Meh, the football at times was okay, but the overall World Cup experience was pretty crap. It will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, and the fact they pretty much tailored it to the Americans, who by the looks of it, generally didn’t care.

The ability is there, in my opinion Tuchel got it completely wrong on the night V Argentina. There were some mixed performances throughout but you get that at international tournaments.

I don’t think Ipswich is a good move for him. He would have been better going abroad.

It’s Burton Albion…..

This is the best we’ve looked during pre season for some time. We’re miles ahead of Burton, and that’s without any signings. I was impressed today, that’s the first bit of football I’ve probably enjoyed for about three years.

What you would expect from him, just keeps the ball moving, comfortable in possession, and picks nice passes. Only criticism is he is light weight, he is well capable of doing the winks role, without the Aperol.

He’s not consistent first team ready, but he does seem to have a habit of popping up in the right place. But we desperately need a proper striker

Why was Aluko not used last season? Hes the one academy lad I’ve consistently been impressed with….. yet he never got game time…. He’s better than Chilwell was at this stage of his career.

Otchere is looking pretty good….. I want to see Lorenz, I’m expecting big things from him.

So far it’s all been very neat and tidy, some passages of nice play. But we’re desperate for a clinical CF and two decent wide players. Most of what I’m seeing is nice, total control with little penetration though.

Alves is playing with a point to prove. Good to see, he’s such a neat and tidy footballer. Could he our KDH for this season….

My expectation is an entire season unbeaten and the points record. Anything less is a failure. Even if we finish with less point than Birmingham did but go up. I won’t even celebrate any goals, or wins. For me, this is no different to going to work, doing a job and coming home.

Speaking to my mate today, who’s spent a few days at Leicester sorting moves out and what not. He said the atmosphere is 100% better, he said Russell has already lifted to mood, taken time to engage will all members of staff, and has time for anyone, he even had a chat with my mate, about his philosophy and the way he wants to approach things. He said there’s a determination about the bloke, not star struck like Cooper, but like a man with a point to prove. All the lads like him apparently and so far are buying into his ways. Im going to go to Burton, just to see how things are progressing, but he certainly gave a glowing report……

I don’t think it is. It’s on the manager to react to this and make the correct changes, which he didn’t do. At 1-0 up, with 20 or so to play, to have Kane isolated upfront with no outlets is criminal.
