  1. Should be a good one
  2. It’s just some weird superiority complex they’ve got, I’m fairly confident you ask most football fans who the biggest in the East Midlands is they’ll say us or Forest, Derby wouldn’t get a mention, yet according to Derby and Forest fans they’re the 2 biggest easily, as others have pointed out it’s beyond weird for a so called rivalry. They just live in a weird bubble together and somehow convince themselves that despite our recent success the football world is more interested in them than it is us, convinced themselves that if they just “don’t care” that they must be superior somehow. The recent obsession Forest have with not caring is funny though they’re determined to stick it out, even creating a pretend rivalry with Southampton on Twitter, all done with us in mind. They haven’t even clocked yet they’re spending a lot more time denying a rivalry than Leicester fans are talking one up.
  3. Some people just need to learn how to admit when they haven’t watched a player, you see some bad takes but this is up there.
  4. The top 9 are all at least decent sized.
  5. I do like the idea of an even bigger stadium but I think the clubs gone down the sensible route, which is probably the right thing to do, if we consistently sold it out for a few years a further expansion would probably happen sooner rather than later, maybe another 8k taking us up to 48k. Just a shame we haven’t got this phase of the plan done sooner.
  6. Can’t say I’ve watched a great deal of Diego Carlos, but seems to have some quite mixed reactions from those who apparently have, still feel Villa are heading the Everton route, good signings on paper but before you know it you’ve got a squad of ageing big name players no one actually wants anymore.
  7. few Celtic fans suggesting we’re going to come down with a bad case of asthma if you can’t beat em…
  8. I did think striker, but I’m not sure either of Rowley or Arthur Chandler (probably one of those for 3rd) quite has the legacy of the other 2. Some big names in centre mid as well but didn’t spend a lot of time here.
  9. Can any other position on the pitch compare with that top 3? In their own right 3 legendary keepers, a World Cup winner, a European champion and the keeper behind the greatest achievement the sports seen.
  10. We really shouldn’t be worrying about them finishing above us and all that, if they do then I have no doubt that’ll be on us having a disastrous season. They’re in for a tough time and their greatest hope is keep the momentum get off to a good start. They’re going to struggle to get Spence back in so that’s a key player that needs replacing and not an easy one to do either, his and Johnson’s link up down the right is about 90% of their attacking threat, they need a left wing back as currently they have Jack Colback in that role, either bring Garner back (looking unlikely) or find a replacement, and they’ll probably go back in for Davis from Villa, leaving them with Davis, Surridge, and Grabban as striking options, they’ll surely sign a centre back but Worrall an incredibly average centre back and Mckenna a Scotland reject will continue to start and in the Premier League could get exposed big time, especially Worrall. They beat a weakened Arsenal side who are prone to a howler here and there, an injury ridden Leicester who were having regular capitulations and ran a weakened Liverpool team close, all with the motivation of being the lower league cup team with nothing to lose, be a completely different story in the league, by the end of the season I won’t be surprised if they’ll just be happy they cleared 11 points.
  11. True, people don’t like to accept it but it’ll never be a major rivalry for that reason alone, even if they’re “pretending” a lot of people act like it’s gospel when they say they don’t care so they won’t respect it regardless.
  12. Can’t wait for them and everyone else to chime in and tell us how much they don’t care, good times
  13. Hilariously, all the talk from their fans and the media might be their downfall, the pressure on the players will be immense with the way they’ve gone on, the opposite is true for Huddersfield and they’ve been given a lot of motivation to ruin their day.
  14. We probably do it more than most.
  15. They just can’t stop lying can they? 100,000 calls a day as has been pointed out in the replies that’s over 3 calls a second in a working day
  16. I feel like Villa will fall into that Everton sort of trap, they’ll spend big but not particularly well and while they’ll often have a decent team on paper it just doesn’t quite click. Those in charge at Wolves maybe not quite as ambitious as their fans first thought so I don’t know if they’ll progress much further. Think we’ll finish above both for the foreseeable future.
  17. The top Midlands club again
  18. Stuff like this is why I just can’t have them up give them a tiny bit of success and watch how deluded they become, saw another bloke the other day saying they’d fill all of Wembley, they’ve been in hiding for 20+ years and filling their stadium towards the end of the best season they’ve had this millennium with tickets on the cheaper end for even the Championship has gone to their heads. Keep em down.
  19. But in that same time they also only have 4 wins out 14 in the Championship. The one that lead to Deeney Day still isn’t a negative at all in my mind either regardless of what happened after. After that dull 0-0 we beat them 4-0 in the replay. Valid point about not beating them in a 100 point season, considering how we were often better we have struggled more than you’d expect.
  20. They already do, about the clappers, goal music and the lack of atmosphere, this is a step in the right direction to fix the latter. If you or anyone else against the singing section has a better idea on how we could improve the atmosphere then let us know.
  21. Yeah it’s really not that bad, we’ve had a few shockers no doubt but I don’t know why some are convinced we get spanked every time we play or something, we went their place and took a play-off place off them it’s not been all bad, even the 5-1 season we beat them 3-0 in the return fixture, all time we’ve beat them as much as they have us. Plenty of reason to not want them up but worrying about them beating us isn’t one for me.
  22. As irritating and untrue as the “magical, famous, classy, sleeping giant” tags are for them, it’s just the medias job to create a narrative, much like when Leeds were in the play-offs they can see Forest are the most likely to up so they run with that. This doesn’t come close to the love in we had when we won the title either or even just the last few years, so I’m not sure we can really moan.
  23. Norwood you tit why did you go up so early. So predictable he’d miss after that.
  24. The league win was bigger of course but as far as which actually felt better it might have to be the Cup, the league was a nervy time and even when it happened it just didn’t quite feel real, where as the moment Tielemans goal went in and when the final whistle went was unreal.
