Too much money at stake for Leeds, they could finish anywhere from 10th-15th. With the rules designed to screw newly promoted sides they'll be chasing every penny they can get for transfer spending. Besides, they'd run through a brick wall for Farke at the moment.

Undefeated in 8 PL matches, 4 losses in 24. Farke deserves serious MotY consideration.

The PGA tends to be played on more traditional PGA tour courses - "target golf" locales. Euros do better at Augusta and the US Open rota courses, as a rule. Rai is a pretty good player - 3 worldwide wins - but Aronimink didn't cover itself in glory. Ross is obviously one of the greatest course designers in history but without really punitive rough the PGA tried to gimmick the course up to avoid it being blitzed. When you see a bunched up leaderboard with so many no-names (including Rai, all due respect to him) and so many guys who weren't hitting the ball well in contention, you know the course is not up to the highest standards for a major.

Nice to see Padraig Harrington put together a great three days. He won't win but if conditions are tough he might sneak into the top 10.

Chelsea and Everton are both on shlt form at the moment. Of course Chelsea loves nothing more than screwing over Spurs, as we know. As much as I'd love to see it, I think Spurs stay up. WHU has Leeds on the final day and they haven't lost a league game since the beginning of March.

This conspiracy stuff is - as usual - hilariously far-fetched. Even assuming the PL is out to deny Man City the title (which is absurd on the face of it), the foul on Raya was clear and obvious. It did take VAR too long but not because the Raya infraction wasn't obvious - it was the number of other fouls being committed at the same time. I'd rather they take an extra 60-90 seconds or whatever and get it right than rush to try and meet some arbitrary time limit and get it wrong. I'm no Gunners fan by any stretch but sadly, that was the right decision.

Yeah, injuries derailed an incredibly promising career but he was a complete class act in terms of the way he carried himself and attitude towards the club and fans. All the best to him.

Yes and no. All three scorers vs. Burnley were summer signings. It's a mix of old and new, but the point is ownership gave him at least nominal support and a fighting chance, which Norwich never did. Not as much support as Sunderland (Leeds would argue because of PSR) but enough.

Leeds hasn't really looked like going down for a long time. They've only lost four times in twenty league games, which is a pretty phenomenal run of form for a promoted side even with a lot of draws. So two of the three promoted sides stay up this time. That's a positive - the boomerang phenomenon is bad for the sport.

Man, Hull has really gone in the tank. If Wrexham can somehow get anything out of that Coventry match they're in good shape.
-
Who would you have chosen? It's not like they're flooded with good options. Tiger was Plan A and while that likely would have been a disaster, he obviously jacked it anyway. Phil's obviously out. A non-major winner like Matt Kuchar maybe - except Kuchar is reportedly widely disliked by his peers. This is a major challenge for the US side. There's very little sense of camaraderie among American players and most of them are not especially well-liked by each other.

There's not a manager in the world, Pep included, who could have come anywhere close to survival with those two Norwich teams.

Justin scores an absolute cracker on a bicycle kick, wow.
-
It didn't matter what he did when he was at Norwich, and he knew it. Ownership made no attempt to build a PL squad so if he was going to go down anyway, Farke figured he might as well do it his way. With Leeds he knew he had enough to have a chance, and it was switching formations (at halftime of the Man City match) that really turned their season around.

The rule is extremely clear-cut. He knew what he was doing and Tierney (who overall had a good night) did the right thing. A violent example of the offense? No - but that doesn't really matter. I never would have believed it but I think Spurs are in serious trouble, even with De Zerbi there. They're an absolute mess - a collection of odd socks and riddled with key injuries.

Back in training. Available? Who knows. If he is he 100% should be starting. -
In training from last week, so presumably he's not far off.
-
Vestergaard, Souttar, and Lascelles should all be available after the international break. Will be interesting to see what Rowett does - IMO the starters should be two from that trio.

JJ remains a frustrating player - stuff like that needless corner he gave up in stoppage time yesterday are all too common still. And he doesn't offer them much going forward. But he's been steady, reliable, and equally competent all across the back line. Certainly a class above anyone we started in our back four this weekend. -
Leeds-West Ham is an interesting one. At least one non-big 6 side in the semis, but if those two clubs are locked in a battle for survival with a few league games left how cagey are they going to be in an FA cup tie, even with Wembley on the line?
-
Hope for a Southampton-Port Vale draw, would be great to see one of them at Wembley.
-
Port Vale, doomed to relegation from League 1, into the quarters. What a strange game this is.

Don't forget the laughably obvious Chelsea handball in the box that VAR naturally ruled was fine.
