand how you get out of a relegation fight.. It's largely about work. We can all argue who's better and worse (I think Stephy is miles better but that's not my point) ....it's about who's fitter? Who's stronger? Who's fastest? Just fcking get the hard runners in. Set them a task. And manage them
  18. Mate Vards went two seasons ago We get flashes. But in a relegation fight, you need a player that can do the hard running more than we need a player winding up the opposition fans. He's the GOAT. But it's over.
  19. Hallelujah
  20. Really hope he's not injured again With all his limitations, we are massively improved with him up top over Vards. That said, the Dutchman will drop him anyways, so I guess the injury is academic
  21. Yep, I remember start of last season pre transfer deadline, most of this board considered him the devil incarnate. Always has been an absolute legend for us. Even on his off days..
  22. Have man U ever played well against us? They just rock up and win. xG as always less than zero
  23. Lol, that's pushing it a bit.. Bit like saying that insurance dude in new York instinctively headed a bullet
  24. Ooo rude!
  25. I've banged on and on all season. Vards is us playing with 10 men. A complete waste of time waiting week after week for the occasional bit of magic Even a very ordinary Daka is fit and fast and gives us a man up there.
