  1. How does it work now though? If you're a small company that's gone out of business due to the tariffs; or a big company that's lost millions in revenue. Can you sue the government to get your money back? Surely they've got some sort of claim. I appreciate I could probably look this up myself. I just can't be bothered and wonder if someone just knows.
  2. I wanted Canada to win this so they could beat the Yanks (if they get there) in the final. Not looking good atm. But plenty of time still.
  3. l've watched a couple of these videos/podcasts. One thing that always makes me laugh is they rarely mention that we couldn't even send a fax on time for a £22 million player. That's how badly we've been run (and how long). People forget, or don't even know, cause there's so much else miss-management..
  4. It's not really rumours though. Long before any of this Epstein stuff came to light it was known that Charles and Andrew didn't like each other. Decades ago it was known about. I do agree with your second point. Unlike in America where they don't seem to be doing much apart from helping cover it up. I imagine Mandelson will be next; we've already seen emails which could fall into the same charge. Hopefully they'll both get sent to prison. Whatever the Royals do, how they've handled this Virginia Giuffrie situation will stain them. They helped Andrew pay it off, whilst claiming innocence. Then after years of smears they wait till she's committed suicide to force Andrew to give up his titles. It's a real shame she isn't alive to see all this.
  5. I do find it funny they've arrested him on his birthday.
  6. We don't know what's happened behind the scenes. You can only advise an idiot. You can't actually make him do it. I've come to the conclusion Top is genuinely thick and has some sort of anxious avoidance personality trait where he just ignores big decisions or problems for as long has he can. Hoping they magically get better. He come across as someone who's had Mummy and Daddy (or people who work for them) fix all his problems in life. And he just isn't mentally capable of being the main man. The fact so many people like Pearson and Vardy spoke glowingly about her when she finally quit spoke volumes to me. For all we know, she was at her wits end, trying her best cause she knew how inept he was.
  7. It may not be that complicated of a case for all we know. Andrew hasn't been arrested for being a nonce; he's been arrested for misconduct in public office. It covers a wide range of things - which I imagine are a lot easier to prove. They might not need masses of resources to do this. Prince Charles has always disliked him as has William (in fact no one in the Royal family apart from the Queen seemed to like him) so they might not help him much. They might even give evidence.
  8. Surely one day a club will have their deduction increased after appealing. Unless the formalities always are you just appeal no matter what. I'm assuming we only got 6 points cause the league are genuinely worried we'll get relegated. I know PSR has it's issues but, really, it was probably brought in to protect fans from owners like Top (and Rudkin). People who are so inept and clueless that they spend money they don't have instead of running the club properly.
  9. I thought Arsenal had this won. I feel like a little s**t saying this: But the meltdown if they blow this would be hilarious to watch. Think Man City with the game in hand might come back now.
  10. I had to give up my ticket due to work the season after the pandemic. I was really surprised how much I didn't miss it. Only thing I missed was not seeing my friend who I used to go with every week. This is the problem when Premier League clubs start acting like American teams. They start treating fans like customers and you lose that connection. The biggest problem here is: in America, the team and the customers accept it. Over here the clubs want you to be customers when things are going well, but revert to being fans when it's not going so well. And as LCFC seem to be finding out, that's not feasible.
  11. Whilst it's the managers job to get players playing. They can't give them personality transplants. The only way to fix a squad like we have is to replace players with better characters. We've been so badly run that a manager can't currently do that. You have people who blame the manager because, quite frankly, they're terrible judges of football players/squads. There were people on here who were still saying in January that on paper this is the best squad in the Championship 😂. Or Marti's biggest fault is he's managed to convince people on here that this is a bad squad. How anyone can still look at our strike force or defence and think it's the best in the league is delusional. This is a bad squad. Full of bad (experienced) characters, youth players who aren't ready and system players who need better players for them to play their game. We have no fight and it's a very short, physically weak team. It's just dysfunctionally made up. We just need to s**thouse wins and rely on individual brilliance now cause that's all this group of players is capable of. I do hope we give this guy chance. It's understandable why managers will have turned this job down. Ignoring the massive problems with Top and Rudkin; all you have to do is look on this forum to see how some people have unrealistic expectations of this squad or what a manager can do with it.
  12. Totally forgot the other one. I used to walk to the ground and run home a few miles. Once walking just past New College on Glenfield Road, I'm alone, minding my own business with my headphones in. Then out of nowhere a cop car mounts the pavement, drives over the grass with lights flashing and sirens on and cuts me off. So I stop, they run up to me, start asking me questions like, where have i been, where am I going. So I'm like, "Why've you stopped me?" And they tell me, "Yeah, we've stopped you cause you looked at us funny when you saw the police car and match a description." And I'm like, "Bro, you mounted the curb at 50mph with your lights and sirens on. How do you expect me to look at you?" To which he replied, "Yeah, good point."
  13. Once on Narborough Road a women was walking 2 dogs. Waiting at the crossing one of them jumped in to the road and was hit by a car which was going very slowly. She then dropped the lead so the dog (a greyhound) ran off. She started screaming, had a full on melt down. Then without really saying a word, forced the other dog lead onto me and just ran off. So I was just stood there on Narborough Road holding a dog lead with a confused greyhound looking at me while it's owner ran off into a street off Narborough Road. Doubt they'll ever read it, but thanks to the couple who took the dog off me so I could get to the game.
  14. Looks like he's tactically flexible and has experience of the situation we're in. I'd much rather this than someone who is a big name ex-player. I think we're finally at the point where everyone has accepted how bad this squad of players is. So they won't expect miracles from him. Could be exactly what we need.
  15. Would have liked to see Richards given a go up front. But considering 3 of our attackers are under 19 years old I can sort of understand putting Ayew there with some experience. But hope this is one of the last times we see him starting a game for us.
  16. Yeah, lets drop the lad who's 5th in the entire Championship for assists and our 2nd highest top scorer (1 goal away from being our joint top scorer). He's literately the only player in the team who can both score and get assists (in a team with strikers who rarely score). And the only other player who can score regularly is injured - and we're in a relegation battle.
  17. And now Jake Paul's on twitter back peddling quicker than the Patriots O-line - and trying to clarify 'what he really meant'. The clown lives in Puerto Rico; can't see them being all that happy with him. I only know Logan Paul cause I watch a bit of WWE. I imagine that's why Logan spoke out. Cause he's basically a WWE wrestler now and Bad Bunny has very close ties to the WWE and people who work there. Plus, from what I've seen, the Japanese forest incident when he was younger affected him - and he seems remorseful over how his actions affected other people.. Since Jake Paul got his face rearranged by AJ he needs to find a new grift I guess. But missed the mark with this one.
  18. It's this. My Dad is American and he won't enter the city he lives near. I went in to watch an NHL game on my own and was walking around the city at 11pm waiting for the last bus home. There was the odd drugged out guy and I even walked down a block unaware it was nicknamed stab alley. I didn't feel remotely worried. You come to realise all these people that are terrified of city centres are just people who are chronically online being brainwashed. They never actually step foot in the place themselves; so have no idea what reality is. Occasionally a bad thing will happen (as happens everywhere) but confirmation bias will kick in and they make a big deal of it. I do think they could spruce the place up a bit though. You go into Nottingham and it does seem nicer.
  19. Not sure how well known it is but Leicestershire and Nottingham City already share employee services (HR and payroll). Though their implementation of a new Oracle payroll system apparently didn't go well. I can understand why the city wants/needs to expand.
  20. Last time the Seahawks made the Superbowl I went to Seattle. It was like being in Leicester for the Watford game. I need revenge. It's funny how Bad Bunny isn't known in the UK at all cause he's all Spanish language. Yet for 4 of the last 6 years he's the most streamed artist on all of Spotify beating Taylor Swift. Probably the most famous artist worldwide, but barely known here. Go Hawks.
  21. If the guy is 6'2 and can head and possibly control the ball he's already better than what we have. If he has any actual pace and can do the other 2 things he goes straight into the first team. Our strikers have 3/4 goals from open play in 30 games. He isn't facing much opposition here. Even if he's crap we can chuck him on for the last 10 mins and hope for a header.
  22. His ego probably couldn't cope knowing the camera would be zooming in on him throughout the second half.
  23. One thing we really need to be realistic about is that it's very unlikely any manager is coming here till just the end of the season. I see people saying this, as if managers are just going to agree to it, or we're in a position to offer that. It's just insulting to a manager to basically say: we're desperate right now, so you'll do. But long-term we want a more fashionable name - and you're not it. Just come here and deal with this s**tshow, then off you pop.
  24. I'd really like to know the full story as to what's gone on with him. On he face of it, he's fallen out with the last 2 managers so he's the common denominator. But the last two managers have stunk the place out. He could have been kicking off and complaining about training or tactics. Could just be a mardy selfish bellend, but could be that his complaints were valid. The fact that King brought him back means it wasn't so bad that he's been totally banished.
  25. We desperately need a striker.
