I would agree but to be honest some of the other options offer nothing on the ball or off the ball, the simple issue is we do NOT have enough quality full stop in this squad, its NOT good enough. That is the fault of the board, and Steve Cooper who brought these players in. I like Facundo but he gives the ball away a lot, he does press well generally. So this is my only area of contention with the manager. However some of the others on the bench offer nothing on or off the ball unless the are in a period of being 'on form' good hair day or whatever it is they want, we simply cant carry that sort of player either. Mavididi is one such player, the other is Daka who often looks okay off the bench but is invariably is shit when he actually starts. The rest aren't even close imo. Why the hell have we wasted a years salary on a bloke who cant even make the bench? under successive managers, one who presumably chose him? The only option is really the young players, but it is a risk as it could damage their development, especially as the step up is huge, and if our fans decide to boo a young lad who makes a mistake it could knock them back, in many ways its better to let them keep banging in goals for a little longer in the Under 23s. Its all stuff that I think is being acknowledged and worked on but its not an overnight thing. The basic fact remains we do NOT have a premier league squad, whatever formation, players etc we play likelihood is we get beaten. If we play a different formation and or players and get absolutely whooped because those players and that formation aren't good it further knocks confidence of the entire squad, we are looking more solid and look reasonably decent at times in possession, there's improvements. I think the view is to build a style, an identity, we are going down with this squad. Really its about how we build a sustainable model for the future. I don't know if Ruud is than man to take us forward yet but he is working as a professional in an absolute shit show, so im willing to at least wait a while and see. Ndidi is only just getting back to fitness, he does make us a bit stronger defensively so maybe that adds a bit more flexibility, but he's been back 3 games. I don't have any confidence that this club is capable of bringing in anyone better even if he wasn't the right man and we did sack him, that is in reality the crux of the issues.

Actually football data analytics isn't quite that simple, they will be monitoring his running and positioning without the ball. Im not saying its good, far from it but likely better than some of the absolute shite we have on the bench.

Because some are. Especially the ones who sit passively and applaud Top and Rudkin. They think the solutions to our issues is to change managers again, then how many months does the new man get before we call for his head, working in a shitshow with no backing, no transfer window. The other solution is bizarre formations and players from the bench who have already proven they aren't not good enough this season thats WHY they are on the bench. Then we get 'we need to change something', the other view could be that we gain an identity and playing style, we become better, more stable ready to hit the ground running next year instead of yet another random set of players and management styles from the board. Theres not a lot we can do with the season now, I feel Ipswich and Wolves will finish above us as they simply have better squads, thats not the managers fault.

But we literally could do worse, we could lose 8-0 instead! I am pretty sure there is a reason the team is picked by the manager with data we dont have access to. From what I have seen none of the options of formations would make the slightest difference to us.

Our fans won’t because most of them are morons and think the shit bench or formation shuffle will fix everything and that you bring in a new manager every few months to fix stuff and that any manager would want to come and work here !

You could have Houdini in charge if this squad, they d still lose and the defenders still cant defend, Daka still can’t shoot, Mavividi still can’t beat his man. It’s like giving a chef a plastic saucepan, it’s impossible to polish this turd. We’re going down, we have been since the minute Cooper arrived here and we wasted what little money we did have on utter shite.

I think we need a manager to be given time to build something, it’s not an overnight thing to build a complete structure here. I still think this season from November is not a fair judgement of anyone. The squad is ill equipped no matter what formation or player, those are facts. The positive is the players are playing for Rudd still, and I like the appointment of King who understands the club and is the building block for identity. I personally feel we need to stick with it and try and build something and hope if it’s a success the big clubs don’t come sniffing. A rebuild can’t happen overnight especially mid season.

This is why I think Ruud deserves a bit of time. If we are still shit next year fair enough but it’s hard to turn this ship around overnight despite our fans thinking tweaking formation or playing Mavividi or Daka will instantly resolve our issues. He’s got stuff to learn yes but he’s an excellent communicator, he understands the value of building an identity which is what we need, it takes time.

I think the Issue is from what I have seen the personnel bar Facundo deserve to be where they are, they have clearly shown nothing in training, and have failed to perform when played. I’d rather have Daka and Facundo in the team, maybe sack off one winger let Facundo and Bilal roam. Stick Daka on a wing or shove 2 up top. Whatever the manager does he will get criticism, but he’s been served a shit sandwich on a wet paper plate. I’m not sure many are going to work with the structure of this club, no transfers etc. It’s been a mess since Enzo left and we’d have probably gone down under him too.

Mavividi is utter dog shit I’m sorry, he runs, does a crap step over loses it, huffs and puffs, jogs back nonchalantly. He’s played and was wank. I’d like to see Facundo play but he’s not a wide player. He does also give the ball away quite a bit. I can see why we have the team we have, if we lose the ball, it puts our crap defence under pressure, so we need to try to keep the ball better. Mavividi certainly doesn’t do that. As soon as he came on Saturday we conceded as Ayew worked much harder. With Facundos finishing I’d be tempted to stick him as a 9 The facts are this squad is not a Premier League squad sadly

I think the rot was setting in with Cooper we were getting worse game on game, our good results were nothing to do with him and I think the scoring flowed through from the previous season.

His remit is to stay up so he will play who he thinks are the best players. I happen to agree the other options have proven they aren’t good enough. A rebuild and promotion, building a structure, style etc is a totally different project. I doubt we get anyone decent until we get a decent DOF as no one will want to work under Rudkin

Do we have any dangerous attacking players on the bench?! I must have missed them. There is a reason all the players on the bench are on the bench, that’s because they are all even more shit that those on the pitch maybe with the exception of Facundo. Daka is shit, which is why a 38 year old gets in, Mavividi is greedy, shit and lazy so no space for him, the rest I can’t even begin with!
