Not had this kind of nervous energy for a game for a fair old while. Simply put it's a massive game for our season. We were pathetic in how we squandered our lead at their place - peak Cooperball after a good first half. As wrong as their first goal was, the second half performance was appalling - cowardly deer in the headlights inviting constant pressure, which eventually squandered two vital points against a team that are often goalshy and contrived to do everything they could not to bag on the day. I sincerely hope we're brave throughout this one and put them to the sword. We as fans need to see that, and not just against bang average Championship sides, but against direct rivals. Lose and that's it, we might as well plan for the Championship again. I think that's a fair analysis regardless of how much of the season is left to play, because I can't see this group of lads pulling 2014-15 form out of their arses without the leaders we had in the squad back then. The momentum needs to build now or it never will.

I mean they're literally named after the chairman's favourite way to dispatch his enemies

We need to talk about social media and fans

Finally deleted Xitter last week after a solid year of debating it. I'd strongly recommend others hooked on it to do the same. It's been liberating. I realised gradually that I wasn't enjoying using it anymore, despite feeling obliged to stick around after years of building a decent chunk of followers. The decline under Musky Boy has been unbelievable though - it's now just a transparently awful place where the worst of society - the racists, scammers, perverts, religious nutters, chancers and bad actors - thrive. And that's without even mentioning the epidemic of AI and bots that have replaced human interaction. Sports are just a crystallisation of the wider rot on the site - intentional spreading of misinformation and often outright lies, to feed agendas and conspiracies, because that's what gets the most clicks and ad revenue. They don't care one bit about consequences - it's good for business! The same goes for Facebook, which I'm resigned to having to keep until my boomer relatives, for whom it's my only point of contact, shuffle off this mortal coil. Sometimes I catch myself scrolling through my "wall" and realise that it's original function - to check in on one another and see what your friends and family have been up to - has been lost under a sea of content farming, political bait and AI slop that you didn't ask to see.- 32 replies

LCFC at risk for Season 2024-25 PSR Breach
OntarioFox replied to ACF's topic in Leicester City Forum
Pisses me off no-end that the chap-lipped muppet tried to claim he wasn't backed in the transfer market. We spaffed over £200 million in the windows between him coming and Covid hitting, and £40 million on panic buys in Jan 2023 when the wheels were coming off. Our annual "marquee sale" policy to fund it obviously hit the buffers like an express train the moment the pandemic happened, and the rest is history. He filled the squad with mostly crap players, ballooned the wage bill, and left us on the financial precipice when our form collapsed and our bargaining power shrivelled up. We even let Madders go for probably £30 million less than he was actually worth, because Spurs knew our pants were down as a relegated club. It's a toss up between Rudkin, and him and his backroom team / scouts, for who is most to blame for the mess we're now in. -
LCFC will NOT face any charges for breaching PSR

Well now we really CAN solely lay any blame for relegation at the club hierarchy's feet. You have no excuses. Pull your finger out. -

After being subjected to two years of a CDM in Amartey being shoehorned into the backline under Rodgers, it would be a refreshing change to see a player do the opposite. Faes has the attributes to do that job well. About the only way a lot of fans will be having him as a first team regular going forwards to be honest - most of us have seen enough to know he's not going to show the consistency of focus we need to stay in the league.

Well that's another week of FoxesTalk hyperbole over then. I look forward to Monga's debut away at Bromley in the League Cup next season. -

There, I fixed it in a way everyone except far-right thugs will like. I'll unironically print a few of these to put around as a bit of a fightback, it's embarrassing enough being a Leicester fan right now without these morons making neutrals actually hate us.- 53 replies

I think a bit of sick came up. The mental bastard would absolutely buy it too. You'd just have to tell him the word Fox has an X in it and we're sponsored by a crypto scam and he'd be on the next plane to East Midlands Airport.

Probably just what the League Cup needs - it's been utterly boring watching the usual suspects - who clearly don't give a shit about it - win it again and again for the past 11 years. I'd be glad to see either win it - yes, even Spuds. As hilarious as their trophy allergy is, at least their fans will appreciate it, and it might reignite a little bit of interest in a competition that the "big boys" have been fairly transparent in trying to sideline out of existence.

It's how we played during our greatest ever year, and I won't lie I'm jealous watching other teams do it because I genuinely thought we'd broken the dam and shown there was another way to play besides pound-shop Tiki Taka. Anyone who thinks it's 'ugly' or 'boring' to sit deep and play on the counter is watching the wrong sport. There is no greater thrill than turning it around in the blink of an eye and leaving the opposition wondering just what hit 'em. It's utterly depressing that our club hierarchy were brainwashed into thinking possession at all costs was the blueprint to build on. It's ruined our identity and led to some very questionable signings. Even during the 'good times' under Rodgers, it only ever really worked against teams also dead-set on the same style with worse players (like Southampton) - we regularly had our pants pulled down when another team set themselves up to counter - like yourselves twice down the City Ground, first in the cup and then the year after in the league.

History is proving very kind to Puel, as dross as the footy under him was. I think we'd have been in the shit situation we are now three or four years sooner without his generally shrewd recruitment and academy promotions.

Hell, on today's showing I'd play a wrong-sided Thomas at RB once VK comes back. It can't honestly be any worse, he's plumbed deeper depths this season than anything Luke served up the last time we went down.
