  4. Nail on the head. I honestly think an embargo would be the best thing to happen to us next season if it forces us to look to the academy. Even the most ardent happy-clapper seems to now agree that the majority of our senior squad don't deserve the shirt. I'm particularly angry at Cooper for coming in with a supposed reputation for trusting young players, then proceeding to sign two donkeys due their bus passes and starving the academy of vital minutes. We broke a streak stretching back a decade of always having at least one academy player in the matchday squad under Schteve. Makes the revisionism of his time here from gloating Forest fans and Media heads all the more infuriating.
  5. I'm happy for him, but it's bittersweet knowing we've wasted the opportunity to blood him and so many others this season, at the very least in cup games. He will be vital next year.
  6. 'Great to see you again, Khun Top'
  7. That's a proper costly loss for Cov potentially, WBA and Bristol City do the business and they're out the playoffs despite their "league-winning form". Though I'm torn really since Bristol have Burnley, who I'd love to pip Leeds to the automatics (again). Really is a far more interesting league than the Prem. So much to play for still in April.
  8. Semi-related, but can someone who is more active on the platform pop over to one of the room-temperature IQ groups on Facebook and explain to them that renewals can be cancelled before April 9th? Even there, there are a bunch who are clearly stating they don't want to renew, but instead of reading the fine print they're just assuming they missed the deadline and grumbling about not being good with technology. Exactly what the cheats at the club want - low level grumbles that result in nothing from people who can't think for themselves.
  9. Still sounds like more reliable research than anything the club provide sober
  10. On the subject of renewal, my personal circumstances mean that I won't be attending nearly as many games as I have been doing, even before considering how utterly bored I am with KPFC as a whole. That said, I'll be sucking it up unfortunately, not for my sake but purely for others. Dad retires in two years and wants to follow home and away when he's got the time to do so. Never gonna happen without our "in" as ST holders. So it's very much a case of holding my nose and doing it for him - as I already have my eye on a non-league club near my new home that I'll be primarily watching next season.
  11. Cooper had a reputation for trusting the youth at Forest, then went and clogged our squad up with Ayew and BDCR. I have trust issues.
  12. I remember that one, we almost had 'em but that Salah triple-hattrick did us in the end.
  13. Issue is, I'm very much that bracket (early 30s), started going to FNF in the late 90s but my earliest LCFC memories are of the end of Filbert Street, old folks around me decrying how shit Akinbiyi was and Dad warning me we might not have a club to follow anymore. Growing up, I only truly tuned into the state of LCFC the season we dropped to League One. So I guess I have seen the past two 'lowest ebbs', and have strong memories of the latter. That team that went down to the 3rd tier was appalling in an entirely different way, but I never came out of games thinking the likes of Hume or Kisnorbo didn't give a shit. Given the difference in level, it's hard to argue this is a technically worse team, but by god it is my least favourite group of players I've ever seen representing our city. Even when we've been bad before, I've still felt that connection to the team and club. That's vital, and KPFC have systematically eroded that over multiple years. It's unrecognisable and certainly not something to ignite passion in anybody, whether that's the old guard, those of us who grew up through the mad past 25 years, or kids being introduced to it today. I don't blame anyone my age who is ready to pack it in.
  14. You sure you were in Poland? Sounds like our changing room to be honest.
  15. That's Oliver Skipp he's holding
  16. Always thought the episode of The IT Crowd where Moss has to deal with the fire is a pretty good analogy for the way we're being run.
  17. Forgot the game, but it was a 1-1 home draw in League One in miserable driving winter rain. Wasn't below freezing but bloody well felt like it as it was blowing directly at us in the Family Stand. Luckily there were enough empty seats that those of us who had bothered to turn up were able to huddle at the back in the top rows to keep dry, if not exactly warm. Anyone daft enough to stay below Row M that day probably got hypothermia. Looking at the results for the season, my head's saying it was Swindon or Stockport. Maybe someone else was there and can remember? According to the stats both had under 20k attendance despite being League games - something I reckon we might just see again in the next few years the way the club's going. As much as we fondly remember the third-tier season, there were times like that which really drove home that we'd sunk to a new low - half empty stadium, soaking wet, frozen solid, watching us labour to a draw against frankly rubbish opposition.
  18. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c04zk53z1yno.amp Honestly wouldn't surprise me, given that the extent of the Board's research seems to be reading BBC articles on their lunch break.
  19. Watching Bobby Reid for Jamaica. He's been shite, and they've just gone 1-0 down to the mighty St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
  20. To be honest, it would probably cost less than the £25 they want for a piece of plastic to get a burner phone with NFC - doesn't even have to be a good one, it's been common tech for a decade now. Might even have one sat in a drawer at home that could be repurposed. Cheap PAYG Sim, keep it to the absolute basics, maybe a data only deal in case something goes wrong and you need to connect to the internet away from WiFi. Tie the season ticket to a generic email you use for footy and nothing else. Simple lock everyone you share it with can remember (1884, 2016, etc). Obviously don't put any other personal stuff on the phone. Continue as before, just share the cheapo phone instead of a card. I don't agree with digital ticketing but where there's a will there's a way to get around it.
  21. Sack the Board is the right one. Focuses the ire on the two places it's currently most deserved - Rudkin and Whelan. But it puts pressure on Top as well without directly telling him to sell up. Personally I am now firmly in the camp of thinking the club needs selling, but I'm also a pragmatist. King Power Out runs too great a risk of backfiring if you go directly for it while the KPFC types are still attending games. But Sack The Board can also be interpreted to mean that if you read between the lines too. Oh, and there's a chant for it too. Love the idea of thousands of us singing Sack The Board while the plane goes over - media will pick up on that.
  22. The football was gash at times, but he has more man management in his little finger than everyone we've had from Puel onwards, combined. If he's still in the dugout, we'd have played the youth by now too. Dumb as it sounds I'd have him back, but only if it meant we got at least two seasons in the second tier to finish the rebuild he started and was on the right path with. We've set ourselves back a decade with the past two windows, we need to gradually rebuild a spine.
  23. The one club he got something approaching enough time to refresh the squad for was Bristol City, who are now having their best season in 20 years. He'd probably still be there now were it not for his ill health. The fans at Ashton Gate seemed to appreciate him on the whole.
