Most of his key players (Maddison, Tielemans, Ricardo in particular) were brought in under Puel, and he still had key members of the title-winning squad too (Vardy, Big Wes, Schmeichel, Fuchs were all around until the FA Cup win). He had early success in his first two seasons, then the moment his chosen personnel became regulars the rot set in. Fofana's about the only one I can give him credit for, and that's more for the mad money we sold him to Chelsea for rather than because he was really that great or improved us that much. Said the other day on here that given how turgid things are, we honestly wouldn't have been any worse off to just suck it up and have given Ruud the Summer window and see where we were at Christmas.
