I’ve seen we’ve taken a third of what you have with the new ball. -

Hopefully will get a decent total tomorrow and see if they’ve got the balls to go for it -
Annoying when they do the line up like that

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
Lcfc-1992 replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
Im after some advice on an injury, it’s the top of my calf and behind my knee. I’ve never had any issues with this before. I ran a half marathon 12 days ago which was the furthest I’d ran and probably sooner than I should have. Then instead of taking some time off I did a slow 5k two days later and tried for a quick 10k two days after that. I slowed towards the end because of the pain. The injury seems to be from doing too much in a short period of time. I tried to run again a few days after but gave up pretty quickly and did some light leg exercises. I’ve had 4 days off since, then did a 3k tonight which wasn’t great. The calf pain was on and off then after the pain behind the knee was back. I don’t feel the pain when walking just when I start to run. I haven’t done strength training before and was planning on starting it after my half marathon. I’ve been wearing ice packs, using foam roller, massage gun, stretching, taking ibuprofen. Do I just need to rest for longer? -

First time running a half marathon this morning, 15k was the furthest I’d ran previously. Felt comfortable until the last 3k. Did it in 2 hours 5 minutes. -

That’s a decent pace. You could try running at the pace you want for 10k but shorter distances. 3k in 15 minutes and try build it up. I never thought I’d be able to get below 25 minutes for a 5k and I’ve recently got it down to 22 minutes, keep at it and it’ll drop -
It’s just hit me again seeing the video that was shown in the ground. Can’t believe he’s gone

Glad I ditched the season ticket

New 5k pb, 22:01. Pretending like that one second doesn’t annoy me somehow managed to take over 2 minutes off my previous fastest. -

Just entered the Leicester half, never done an event before gonna do a couple of park runs then maybe a 10k somewhere before. Ran a 15k in hour and half at the weekend so should be pretty comfortable by the time it comes around. -
