  1. Surprised nobody has popped up to laugh at Cov yet
  2. Purposely skipped watching today's game as I expected him to not give Evans any minutes, and yet I'm still pissed off that the inevitable has happened. Getting updates on here and yelled "f**k off" in the aisles of Tesco when I saw the subs. Man's a f**king coward. Bringing Ayew on when 2-0 up against League Two opposition is inexcusable when we've got such a garbage pair of senior strikers and a youth prospect who Marti seems to have personally duck-taped to the bench. I'd be needling my agent to get me the f**k out of this club this month if I was Jake. I look forward to him scoring against us in League One two years from now.
  3. GO AWAY MARTI
  4. As long as it puts him in the shop window I guess. Teams across Europe will be creaming their pants at the thought of buying a player in such hot form after goals against Cheltenham and Mali. This should still be Jake Evans' game though. Sick of the sight of Patson.
  5. 'If the club says it's 27k then it's 27k, people just have an agenda against Top, we were in League One once'
  6. something something ULEZ something something complete
  7. That's the problem though, we don't have that and haven't since the day it opened. We're bone idle when it comes to our talent pathways and have been for years now - who was the last youth prospect to have a loan that actually led to them breaking through and becoming a hot prospect? I guess you could say Nelson is showing signs this year after his Oxford loan, but it took 4 months of him rotting in the reserves for him to be trusted and it's unclear what his ceiling actually is so far. Beyond that you have to go back as far as KDH and Barnes, both of whom were developed at Belvoir Drive. It's nice that we have players coming through for our own squad, but from a hard-nosed financial point of view Seagrave has been a disaster and is not paying for itself - the only one I can think of has been McAteer and even with Ipswich paying what we knew was daft money, a one-off £9 million sale is hardly justifying a setup that probably costs more than twice that to run in a season. The rest of our 'prospects' are sold for chicken feed to lower and non-league clubs or rot in and around the matchday squad until they're no longer likely to push on. There's a possibility Monga could be that next player to be sold for good money, but given how terrible we've been at negotiating reasonable terms with vulture clubs (Nyoni being a great example), I have zero faith that we're going to get the money we should do. And every wasted asset is another nail in our financial coffin. We do have a great academy and facility in terms of getting bodies into the squad, but until it's run by people with the slightest hint of business acumen, it's going to cost rather than benefit us financially - something we can't afford in our current predicament. Which is a key reason Top needs to go and sell to someone who will hire a director with those skills.
  8. Maybe crowdfund and give them out around town before the games
  9. If Evans doesn't get game time given our striker situation, I'm done
  10. When asked about seriously considering signing a 36 year old who almost died in a car crash and hasn't played a competitive match since, spending weeks making him Plan A, wasting a week of the January window, then that player getting injured leading to the deal not going ahead and the club left with two shit senior strikers, a Leicester City spokesperson said:
  11. i despise modern football
  12. That shit shot they just had took a deflection and should have been a corner, too. Officiating absolutely stinks.
  13. Well, that's annoying - they'll probably pip Hearts now they've got the guy who actually knows how to manage a football team. Again.
  14. Trying to convince myself that I'm happy we've won, but i'm that numb to everything involving LCFC right now that I honestly don't particularly care. Only thing that's really left me smiling is Jakub's performance, which was top class. And I guess I was happy to see Page come on and make a positive impact, I think we started to grow into it a little more after then which perhaps deserves a bit more credit given it eventually led to the win. Everything else was dross tonight - I should be sat here watching Abdul's worldie over and over but I just... don't really fancy it? To call it a pyrrhic victory is an understatement, does absolutely nothing but leave us treading water, prolongs Marti's stint and gives the KPFC weirdos some sort of false vindication for going, even though 90% of them were half way to the Jewry Wall by the time he popped up with it. He had an anonymous game otherwise. Choudhury was f**king awful, defense was largely at sixes and sevens (haha hello Gen Alpha) and even usually reliable players like James and New Skipp were giving away the ball and conceding set pieces left right and centre. It was bloody awful. I might just skip Cheltenham entirely unless we see A) Souttar back for it and B) the likes of Aluko, Page and Evans involved from the start. It's going to be Daka up top though, we all know it, and that's the point at which I go off and do something else with my Saturday.
  15. Can't comment on the first 20 mins as I didn't see it, but didn't hear a peep out of us all game besides a handful of "come on Leicester"s and the meekest cheers for a Worldie i've ever heard from the 4000 people left in the ground. The "back the lads" KPFC types had, of course, already left by the time Abdul popped up, they need to be back in time for whatever's on telly. Newsnight? I dunno. Boos at half time. Who's doing that if the big bad Union FS "turncoats" aren't here, then? Pathetic atmosphere and total proof that without Union FS the ground is completely soulless. Out-sung comfortably by WBA despite them barely bringing 1000 themselves. Point very well made tonight, sure there'll be a few flask botherers on Facebook giving it the biggun to our own fanbase rather than enjoying the moment after that unconvincing win though.
  16. Absolutely shite, but Jakub take a bow - he's earned us three points there, never mind two.
  17. Oooh you beauty Abdul Another two points shithoused through individual brilliance, will take that
  18. What a save Jakub, more of that please. Braindead from best player hemza only hemza where is hamza BDBDBDBDBDBDBD 🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
  19. According to King Power's own figures we're now being fined by the EFL for trying to field 12 players.
  20. KPFC - "but its cold, that's why nobody showed up"
  21. Club will claim it's 29000 with a straight face But expecting around or just below 20000... I'm gonna say (with the KP Season Ticket Lies tax) 23959.
  22. Honestly, while it's nice to see some new faces getting involved, we've still been cowardly in including them during a season when we had a real opportunity to integrate them. Alves and Braybrooke were both cast aside, the star boy in Monga got a handful of games before becoming a bit-part player, and the rest have drifted in and out. Nelson had a bad game in a shite team performance at Huddersfield and was cast out for months. And on the flipside, I'm not going to take any pride in Thomas and Choudhury continuing to be involved - they're still here because of our board's incompetence and neither improves us - Thomas actively makes us worse and is constantly targetted, as he was yet again on Thursday with predictable results. We had the chance to sell him and instead of doing it, we gave him a massive contract extension. It's madness. The whole point of having academy players is to give them a chance and see if they're good enough. If not, you let them move on. In Thomas' case we've done that, seen he clearly isn't, and decided to persist with him with increasingly embarrassing results for six years. Meanwhile there are others like Aluko behind him in the pecking order who can't get a sniff, but we're supposed to be glad Thomas is proving we trust our academy - surely you see some of the irony? KDH is the only academy lad from the past decade who has genuinely improved us, and he was sold the moment our finances went tits-up. Considering how much money we've thrown at Seagrave, we either trust the academy to be our squad's spine, which we were supposed to be doing this season, or we use it as a conveyor belt to sell talent to fund external aquisitions. The closest we've come to capturing that lightning in a bottle was somehow fooling Ipswich into parting with the wedge end of £10 million for McAteer, but none of that was even invested back into the squad - we got a few loans in return and will now be using it to pay Antonio's wages on a short term deal. We're just run appallingly and have no idea what to do with our academy - if a mediocre mid-table Championship campaign isn't the time to be giving the likes of Aluko, Evans, Alves and Braybrooke first team chances then what chance would any of them ever get if by some miracle we ever did find ourselves in the top flight again? We wasted half a season letting shitheads like Faes, Soumare and Winks clog up the squad and stink out the pitch for god's sake. Let's not pretend we've really trusted the youth this season, certainly not when we've not been forced to through injury and suspension.
