And they won.

Yeah no-one is surprised, we've all said it will happen, it's the way football is going, actually the way sport in general is going. The money is in American and Saudi, so more and more high profile games will be played there. Plus those countries also want to push for their own agenda's which at least as far as the US is more involvement in how football is run, which competitions are held where and which teams can compete. I said the stepping stone would be the the expanded world club championships, and it seems i was correct, the US has been the driving force with the added benefit of US teams being involved which is what they ultimately want. The next generation will grow up with this being the norm and their local team playing regularly in other countries.

Wonder what they thought about people losing their minds over here because a few everton and liverpool players got their handbags out.

It's quite odd the diffference in the interpretation of what 'support' means. What I've noticed outside of england is when fans talk about 'support' it's about atmosphere and the levels of noise, in england it's often about numbers of fans who went. Even when it comes to away fans you'll see a picture of a packed away end and most of the comments will talk about numbers, rarely the noise those fans made. To me 200 noisey fans is support, 2000 fans sitting in silence is not.

All true, but that's what english football culture is now. Save your money and either go to games north of the border, or europe, it's so much more fun. Of course it won't be 'your club' you're watching, so the connection won't be there.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
purpleronnie replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not sure any manager can suddenly make this team full of goals. -
well last time 2005-2014 we still averaged around 23,000 including falling to the third tier, pretty good crowds IMO. I very much doubt we'd go lower than that. But I wouldnt care as long as tickets were reasonably priced, the glory hunters fecked off, and there was a return to a half decent atmosphere, and fans felt connected to the club.

LCFC 0-2 Arsenal | Post-match thread
purpleronnie replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not sure what we can do, there's no goals in this squad. -
Maybe if we draw 0-0 in every game we can still stay up.

Its amazing we have as many fans as we do when they're treated like this, just wouldn't be accepted anyone else in the world, stadiums would be empty.
