  1. Rodgers Smith Maresca Cooper RvN Cifuentes Rowett Martin You cannot knock the club. 8 managers in 4 years is great banter. Each one generally worse than the one before and ALWAYS a totally different philosophy to the one before. How is that not entertaining?! Variety is the spice of life and all that... Of course, on a serious note it is baffling and it feels increasingly likely that this isn't incompetence, but deliberate sabotage.
  2. No one can convince me that the people running this club actually care. In fact, I think there's some sort of deliberate self destruct pact going on. The only good thing is that I actually think I'm going to stop caring completely too, which will save a lot of inevitable pain.

I'd argue he'd be better staying here but we aren't exactly selling ourselves these days. The system is very broken though and it's a shame these youngsters can be snapped up so easily and cheaply
  4. I dread to think what's going on behind the scenes. Mainly because it's either nothing, or something led by Top and Rudkin. Either way, it's going to keep this club dropping like a tonne of bricks. It wouldn't surprise me if all efforts at the club are currently going into minimising the embarrassment for tomorrow. The thought of us currently scouring Europe for top, affordable talent is more 5000-1 than the 2016 achievements.
  5. Gary Parker, front right
  6. The promise of goals is a decent selling point tbf
  7. I love that more than I hate the club. Would buy 3
  8. This needs saving for when we're good again (or a commemorative shirt for when the club folds).
  9. I read this recently. I loved it, but totally misjudged it. He talks like Trump. I thought it was a parody for the entire first half. It was more enjoyable that way. Once I realised the protagonist was meant to be cool and hip it lost a bit!
  10. 2nd best keeper we've had in 20 years. You can use that to back up a few different arguments!
  11. Decent way of identifying players but I prefer the current model of Top and Rudkin randomly picking players out of 2017 merlin sticker book and then paying the biggest number they can count to. Not worked thus far but im sure it'll come good.
  12. That was the one thing I had no recollection of either. Did the story ever actually make the press? Fair play to him because it absolutely didn't affect him one bit on the pitch.
  13. Thought the doc was objectively brilliant. Not much we dont already know but we'll put together and the story is genuinely miraculous. So much of that season makes me weep, and tonight was no different, only added tears this time knowing we'd be a broken club 10 years later.
  14. Latest I've heard is Top wants to give King the first 5 games and see how he gets on. Kingy reluctant but won't let the club down.
  15. Given the current top brass historically haven't believed in succession planning, you would guess it'll be well into June at the earliest. I'd imagine they'll register the relegation some time next week. Forget to renew Rowett's contract the next. Ask Kingy to step in for pre season. Spend a fortnight looking through the agency's brochure. Give Enzo a call. Give Kingy the first 3 games. Then find some washed up out of work carcass because we're in the relegation zone.
  16. 100% It's an absolute red flag of an interview. Yes we need someone committed and unprepared to take slacking. But we do not need more performative nonsense, or fallings out, at this club.
  17. You are saying Pontus Kaamark was a better right back than Ricardo? Can you please confirm that's correct? Happy to send help over if you stick you're address in too!!
  18. Our best ever period is 2015-2021. He was here for the majority of that. What did your 2 suggestions achieve here? Top 5 finishes in England's top league? European runs? Which of them scored in a european quarter final? Id suggest it's you with the blinkers on, esepcially if you're trying to stop a genuine debate
  19. King is a coach who didn't want the job, doesn't want to manage, and has a completely different manner than Fuchs. You can't use King as a blanket response to any ex player ever managing a club!!
  20. And you said there were plenty better, only to name one bloke who played when the sport was miles off the standard of today, and the club weren't competing in Europe on the regular. Ricardo was a class player during the club's best ever period. I've never even heard of the fella you mentioned in 30 years of following the club, and you've not given even a hint of what he was like, nor any of the "plenty" others better than RP.
  21. He would. Up and coming manager who's taken a club in free fall and saved them. ...because we've lost every single leader the club once had. All the more reason to bring one back!
  22. Christian Fuchs
  23. Who are you thinking?
  24. A bloke from the 1950s?! I mean that's a long way to go back for your first example. And I'm pretty certain that, objectively, Ricardo would be a better player. What was Norman like? Can you add some others? I genuinely had no idea we'd had so many top class RBs.
  25. But in context... We're not going to get a manager with an incredible win ratio. Unless it's some random caretaker, like RVN. And Fuchs would certainly be better than him!
