The only thing that I’m a bit pissed about is the fact he said that he was here for a long term project……..
-
Best outcome for all parties in my opinion. Was great last season, but there were concerning signs regarding his tactical flexibility. What we needed last season, not necessarily what we need this. Good luck (he will need it) to him and thank you for getting us up.

It’s more fun just opening multiple threads.

Bexcellent.

The three B’s are all in bother I think. Those two including Brentford. I just hope and pray one of them is Forest. I honestly wasn’t that bothered about them until I worked with a few of their fans. It’s actually gobsmacking how arrogant they are, considering they’ve been absent from the EPL, for about 20 ****ing years, and have only hung onto their status like a ****ing dingleberry, caught in a web of arse hair.

You’re not allowed to say such things! I got told off good and proper for saying similar…..
-
Brighton might flirt with relegation next season. As mad as that sounds.
-
And that’s the bottom line.
-
Thing is you can’t criticise him really. He did well at both Swansea and Forest, and was Forest really a blot on his copy book? He was basically given 40 off players to work with, none of which he wanted and somehow kept Forest up “despite them being shite” and Nuno has arguably done no better. I guess it’s just not remotely sexy, but then again, is it even sensible? There’s question marks over him, but when isn’t there question marks over any manager? I think he’d turn out better than a lot of people think.

Did you pay any attention at all last season? He approached every single game the same way? He constantly used the inverted fullback, he only trusted a hand full of players and he rarely changed anything at all. Prior to the players meeting we were absolutely horrid, the football was garbage, there was no confidence and no leadership. After that conversation we picked up, we weee on occasions a bit more direct too, following Southampton Enzo said that he wasn’t happy, because we didn’t dominate possession. Bristol, Millwall and Plymouth were carbon copies of one another, we approached every game the same way, and lost. Enzo has said it himself, he has a set philosophy and that’s it, he is far too stubborn, and far too inexperienced to have lead us into next season. I amazed you didn’t see this, it’s literally all we’ve been moaning about on this forum for months was the complete lack of tactical flexibility.
-
I hear you, it’s one of the reasons in a strange way this move is good for the club. Enzo would have more than likely have taken us down, because his unwavering desire to play in his way. We do need someone with the flexibility and someone who will set up teams to play the opposition. It’s good to have a philosophy, because it means the manager wants to develop a clear identity, and that will stand you in good stead for survival, because everyone will know what they’re doing…… Take Forest as an example, there’s no identity at that club, and sooner rather than later it’s going to catastrophically collapse for them, but they’re really operating at an unsustainable level. What we need is a manager who has a philosophy, but is intelligent enough to be able to have different systems for different occasions, and someone who can operate under restrictions.
-
He was a phenomenal player. Other than Dennis Bergkamp, Ruud’s performance V us under Adams was stunning, every finish was pretty much three touches.
-
That kind of mentality is gone. There’s a reason why elite clubs don’t appoint managers cut from the same cloth as Warnock. What you need is for the players to be inspired, which they weee under Enzo, and he’s not remotely like Warnock. I want a manager who can inspire the players through their philosophy, not through fear.
-
I’m sure it’s to do with the backroom staff, and negotiating a fair price for them.
-
Yes….. it most definitely is in my opinion.

I agree with you on terms of the squad. I think our squad is better than forests, Bournemouth’s, Brentford’s at the very least! And with some clever additions it will only get stronger. However, what we need is a manager who can maximise the potential within the squad. Sometimes the idea of a “sensible appointment” isn’t always the right one, we need a sound appointment, someone who will go about their business regardless of the potential issues off the field. Someone like CC has proved he can do that, he took Huddersfield to the playoffs and WBA, the latter without spending a dime, which is impressive. Can this be translated to the EPL? It’s a gamble of course, but he’s proven he can work under restrictions and get some success so he clearly has something about him. Managers like RVN are more of a gamble I’d say, even though they’ve worked at arguably a higher level, they’ve less experience than CC working under pressure. I think despite the mess we appear to be in, the club will make a good decision, they’ve rarely got the managerial appointments wrong, I’d argue Puel, Rodgers and Maresca were all hired at the right time for the right reason…. Only Smith was the odd one out because they gambled on a potential ‘Villa’ like escape….. that might have worked if it wasn’t for the mess he inherited. Lucrative sponsorship deals and the sale of fringe players should give us more wiggle room than people think in the market. Let’s not forget that the decade we’ve had would have most definitely generated some good contacts within the game…… so providing we get the appointment right, even with a deduction I still think we will be fairly comfortable next season, whilst flirting with the bottom three. The next appointment needs to be what the club needs, over what we want.
-
We’re not appointing Jose ****ing Mourinho. Come on…….
-
It will be the backroom staff that will stall it. We cant let them pay £10m to strip our entire backroom staff. So I imagine Susan will be tightening the vice to ensure we get maximum £££. I’m sure all is which will aid FFP. People think the FFP and PRS issues will weaken us, they won’t, they will probably make us more ruthless with deals, especially outgoing!
-
The stall is likely down to Chelsea trying to low ball us. Susan we know drives a hard bargain, so we won’t budge until they pay what we want.
-
We really are free fallin.
-
What’s Ruud like as a manager. I’m ashamed to say that I haven’t paid much attention to his managerial career.
-
Nuno did.
-
If Moyes is an unattainable target, we may as well just sack everything off and fold.
-
You’re right. And remember, Everton and Forest both stayed up…… as I’ve said it’s not the end of the world, especially if it doesn’t come until the winter.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Pliskin replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thin air. Let’s not forget the article was published by Percy, who I believe now has a degree of the “****ems” about him, because I understand something happened between him and the club and his source within the club, that was cut and since then he’s been a bit of a twat about us, plus he’s a Forest fan I think. The media just blow everything out of proportion, especially when it comes to us.
