  1. Nice Reverend and the Makers reference
  2. Yeah, but consider the commercial revenue from Bangladesh! There are 175 million people who think he's god with an afro, you know! I mean sure, 28% of the country lives in abject poverty and the average annual salary is £2,200, meaning it would cost the average Bangladeshi three weeks' salary to get a shirt with his name on, and given it's the bootleg clothing capital of the world anyone that keen could just get one made locally for pennies... but nah, totally worth it, untapped market, Rudders knows what's up.
  3. The PSR charge has finally put our absurd wage structure under the microscope for folks that maybe weren't paying full attention. It's kind of frustrating to see any comments thread about our charge derailed by "what about Man City" comments, because their ongoing farce overshadows the fact that, yes, we absolutely deserved it and probably deserved a lot more given we've spent 2-3 years trying to worm out of it via loopholes. A lot of more casual fans seem to swallow the "punished for challenging the elite" line, as if we really needed to be throwing £100k a week contracts at the likes of Boubakary f***ing Soumare to do that. But content like this from more "casual" football content creators goes a long way to making people realise just what a basket case we've become under Top. Vizeh covered all the main points really, especially the ire towards Rudkin and our absurd decision to let the likes of Tielemans, Soyuncu and others run down their contracts and surrender potentially upwards of £100 million of transfer fees that would left us less likely to breach. He also pointed out the bad transfer business which has completely eroded our squad's ability to compete. Only things that annoyed me about that analysis - 1) he completely glazed over the damage Brendan Rodgers did to us - didn't even mention him once besides the bit about us bottling Europe, which was just the tip of the iceberg of the disgraceful way he conducted himself while ruining our squad. And 2) didn't mention the Steve Cooper transfer window or the presence of Jordan Ayew at the club. But I'll let him off on the latter for pointing out Daka's price tag and atrocious return this season, lol.
  4. fixed that for everyone hoping for a Boro win
  5. Even Enzo couldn't quite throw our lead away - think it was 15 at one point and we finished one ahead of Ipswich. Cov's decline is historic if it does result in them missing promotion. And it would be the funniest thing ever in arguably our darkest ever season.
  6. Drink it in. Ipswich next, please.
  7. Sheff Utd vs Boro is hard to call tonight, but we're all hoping for a Boro win right? Completes step one of the bottle to end all bottles.
  8. It's ok, Top will just invent a new Crypto casino and claim they're giving us £3 trillion worth of bitcoin. Job's a goodun'
  9. We've got 1 point from our last 5 games though? The form table is VERY much worse than our season-long average, which includes spawny early wins over the likes of Sheff Weds and Charlton. I'm one of the few optimists that thinks our January business is going to lead to an upturn in form, but even I'm not naive enough to believe that we're not capable of cutting it VERY fine to either stay up or go down. We've been in relegation form since November.
  10. Thought he did okay? Was playing on egg shells for most of the game because of a card-happy ref - never a yellow. Despite that thought I saw more forward vision from him in 60 minutes than I've seen from Soumare in four years. Early days yet, but I have a feeling he's going to prove to be a useful acquisition given the appalling standards we have now set for ourselves. Like I say, I actually saw him pass the ball forwards at least twice. That instantly makes him a better player than half our squad.
  11. For me, it simply has to happen, the relationship is untenable at this point. I'm by no means a 'be careful what you wish for' type, the sooner KP piss off the better regardless of what comes after. But given their track record of everything in the past five years - managers, players, coaching staff, especially sponsors and their disgusting eagerness to jump into bed with sham crypto and stock companies for a quick buck - I have zero faith that they won't choose the worst option on the table to sell us to, especially if our stock is further diminished by relegation.
  12. Begovic last man after being sold a hospital pass by Ricardo (again)
  13. @Dollfhin you're in the clear, you can come out now
  14. At this point a ChatGPT prompt would do a better job at fullback.
  15. The silver lining is that A) it's not working and the heat on the Chuckle Brothers is greater than ever, and B) I don't think anyone with a brain is blaming Kingy one bit for where we find ourselves right now. Well, apart from continuing to give Ayew and Thomas minutes... I digress, despite the result today I thought we played with a lot more intent. We're just garbage and certain players continue to let us down with stupid goal-costing errors... and early red cards. Do we even know what King's game plan was going to be, really? Even the most meticulous manager surely doesn't plan to be playing 150+ minutes of football with ten men in his two matches in charge, let alone a complete novice. I hope there's a point 5-10 years down the line where we've had the baptism of fire to pry the club away from King Power, Kingy has earned his stripes managing elsewhere, and he's ready to take the reins of a revived Leicester City with an actual vision. I'm not considering this ridiculous scenario his audition to be manager - it's completely different to when Shakey took over from Claudio, given he'd been on the touchline with that group of players since Pearson's second stint and was more than ready for the role.
  16. Andy King yet again let down by the thick-as-mince players at our disposal. That's on Ricardo and BDCR today.
  17. There's that Stansfield goal
  18. Begovic has been excellent apart from his one brainfart in the first 5 mins. So much more commanding of his box.
  19. Andy King does not deserve this
