Why is this still open?

My thoughts exactly.

Stoped drinking….. On a serious note, I’m positive in terms of we have a squad of young academy players, I’m exited to see what they can do…. But when you sit back and analyse the situation, it’s not great… it’s clear we’re not spending anything on players, frees and loans is about all we will do, which is fine… but we haven’t got a senior striker registered at the club. To get out of this league you need at least 20 goals from one player, and then others chipping in…. It’s just where are those goals coming from? It just think that this board are putting everything on Martin and just hoping he can produce a miracle…… I could be wrong, but competitive league football is unforgiving, and with such a young inexperienced squad, it could come back to bite us.

This is my concern it’s one thing playing well in a friendly, but a competitive league is something else. People are falling into a false sense of confidence, we’ve an academy squad, and no senior striker at the club….. few people will be in for a nasty shock on the opening day. I still maintain in this current condition we’re going down .

Yes… everyone has considered that…. But now is also unacceptably bad…. And it will only get worse…….

Theres no smoke without fire… This hasn’t happened overnight, something was cracking off in the PL season, what you’ll probably find is in that season KP made the initial decision to approach the Citigroup around potential interested parties, and now we’re hearing it in the news because there is interest and conversations have been had. For me, the signs are there, we’re currently asset stripping the squad, it’s been reported that Top has allegedly injected a some of money into the club, to relieve and debts…. We aren’t spending any money at all on transfers, we won’t be paying any fees for anyone, because it now appears King Power are actively looking to sell the club. How quickly and at what stage it is at remains to be seen, but I think it’s clear this is the end of King Power’s time here.

I think it’s more long term portfolio’s for some consortiums. We’re unique, in that we’ve had success in modern football which is rare for clubs of our size, so that’s going to be a big pull for potential owners, to have that as a poster for their brand. I get the impression, generally consortiums from the Middle East do like long term projects, and if one can see a achievable rebuild it could work wonders for both club and consortium… we’ve got a larger than normal world wide footprint thanks to our recent success, and this I think will help. All I want is a board room that value the fans and have the drive to rebuild the club properly with longevity in mind. We’re a good rebuild story, and that’s probably the one thing I hope attracts decent buyers.

Doing some very, very basic research (sitting in my pants searching for Middle Eastern firms)…… The firm that stands out to me are International holding company https://www.ihcuae.com Closely linked to them is the “royal group” Who are chaired by https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tahnoun_bin_Zayed_Al_Nahyan_(national_security_advisor) Their principle ownership is the Abu Dhabi royal family, the only sticking point is they’re worth £300 billion….. which would make us the wealthiest club in the world….. which makes this highly unlikely and a pipe dream.

The league one rules appear restrictive but they’re not really. They’re ambiguous at best both Wrexham and Birmingham exploited them fairly easily… they’ve made subtle changes but they’re not that different…. Owners can still pump money into the club, and turn it into equity, but it’s all relative to how much is invested into the club to offset the revenue / wage bill split. You don’t need to necessarily flood the club with money anyway. But for a rich owner it’s very easy to essentially buy your way out of the leagues which is what Birmingham did, and Wrexham have for some time.

I’m well aware of the financial rules and regs in leagues 1 & 2….. But they’re there to be exploited, as owners are able to pump money into the club and turn it into equity. Which both Wrexham and Birmingham have done. They’ve tightened the rules somewhat, but they’re still there to be exploited. League 1 and 2 aren’t designed for teams like us, so the financial rules are developed for teams with far more modest financial situations. So, if Top isn’t putting money into the club, is it because he doesn’t want to, or can’t afford to? We could get away with a lot here, if ever there was a time to be brave with money it’s now, but thanks to our careless owner, we’re probably in a situation where we can’t spend anything.

It is, considering we’re a league one club, and he’s probably only had one good season with us, plus a nasty injury…. I wasn’t expecting £20m.

I don’t think we will spend anything. I think we will plug the £70m black hole with transfer money, and just operate in the loan and free transfer market. Top has no intention of investing any money into the club…… it’s very much all on Martin, as they always try to do, hire an “exceptional” manager, to basically get more out of the squad. I genuinely think the board will think our academy alone will be capable of getting out of the league….

I’m glad, I think he’s a bellend, he is just a snide bellend, gets away with things by being subtle. They never should have got to the last final, they were shit then….
