Vardy isn’t even responsible for the fact he’s on those wages, the pinnacle of the problem and the responsibility lies with the top and whoever gave him that contract. It’s not Vardy’s fault he’s leading the line and still our best striker at 38. And it’s not just about sentiment either, it’s not Coadys fault if he’s also on ludicrous wages, not Vestergaards fault he was given a 3 year contract, not Edouards fault we brought him to the club on ridiculous terms and have not played him, not RvN’s fault Leicester City have a manager out of his depth who wasn’t backed. The pinnacle of the problem is and always will be the leadership at the club, that’s why we’re in this mess, no individual footballing person is to blame for accepting a contract or not being good enough, as others have said a witch hunt against our greatest ever player is just downright unnecessary and will change nothing other than making us look ungrateful. Everyone’s entitled to talk about anyone within the club but I seriously hope fans don’t forget the real issue, the weak leadership and bad decision making at the top has turned us into a joke, personally I can’t even bring myself to be blame anyone else anymore, absolutely nothing will change until the top of this club does.

Efl cup round 2 draw - weds 14 aug - 10pm

Wouldn’t quite go that far, in the same bracket realistically, few more trophies than us all of which are ancient, but probably smaller or no bigger than us in any other metric. -
They were crawling all over any post about us and Cov, they can’t stand it that Cov actually consider us a rival they’re desperate for no one to care about us it’s so weird

In a sense we are yes, but aside from those that have been repeatedly relegated from the Premier League in the modern era (Norwich) you rarely hear those clubs get labelled a yo-yo club like we seem to, you also have Man City (21), Sunderland (21), Sheffield Wednesday (18) who have been up and down about as much as we have and in Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday’s case they’ve spent much more time in the third tier too, but they seem to be above the yo-yo tag we are so often given. And people don’t like it because it just seems to be a tag others give us to try put us back in our place where they think we belong, when you compare how they see us to how they see the above clubs I don’t think that annoyance is that unjustified.

Yeah gutting to be so close, we had a joint 32 and 31 application, shouldn’t have any problems next year at least. -

Unsuccessful on 31. -
If the fans come together and kicked up enough of a fuss he’d be gone, just as we could’ve done with Rodgers when it was clear his time here was done. Unfortunately, this fanbase just doesn’t have it in them to apply any real pressure, so instead we’ll probably collectively sit back and watch as these clowns sink us further.

Those of you who don’t want this to happen for whatever strange reason you have really need to let it go, it’s happening.
-
the smug look on its face your club gets bullied by us love no amount of “not caring” is changing that
-
Because to them they really are world famous, it’s not like when West Ham call themselves massive for a joke, these lot just wholeheartedly believe it, while we’ve only done it to take the piss we’ve actually got more of a claim to the world famous tag than they do but they’re not self aware enough to get that.

Newcastle and Sunderland do tell Middlesbrough how they don’t care, but just not anywhere near to the extent those 2 do and they don’t really team up to do it. The trouble is they think they’re Newcastle and Sunderland to our Middlesbrough and want everyone else to think that as well, no disrespect to Middlesbrough but they are lacking in size compared to the other 2 local sides, where as we’re just not at all, we’re bigger than Derby in most measurable ways and bigger than Forest in a lot of ways too, yet they’ve convinced themselves otherwise. I don’t think they can say the do hate each other to be honest, it’s pretty tame rivalry that they’ve built up in their heads to be something it’s not. It’s not even got that deep a history either, only really became both sides biggest game some time after Clough, there is a forced element there especially when you consider the trophy swapping routine. It’s a rivalry that started out of love for one bloke so maybe shouldn’t be a surprise they mostly act more like friends than rivals.

It’s a good thing we’ve kept the East Midlands relevant

Some seriously bitter ramblings. Always thought of Derby as being far less bothered about us than their best friends Forest, but seems we have a permanent place in their heads as well.

It never made any sense to me Ward was picked over Iversen in the first place, now we’re in a difficult situation because the pressure on Iversen would be immense and dropping Ward potentially destroys any confidence he has left. With how well Iversen had performed last season I simply can’t understand the decision not to give a keeper with the potential to improve the nod over a player who has sat on the bench for 4 years and never once threatened to become number 1. These sort of comments were not uncommon from Preston fans.

Bring Fer Nino in with the money, he was just trying to protect us all this time.
-
Really surprised it’s not Vardy to be honest, he’s probably 3rd in line so he’ll get it a bit this season anyway.

"A buy now, pay later fashion, which has put clubs off dealing with them. For example, the £40m plus bid for Maddison only offered Leicester £20m up front this summer, which was nowhere near attractive enough to the Midlands club to sell one of the key creative players." from the Telegraph.

Spawniest club going, won’t be that lucky every week but they’re still spending. You just know as well if they stay up they’ll try convince the world it was a miracle like they did when they beat Maoams 90 years ago.
-
With Zouma on the pitch I wouldn’t rule it out.
-
There’s probably some obvious ones I’m forgetting, but how often does a player that’s accepted being number 2 for years end up being a good number 1? Unless they’re at the start of end of their career you have to question any players mentality who just accepts being number 2, Iversen for me.

Provincial success in Europe’s big leagues will only get rarer
Yes replied to ScotFox1's topic in Leicester City Forum
Exactly that, I’m not going to slate it but if you’re arguing which is more surprising it’s simply not a comparison, we’re comparing an era of football where no one had finished top 4 for over a decade except for the usual suspects (or since) and an era where Derby had not long won a title and second division sides were winning the FA Cup. Then when you get into the context of both clubs at the time it only becomes clearer who’s is more of a shock. Just an odd comment considering what the article is about. -

“IT WAS A RARE moment when Leicester City won the Premier League in 2016. It was the most surprising title triumph since Nottingham Forest won the old first division in 1978” Got it wrong in the very first line, considering what the articles about the author should know that, ours was the most surprising title ever and nothing comes close, some heavy nostalgia to try and argue otherwise. -
Assuming this has been said on a stream or something.
