Thought he looked lightweight and ineffective. He’s a budget Perez, he looks a bit meh. Runs around alot without really achieving anything. He may be a bit better with a proper number 9 in the team, but you’d think Chaplin will be the first choice to play any kind of 10 or free role.

It’s okay laughing, but when you actually watch the game today, there was little to be encouraged by….. our possession and passing was without any conviction, we didn’t really take control of the game, we just passed it around for the sake of it against a largely submissive opponent. There’s a hell of a lot to improve on before next weekend, I just don’t trust this lot to get it right.

It’s hard to see how we will improve enough by next weekend. The major red flags are, we give up easy chances, we look far too lightweight, completely toothless in attack and we leave ourselves dreadfully open at the back. Once teams realise this, we will be found out very quickly and very easily, we saw with our own eyes, how easily we picked apart Martins Southampton, Norhants barely tried today, but come next Saturday Notts County won’t offer the same kind of placid performance they did. They will be aggressive, front footed and get into us, from what I saw today, we simply won’t cope with that. It is all well and good saying we need time, it’s a new style etc etc, they’re just excuses. We don’t have time, and we certainly don’t have time for patience, we hit the ground running, or we’re in trouble.

Time and patience we can’t afford. We’re in sudden death territory. We must get promoted for the future of his club, it’s as simple as that. And he will not deliver it.
