Isn’t that Gillette?

Romano’s intel is a bit like my grandma, who looks out the window when it’s raining, and announces it’s raining, when everyone can see it’s raining.

Scenes when Chelsea approach us for him after they’ve sacked Maresca.

When you say behind the scenes, I’m picturing a short, rotund dinner lady with slightly red cheeks banging a saucepan to tell the lads whilst they’re eating their coco pops.

Potter’s odds are now at 9 3/4!!!!!

What is a “none serious candidate” Krusty the Clown?
-
Sitting waiting to see if Potter potentially gets the England job or not? Are we mental?
-
This lad could be an option. He is a bit older at 25, but he’s quality. I’d say a cheaper version of Sensi, with added mobility and energy.
-
He’s off to Roma. Plus he would cost a mint.

I agree. Top seems hell bent on wanting to play like Man City. But this side has the ability to be a quality counter attacking team.
-
Apparently Chelsea have enquired about our next manager’s availability.

The board assured Enzo he had funds to spend, so clearly we are planning on spending money. And if it is going to be Potter, there’s no way he would consider us unless the board told him we could spend money.

I suppose the biggest draw for Cooper is his view on academy players. I’d say it is highly likely we would see a lot of Alves, Braybrook and Nelson, and potentially more of the academy. My issue is, it’s one thing blooding them, another coaching them to improve….. is this something Cooper will be able to do? I still don’t think Potter is a genuine to be fair, but he would set us up similar to Rodgers, so we’re likely to be fairly safe, but probably a bit dull too. Prior to him leaving Brighton however, they were probably as good as they’ve ever been in the PL….. Corberan is still my preferred choice, I think the job he’s done at WBA and Huddersfield before that was very impressive, considering he’s had no cash to spend. However, I was having a conversation with someone who has close links to the club, and they think the board are willing to spend money this window…..allegedly Enzo was given assurances he was going to get money to spend and the plans for the summer had already be written up, the Chelsea move came out of the blue it seems, and he saw it as too good an opportunity to pass up on.

Have you read this forum…..

Hold on…. So some of you would take Cooper over Potter? Some of you are ****ing mental 😂
-
You’re not wrong at all. Perhaps it will be a case of easing them in, Nelson probably not so much. But during the pre season I’d like to see them get a lot of minutes, that’s the best time to give them a good run out!

I think it’s bollocks. Bit of paper talk because they know he’s likely to go this summer.

10am SkySp PL Retro Leicester v Man Utd 2014
Pliskin replied to Nick's topic in Leicester City Forum
It’s on the sky catchup section all of the time, as is the West Ham game. -
But they still didn’t have to be shipped out on loan. The fear is there’s a lot of unknown about academy players. The facts are, we’re probably going to have to rely on them. And I’m not concerned one bit…. I think Nelson, Alves and Braybrook are all good enough to play in our squad regularly. I rate all three more than McAteer and he’s done alright.

Re lack of minutes, does it really matter? Kobbie Mainoo had no prior experience before becoming a regular…. Cole Palmer had no prior experience prior to becoming a regular. Phil Foden had no prior experience before becoming a regular. There’s plenty more examples. If players have the ability, they will soon adapt to the pace and nature of the pro game. As some have said, the fearlessness of young players can often help them adapt sooner. There’s no harm in trying, I think one of our biggest problems has been waiting too long, Brendan used to wait far to long before throwing players in, bar Thomas….. Given our current situation, imagine if Nelson, Alves and Braybrook all took off next season? It is a risk worth taking in my opinion, we’ve built this training ground to facilitate the production of youth players, we can’t be afraid to use it.
