Faes, Vestergaard and Soumare have been OK this season. Sorry to upset. One mistake each at the back, and Soumare is obviously hugely frustrating, but if we had a forward with even a hint of goalscoring ability, we'd be in the promotion spots right now.

I'd normally hold judgement after an hour or so of playing time. But in this case it's absolutely clear that he's League 2 level at best. He can head a ball hard (not in any useful direction). That is it.

Has it occurred to anyone that he's actually just as old as he looks? I genuinely think we probably did sign a 42 year old and the poor bloke is just fulfilling his contract without wanting to upset anyone.

He's ok going forward. But his inability to learn how to defend is astonishing. Isn't that his job? Doesn't he train? Learn? I swear someone hacked our scouting algorithm 5 years ago and filtered only defenders that have brain farts on the regular.

He's done some good stuff here. But if attacking movement and patterns aren't the absolute focus in training for the next few weeks then I will lose faith. We are so toothless and never look like even trying to score. 2 in the last 3 games is generous.

Genuinely gutted about Ward. Ive never been optimistic about playing an ex player. But this was going to be the highlight of my season.

Interesting reading people's perceptions of players and games. I thought Page looked very brave in terms of wanting the ball in advanced positions. His touch was off a couple of times and he was physically weaker than opponents. Obviously. But he clearly had some very impressive attributes for his age. I'd say if you thought he was poor, you don't fully understand the game tbh.

Aren't they quite physical? I'd have liked Soumare or Ayew in tbh. If that's allowed. Glad to see changes elsewhere though. We've been so toothless recently.

Still think impact sub is best for now. But Mavididi seriously needs to up his game. Has he played well once in 2025?

Thought he was OK today. Seemed to be more positive with the ball 2nd half. Unfortunately he can't make a poor pass or he's immediately had a bad day at the office!

Agreed. Think he's done a good job. Let's not forget the rot he's already cleared up. We need more goals in the side, that's for sure. No one in this squad scores more than 10 in a season. But is that his fault? Midfield could be more dynamic though.
