It's been awful but i don't blame King. He isn't a manager (he's barely been a coach) this is exactly why he shouldn't have been put in this position. I'd have liked to see a change in formation but can understand with his experience why he hasn't. Okoli has really screwed him. I'm fed up of sacking underperforming managers and having no replacement lined up. We desperately need someone who can at least try a back 3.

Totally agree, they will have to be desperate. There was someone on here who only a couple of weeks ago said we had the best squad in the league on paper. And another one calling people idiots for allowing us to think this squad was bad cause it was all Marti's fault. Some people are genuinely delusional.

I'd have loved to see the faces of the communications staff whist he was doing these interviews. It's obvious why they never let him speak. Even taking the language barrier into account - he's genuinely thick. Embarrassingly stupid.
-
Very undeserved, but glad we won. Marti's very lucky.

Feel sorry for Monga here. He hasn't been good. But he's got Hamza giving no overlaps or support and no real movement from anyone else. If the manager is going to play Hamza there he should just play Mavadidi.
-
Someone else wrote that exact phrase on here the other day. Just clueless.
-
Saw Hamza at left back and thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt tonight playing there out of position. But bloody hell. You get even do that, it's so bad.

Didn't they sack Dan Ashworth cause he said Amorim was the wrong choice. So, now the people who sacked him are in charge of finding the replacement after he's been proved correct. I can see them going for Enzo. Wilcox and Berrada both used to work at Man City so they probably know him. Would also explain the timing.

Crazy to think they let Moyes leave. Their fans seemed to think he was below them. 3 of his last 4 season were top 10 finishes and the one that wasn't he won a European Cup. Might actually be able to play the West Ham way in the Championship I suppose.
-
So did I originally. Now you can stream it all on Netflix I went back through it. I found 6 and 7 a slog. But the last season (8) is much better - it links back to season 4. Also, it's one of the few series where the final episode ends the whole series really well. If you can remember enough might just be worth watching season 8.
-
Yes, he's frustrating and takes shots when he shouldn't. But there are only 3 players in the entire Championship who have more assists than he does this season. And he's managed that when we have strikers who can't score from open play and he's constantly doubled up on. He works quite hard defensively (for a winger) when asked and gets assists. Most of what we create comes from his side of the pitch - Mavididi has 2 goals and 0 assists in the Championship. He leads the team in assists and is the third top scorer. We will miss him if he leaves.

Stranger Things was pretty much what I expected, so wasn't too disappointed. It was better than the few episodes before it. For me Stranger Things joins a list of programs that should have been one or two seasons. Homeland, True Detective, Westworld, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica (remake), Altered Carbon, Prison Break, Squid Games, Broadchurch. They all had such fantastic first seasons. Then became so popular you can see studio execs got involved and tried to start stretching them out to make money. I recently started rewatching Homeland on Netflix and it's first season is so, so good. Every episode has twists and turns, there's no real filler. Possibly my favourite ever season of TV.

Not sure how a manager can watch that and not at least try to change something this far into the season. He see's his left back repeatedly targeted; his striker can't score; he only has one winger who has any end product and a weak as p**s midfield. So at least try something different at 3-0 down. Literally nothing to lose. Try 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. Just see what happens. I'm fed up of these one dimensional managers.
-
Does anyone think he's a great defender? He's bang average, but he's also the only defender who can play that position when we invert our right back (unless you bring back Faes). His passing is some of the worst I've ever seen. I don't know why we signed him if we wanted to play out from the back.
-
Yeah cause he used to annoy Pearson. Those interviews when we lost became quite funny/awkward listening to be honest. It did become personal, and tbh I didn't really blame Pearson for getting annoyed.
-
It's his fault. But he shouldn't be in this position. Passing is by far his biggest weakness. He shouldn't be receiving this ball in that position as a centre back. He needs his right back to be to the right of him so he's more central with more options. The system didn't help him today. But still, it's his fault.

I rarely listen to Radio Leicester anymore. But I'm sure people who do still listen like hearing the manager and players interviewed. And Radio Leicester likes access to things like pre-match press conferences. I'm not sure, but I think the only thing the club have to give them access to is match commentary. Like I say I don't really listen anymore so I'm not sure how soft on the club they are. But if they're going to burn a bridge it has to be worth it. And I imagine the BBC in general are worried about losing all match commentary. I bet all these clubs would love to force everyone to have to pay £5 a month to listen to the clubs own commentary. I'd be interested to know how the listening figures have changed over the years. I used to listen a lot back in the day. But it's so much easier to watch the club now.
-
It was weird when Cooper dropped him. Now I'm starting to wonder if he's forcing/demanding/asking the manager to play him inverted. Might work for him, but it really exposes our central defenders and they aren't good enough to deal with it. I'd rather see Aluko given a run of games.
-
It's nothing to do with impartiality. Stringer and Bourne used to be totally impartial. It's all to do with access. They can't afford to upset LCFC and have their access reduced. They banned Stringer from interviewing them when Pearson was here. Radio Leicester have even less power now. Especially with teams having their own online radio commentary. It's just not worth it for them to upset the club unnecessarily.

I felt more hopeless in the Kelly, Levin, Holloway era. Cause we just seemed to have no money at all and had players like Andy Johnson, Gareth Williams, Josh Low, Alan Rodgers stinking up the place. Pretty sure once we lined up with 6 right backs on the pitch. I still hope after we've got through this PSR minefield that we'll have money to spend again. And we have youth prospects to look forward to. Back then we only really had Stearman. But I don't think I've ever watched a team with such little fight and character as we have now.
-
Yeah, I do feel a bit sorry for him. I think he's inherited a terribly assembled squad. And even now some of our supporters still don't truly accept how bad it is. And I think they take that out on him. There is literally no fight or character in this bunch. His defence is totally lightweight and error prone, his midfield is lightweight and just gets run through, his wingers are totally inconsistent, and we don't have any strikers that can score from open play. When he drops players everyone blames him for not playing that player, but they're all s**t. He seems like a nice guy who's just out of his depth. He paid his own compensation to be here. Is one of the only people in that dressing room who wants to be here by the looks of it. But he isn't good enough. I think he was only brought here cause he was inexperienced and would do what he was told to - which is persist with players like Winks and Faes and play a style of football that's ill-suited to this set of players. So whilst I think he should go, I put much more blame on the players and the people who appointed him. If he'd had chance to bring his own players in I'd be much more negative.
-
Apparently, stats say he's a good shot stopper. I'd love to know the stats for how good our defence is (if there even are stats to measure that). Cause whilst he's making individual errors atm, he plays behind one of the most lightweight, error prone, worst defences in the league. It makes it sort of hard to properly judge him. If his backline was more solid he'd look better. With the goal he made his big error on today the cross should never have come in - there were 3/4 players just letting the guy cross it. People say put Begovic in, but he shipped 3 in the first half against Sheff Utd. I'd hate to be a keeper in this team.
-
Which players would you take back to the Premier League?
Guesty replied to Larry_LCFC's topic in Leicester City Forum
None of them tbh. I don't think any of those listed should be in a Premiership starting 11. The only one's at the minute who look like they have any sort of chance in playing half decent in the Premiership are Fatawu and James. Maybe Skipp as a last resort. -
He's not good enough, but I still feel sorry for him. We concede so many goals due to individual braindead errors and we don't have a striker that can score goals. We are a badly built squad. But if he isn't going to play a more solid defensive system then that's on him.
-
We are just so f**kin soft. They all just stand there and watch him cross and the keeper has to come out stronger.
