I’m not impressed with Argentina, they will also probably play in a similar way to Mexico, leaving the door open for England to hurt them. I too think England will beat them with some degree of comfort. I think they’ve gradually gotten less convincing throughout the competition too.

Does Milan Baros fall into that category? Was always good at international tournaments but never really hit the heights at club level.

We have handled him appallingly….. as @Ric Flair said he was solid for most of the games he played after his initial wobble in the Huddersfield game, and even then it was one half we was unsteady. His form dipped when the rest of the teams dipped. Essentially when Rowett pretty much chucked the towel in. He could have been the players to build the team around, and it’s a shame he doesn’t even want to stay here. Another talented player going.

I consider myself more Irish than I do English, more of my direct family are Irish, and only a portion half. I always followed both as a kid, but I followed England more intently because all of my mates followed England and I wanted to follow England as well as Ireland, plus Ireland are shite so that probably had something to do with it too….. but the older I got the closer to my Irish sides got through travelling to see my cousins over in Kilmovee…. Since then I’ve certainly become more distant from my English heritage and closer to my Irish. But after all the piss taking over the last few weeks, I did actually enjoy watching the Mexico game, and thought England were undeniable very good….. and despite my recent distain for England, (which is probably stronger in the egg chasing sport, and towards the monarchy) I actually felt quite pleased England won, because their performance warranted it…. Ill carry on taking he piss out of my mates if they go on to lose, because I’m a cůnt, and that I won’t deny.

Because he probably will be the number 1 striker….. and we’re probably playing him a lot of money to be here….. I mean, we’ve managed to completely **** up a near impossible situation, so chances are this isn’t a calculated signing…

There’s not enough unity or clarity from top the bottom for this to be a success. He’s being set up for failure in my opinion. It will just be another humiliating era for our beloved club that was once Leicester city.

I think it’s becoming apparent now with the farce with Man City, allowing Chelsea to sell bits of their stadium and women’s football teams to themselves, and how Man United seemingly lose millions ever year and get nowhere…. That the EPL and the EFL are only bothered about pursuing the teams they can realistically punish. They won’t touch the “big boys” we will all be asking in about 10 years time what happened to Man City’s case…. Not suggesting there’s leeway for our useless tosspots of a board room, but in the bigger picture the “top” clubs aren’t getting touched.
