  1. Gap down to 6 as it stands. Blackburn last game of the season and Portsmouth in April too. No pressure on the new lads but they better all be game-changingly good.
  2. good window in the end? I'm just pulling your collective leg, leaving everything until the last couple of hours of deadline day is embarrassing lack of planning - we've thrown away so many points with our piss-poor squad throughout January that we could now be in a relegation scrap. Well done for wasting half the window trying to get Antonio's legs to work. And STILL no actual striker. We've got two wastemen who will be nursing themselves until their contract expires in the summer, and a teenager on loan who's by all accounts a midfielder.
  3. absolute scenes when he's still sat on the bench after five more games of BDCR behind Ayew.
  4. OK sweet, signings are all done now, tell 'em to bring out the lobster
  5. I give it 3 games before Dad calls him Davina McCall during his half-time analysis.
  6. I mean compared to wasting half the window on Antonio, this makes more sense if we're taking chances on folks with knackered bodies. Honestly if we can get 10 games out of the fella and he performs to a fraction of what he's capable of, our defence will improve, no question. Reassess in the summer. Who knows, he could excel and become our new captain at the head of a total overhaul for next season. That's a BIG if, of course, but we all know we're scraping the barrel at the moment so we'll take what we can get.
  7. Nah, it's the bare minimum of what should happen. Frankly, it's offensive that none of the title-winning squad got a testimonial, especially Vardy, Morgan or Kingy - who was supposed to have one but had it dropped after the pandemic and never spoken about again. This SHOULD be the de facto testimonial for everyone involved in the miracle. But let's be real - a reminder of what we once were in very recent memory would be a lightning rod for more criticism of Top and KPFC, so they daren't do it. Not least since multiple members of that squad (Vardy, Simpson, even hints from Albrighton) have been fairly open in their criticism of how the club is now run.
  8. Title winning XI vs. the current XI would be fun, not least because even with most of them pushing or past 40, the old guard would probably wipe the floor with today's squad. Kingy manages today's team then on 60 minutes Ranieri subs him on for Drinky and he two-foots all the players who have pissed him off over the course of the season.
  9. Wouldn't put it past Rudkin to have organised a swap deal to comply with PSR, and still somehow end up paying them money for the mothballs.
  10. The main takeaway I have from that is that we'd be the only club who couldn't sue Everton with a straight face, since we breached PSR like them and still went down at their expense. Sporting disadvantage?! Last I checked, we spunked £50m in January on Faes, Souttar and Kristiansen, none of whom improved us, and eventually found money we supposedly didn't have to sack Rodgers - three months too late and with the damage well and truly done on the pitch. The trajectories the likes of Barnes and Tielemans have since had show that they were just being horrendously mismanaged by the clown in the dugout - any sensibly -run club gets enough out of those two alone to rack up the points needed for survival. They're top-six players. Youri could win the league this year. That's to say nothing of having the likes of Maddison and Vardy still in the squad too. KDH coming through. Disadvantage my arse. Fofana's money would still have covered the transfers and sacking of Rodgers in any previous season - any breach was entirely down to our absolutely braindead wage structure, which had been covered up by the revenue from top-half finishes and European campaigns. Our ownership were just ignorant enough to believe we could never get relegated, since we were soooo well run... and as Top's interview this week shows, they have learned absolutely nothing since. Nah, I don't really have a problem with them throwing the book at us, since we were so horrendously mismanaged that we managed to go down in spite of a top 6 wage bill, then dodged the consequences on pure technicalities. We played stupid games, now we're looking for a spot in our trophy cabinet for the stupid prizes when they arrive. Burnley and Leeds didn't breach. Nor did they hire lawyers to worm their way out of taking the punishments at the time of application. Yes, it was embarrassing for the Premier League that we found a loophole, but A) it doesn't mean we weren't guilty as sin through our own doing, and B) it just means those loopholes are now closed and, unless we've found a way to tiptoe around them again, we will get what's coming to us with zero chance of leniency for co-operating with the process. The old adage that the Premier League 'don't want too many Leicester Citys' is certainly starting to take on a new meaning with our conduct over the past 3-4 years. I honestly can't blame either them or the EFL for wanting to make an example of us.
  11. It's a body. That's about all. At this point we could reanimate the corpse of Bruce Forsyth if the price is right and he'd walk into our squad.
  12. Wow, Palace knocked Wolves down to ONLY £48 Million for Strand Larsen.
  13. Top: 'nah mate, let's cut their meal vouchers'
  14. Plus the obvious, cynical answer is that Hamza's Bangladeshi fanclub are the only ones driving interactions and ad revenue on anything the club post online nowadays. As ridiculous as it sounds, he's the only 'marquee' player the club have right now to attract any sort of overseas fan. Daka's lot have finally realised he's shit, the standard of football in South Asia by comparison is so shocking that he's unironically like Messi to them. I highly doubt a few clicks and spam comments is worth the £50k a week we pay him, mind you... Helps bury the King Power / Rudkin Out comments too, yaknow. Which is probably the real reason.
  15. As a point, does anyone remember the PES team made entirely of bald players? Not sure Maresca ever made the squad as his hair stuck around for most of his career, but there were some corkers over the years. Here's the PES 6 (2006) line-up. I wonder how a Leicester XI of bald players would look - I swear Vassell had hair when he played for us for starters.
  16. It's not happening in a million years. I'll shave myself bald and take Italian classes if he actually comes.
  17. Toss up between Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen for me. Or, a hotter take, get Maguire back.
  18. If him and Rudkin were due to visit the island they'd end up missing their flight by 14 seconds.
  19. Just play him from hereon out. Today was his moment and he was the MOTM as a result.
  20. I've grown to dislike Palace more and more with every game that this lumbering lardarse plays for us. I think I declared my mental gymnastics about why he's actually OK officially over a few weeks back and can confirm I was a fool to ever try to justify his inclusion. As far as I'm concerned, Daka is the only striker at our club... and if that isn't the most depressing thought imaginable, I don't know what is. Hopefully they do actually spaff £50 million on a player as average as Strand Larsen and it becomes the start of their own financial oblivion and enshittification of their squad. Be nice if they're signing our shit cast-offs in five years' time instead.
  21. would be nice if they flushed, but at the same time... Forest... come on... please... give me this one small mercy this season
  22. their fanbase protesting our fanbase protesting
