Ralf is at the high end of realistic options for us at this point. He's a solid, competent if unspectacular tactician and a good man-manager. No one guarantees safety from where we are but he's as likely to keep us up as anyone we might possibly hire, and not someone you'd mind sticking around next season.

I would absolutely love that.

Apropos of nothing, Chelsea is the most irritating side in the PL. No end of punchable faces - starting with Rosenior. And they bitch and whine literally every call and non-call, non-stop for 90 minutes plus added time.
-
De Zerbi out at Marseilles! And it’s no less realistic than Enzo…

Most of the speculation on twitter saying it's Martin, but I don't think it's insider knowledge.

We should be so lucky.

Not out of the question that Dyche is about to be sacked at Forest either, so he could join the Leicester rumor mill for the 19th time.
-
It's not just the goals (though he has plenty this season). DCL is a proper old-school #9 - hold-up play tremendous, harries CBs from the opening whistle, defends set pieces in his own box. He was an England striker for a reason. Justin... He's looking like he did for us before the first big injury. RB, LB, CB - he's doing a job wherever Leeds plays him.

8 pages on this utter absurdity.

The timing of the Watford resignation is certainly interesting. But why would he want to leave there and come here? I don't think Gracia is especially good at this, but he's broadly adequate and seems to be a decent man manager. As a temporary hire you could certainly do worse.

I thought the thread title was "Realistic Managerial Replacements".
-
He's adequate at Championship level. Not a bad signing just to help ensure relegation doesn't come into play.

Turdifootball would never take the gig with the ownership and backroom situation in the state it's in.

It really is all about decisions. Leeds brought in two strikers who have 15 PL goals for them - both on a free. And their head of recruitment (Adam Underwood) is nothing to write home about. You mean to tell me we couldn't find a competent striker who could find the net a few times at Championship level, even skint as we are? -

Played CB yesterday (though in a 3, which is easier for a fullback) and looked excellent again. Set pieces were absolute dross though. -
Farke is making monkeys out of a lot of yobs who couldn't understand how Norwich hung him out to dry. 1 loss in 9 and they were ahead at full-time in that.
-
I mean, he is rated 20 million Euros on Transfermarkt. They definitely didn't want to sell him at the price they did - he had to basically force his way out.
-
A lot of average Championship clubs would love to have a striker with 63 goal contributions in 121 matches.
-
What a bizarre move by a bizarre club for Chelsea to hijack that move in the summer. And for Buonanotte to accept - did he not understand exactly what would happen? He has a real opportunity at Leeds. They're going well but in desperate need of a creative #10/RW type to guarantee safety.

Did fine as a sub, did well enough when Bogle - who's been a talisman for them - get dinged up that there are calls for him to keep the RB position. -
This is why this game is so special. You don't see giant killings like this in any other sport.

Defending champs lobbing hopeful crosses into the box against a non-league side. Pretty sad.

If you're not a reactionary blowhard, it's pretty much normal. A long-suffering fanbase for a club which has gotten screwed by rotten ownership and bad luck over and over. Why not be happy for them for having some good fortune? The notion that they've somehow bought all this success is laughable on the face of it. Does the money help? Obviously. But they've been outspent by some other clubs at every level and still managed to keep progressing. That's not down to money, it's down to very shrewd boardroom decisions and talent acquisition (and Parkinson gets his share of the credit too). Even when the haters smugly predicted the Championship would eat them for lunch they're right there in the playoff mix. There's a reflexing hate on anything with an American connection to it around here, never mind Hollywood. I wonder how many would be bitching if we had Wrexham's ownership and management instead of the ones we've got now.

What Sunderland and RLB are doing is pretty remarkable, though they did spend the most a newly promoted side has in a long time (ever?). Farke showing what he can do in the Premier League with middling club support and a borderline PL-quality squad.

Football Insider @footyinsider247 · 10m Brighton have produced one of the strangest stats you will ever see… 80 wins, 80 draws, 80 losses from their last 240 games. Is this the most symmetrical club in Premier League history?
