Absolutely spot on…. He comes to life when the details are revealed, then his expert knowledge helps explain why things have happened. If he could 100% for-see what was going to happen based on the limited information he has, the bloke would be retired a millionaire sipping cocktails on a beach somewhere….. clubs would be paying millions for him to help them avoid PSR. Being an expert on a field doesn’t give you the ability to read the future 😂

De Marco won’t be loose lipped though about clubs finances, especially ones he is defending. That would be incredibly bad for business, and would raise major integrity issues.

Not necessarily true. Maguire uses the phrases “should”, “could”, “might”, “Potentially”…… this is all based on what he thinks “might” stand a chance of happening. He doesn’t know for certain, and he hasn’t actually comment and said “Leicester are going to breach” it’s because he doesn’t want to look silly if we don’t. He doesn’t have access to our accounts so most of what he says is based on theory and predictions.

I imagine it’s wages, our wages are still hideous aren’t they? I bet we’re still top 12 at least in wage bills. If this is the major issue then what we need is to essentially get rid of everyone, clean the decks and start again. We’re not getting any money for the players because they’re all bad investments, on massive contracts with massive wages…… we’ve got the likes of Danny Ward slumming around Seagrave and I bet he is getting paid more than Forests number 1…… and he isn’t even Third choice.

It’s an easy headline to write, especially concerning us and Everton, because it’s happened before so they can just lazily suggest we’re both at risk again. Like you say, people like Maguire are suggesting we might be at risk…. But I distinctly remember him going on the BSLB podcast a few seasons back and he said we would be “okay” and we wouldn’t go down, and suggested we were a better run club than we thought. So like a lot of what he says is still based on theory, he just has a better understanding than most of the subject, but it doesn’t mean he knows exactly what’s going on with us.

They’re not light years. They’ve a manager who’s using his squad properly. As we did in when we won the PL. it makes a mockery of what teams obsess over being modern football. All this ****ing about trying to play perfect football. I’d much prefer we played like this.

The most impressive thing about Forest, is they don’t **** about. They clear their lines, they get the ball wide quickly and take their chances. Just like we did when we won the league.

What Forest do is simple, but they’re bloody good at it.

If they avoid breaches, and make some good signings in January…. They genuinely have a chance of winning the thing.

It doesn’t, but he is likely to get sympathy if it turns out that we have breached and get deducted points. He can just give the club the birdies and **** off. Easy interview afterwards, can just say he was lied to by the clubs board.
