We need to protect the defence better than we are doing. Im surprised a back three hasn’t been adopted yet, properly, set up meaningfully and a proper system worked on. We’ve got to compensate for the weakness, and our biggest problem is disrupting our opponents midfield. We’re too open in the middle of the park and it just kills us, teams can get on the ball and create too many chances and we’ve got to look to stem that. V Forest, in that first half we actually did that really well I thought, but then we fell apart in the second half with defensive errors. Provided Faes gets nowhere near that starting 11, I want to see a back three deployed, and we use the full backs as width. Pack out the centre of the pitch and play in the transition a bit more. We’ve got the players to do it.

He’s done okay with Denmark, forward thinking coach, but other than Scandinavia his club stints haven’t been particularly great. His ideology is similar to Brussel martins, but his sides typically play with a much higher press…. Would be a risk. I think Southampton are gone, it entirely depends on what Wolves new manager can do, but I’m not getting good vibes, seems like a really odd move. I’d say Ipswich are the most likely to come out of the bottom three, just because their never say die attitude will eventually come good. Unless Ruud can sort out the away form, we will have to solely rely on home games, and that won’t be enough. Hopefully Newcastle acts as a bit of an example that we will need to try something a bit different away from home.

I think we need to go to a back three and use them as wing backs. Removes some of the pressure in term’s defending and we can use them to get forward. We’ve got to pack out the middle of the pitch, because we’re not disrupting the opponents passing lanes enough and it’s why we are getting cut to ribbons at times, and conceding a lot of chances IMO.
