No real point in arguing who's worse out of Rowett, Cifuentes or this squad of players - they're all massively s**t. Hard to say if Rowett is worse than Cifuentes. The last few games under Marti were just as bad as this, the tide had turned. Cifuentes and the rest of this squad were carried by Fatawu and James in the first half of the season. As soon as their goals, assists and moments of individual brilliance stopped (through injury or lack of form) - so did this team. Without those two we'd probably have been in or around the relegation zone all season. A different manager could probably do better (or at least try different tactics). But we really weren't/aren't an attractive proposition. No manager with any sense wants to come to a club in our freefall, who's DoF looks at Daka and Ayew for half a season and thinks in January: 'They'll do, let's go get Joe Aribo on loan'.
-
I get that this guy is frustrating (even though he doesn't really have anyone to cross too). But both him and James are probably the only reason we haven't spent the entire season around the relegation zone. As soon as these two got injured or went off form the entire team went to s**t. We were far too reliant on both of their goals and assists in the first half of the season.
-
Might as well sack him. 1 win in 10 is not good enough. We've played some of the poorer teams in the league as well. Yes, we create chances - but, trying exactly the same tactics every week just show he's clueless and can't fix it. His subs are baffling. We're going to be relegated with him in charge. We have nothing to lose. But I'm not sure anything can now save this squad of lightweight clowns.
-
Find it quite hard to judge a set piece coach with these players. Obviously it's not good enough. But in most starting 11's we only have 2/3 players over 6 foot. It's a squad of short, physically weak players who just fanny around in the box and are rarely brave enough to attack the ball. We desperately need more height in our squad next season.
-
We have a squad that's overhyped or over-the-hill with no confidence. A lot of the established players have been carried by better players in their career; youth players come in and we look worse. So I have some sympathy with Rowett. But how many times can you trot out 4-2-3-1 when it clearly doesn't work and see the same problems. One of our strikers can't run, the other can't control a ball. They don't work as a single striker. As soon as we went 2 up top they looked better. It shouldn't take till the 70th minute losing against Wednesday to try something different.
-
We finally try two strikers upfront and look what happens. We're creating chances.
-
We're 1-0 down to Wednesday. Why are we not bringing more attackers on. This clearly isn't working. This is stupid. We need 2 goals.
-
It's embarrassing how short and physically weak this team is.
-
I wish Rowett would just try another system 3-4-3- or 3-5-2. Anything different than just trying the same s**t with the same players.

Copied this from a different tweet: Britain only has 4 operational nuclear missile submarines. Labour Together MP Joani Reid, the Red Princess whose husband David Taylor has been arrested over allegations of spying for China, has been accused of improper behaviour with the Captains of two (50%) of these vital boats

I mean, they're not really, they just have weaknesses like all aircraft carriers. The fact that the US had to move it's carriers away from a conflict with Iran sort of shows why they're becoming less important. They're very vulnerable (especially as missile technology advances), they have lots of maintenance issues which are expensive to maintain, they need a lot of people to run, and they need to be surrounded by a fleet of other ships to protect them. It's also why if a country starts a war, it's a good idea to warn it's allies so they can prepare. You can't just send aircraft carriers out at the click of a finger. The USS Gerald Ford cost $13 billion dollars and a laundry fire caused so much damage and took over 30 hours to put out. They were already spending $4 million dollars and $400,00 dollars a day on trying to fix toilets that don't flush properly.
-
I'll be surprised if they do put troops on the ground. The US couldn't even defend their own bases or Thaad missile defence systems when they launched a surprise attack. Those guys would be sitting ducks. Even if they could get them there without being shot down or sunk - how do you keep them there and resupply them. All nearby bases destroyed/abandoned - and their aircraft carriers had to leave the combat zone almost as soon as they entered it. The world's largest carrier: the USS Gerald Ford is now out of action for over a year - due to a 'laundry fire'. It's probably just a big bluff, but it's clear Iran have been preparing for this for 40 years and his bluffs aren't working. The American public are not ready to see the expression on their soldier's faces moments before death as a cheap drone flys into them. Drone's are modern IEDs that fly with cameras now. Trump and his yes men have boxed themselves in. The most powerful side doesn't decide when a war ends, it's how long the weakest side can resist. You can't kick a hornet's nest, then just demand all the hornets go back into the hive when it doesn't go to plan.
-
Changed his mind just before all the US markets opened on a Monday. He cares more about that than anything else. He started the war on a Friday night after they'd closed - and probably thought/hoped it would be over before Monday.

Or: They've called my bluff and because I set a deadline now I have to say this.

Yes. We won the last game and looked a lot better defensively. The first game anyone had won with this squad for two months. That's managing football. Did you see how s**t this lot looked under King for every game. He basically puts out the same team as Tuesday and they turn to s**t.
-
It's hard to manage this club when you don't know what you're going to get from this lot. They can look like a completely different team from one half to the next - let alone game to game. People calling him a fraud for picking the same players who won a few days ago doesn't really make sense. There are problems like the recruitment, lack of height, lack of physicality, lack of fitness, and that the spine of the team is so weak. The main problem is these players are so mentally weak. They have nowhere to hide now. I guarantee you the players were living in a delusion that they were better than this - and it was all other people's fault (like managers). Now most of them know it's on them. They really are lower championship players who've been carried for their career - this is their level. And just like when delusion meets reality, they can't cope. They wilt under the slightest pressure - and even worse - if someone makes a mistake like Nelson today, they treat it as an excuse to not even try anymore. We have to stop blaming managers and letting these players off.

He looks good on the ball. But his communication, awareness and heading really, really need improving. He's young, so he'll have a really bad performance like today, it's just part of his development. It's more worrying that this season he's been part of a defence that concedes at least 2 goals a game and he rarely stands out. I don't care what he did at Oxford anymore, I care what he's doing right now. Even with the odd half-decent performance (that people blow out of proportion on here) it isn't good enough.

Trump says it's nearly over. What if Iran disagrees. He's opened pandoras box here, now he's trying to shut it now it hasn't gone to plan. Iran will have planned for all outcomes. Strategically, why would Iran stop. They've been under sanctions for years. Israel/Netanyahu aren't just going to disappear. The last few times they've negotiated they've been bombed, so they've got no interest/trust in that. They've managed to make America abandon all their bases, destroyed lot's of radar and missile defence systems. Why would they just stop now. America and Israel will just learn from these mistakes, strengthen, then probably come back. And the new leader is more hardcore - and just had his family wiped out. If they keep this going for a few months up until the American mid-terms, causing enough disruption to the US economy, then Republican's/Trump are in real trouble. All Iran has to do is fire off a few missiles everyday and keep the Strait of Hormuz closed (or allow certain countries through). Edit: some Republicans are pissed.

He's an odious little *****. But he's honest, I guess! These are the kind of clowns advising Trump. The rest are sycophantic podcasters, youtubers, grifters and religious nutters. This is what happens when you fire senior military, intelligence and diplomatic officers who weren't blindly loyal yes men. All those people who would have advised against this, warned of the risks, retaliations are gone. Now there's no-one to de-escalate. Iran have been preparing and planning for this for decades. They've already taken out the US's bases in the region. They just have to survive, not win, and they know it. They know the damage they can do to the world economy by dragging this out. Edit: there's more...

These jokers are so far out of their depth now.

Evra saying what most of us are thinking when ex-Utd players criticise Carrick. He just has no filter. Last line is the best: Most of these guys get a managerial job and get fired straightaway. I said to Neville: 'It's easy to talk on TV. When you were at Valencia, they asked you for paella, and you gave them fish and chips.'"
-
As soon as MVDV got sent off it gave this lot an excuse. They've got no character or backbone. It's why they finished 17th last year too. It really isn't a good squad of players. Both Ange and Levy must be having mixed emotions watching this.
-
Might have been idea to ask Zelensky who's been fighting these drone for years before they launched this war. Unless of course this hasn't gone to plan.

MTG hasn't really changed. You have to look at her as a true believer when it comes to America First. She wants no involvement in any foreign wars. She wants all their tax dollars spent at home on the American people. She was never just anti-Ukraine. She's always been one of the only American politicians pointing out how many American politicians take money from AIPAC - and how much they take. She always wanted the Epstein files released. Now she's realised she got played - she fell for Trump's/MAGA's con. It is odd when you see her saying something you agree with. Always worth remembering she used to believe all the school shootings like Sandy Hook and Parkland were staged conspiracies. She mocked and harassed some of the victims. But it is nice seeing these hard-core right-wing people turn on themselves. She always was a horrible bully. It's just now she's on the other side, so she's striking a different tone - cause she isn't that brave. It's much easier to bully and mock school shooting survivors than it is the Trump.
