  1. You expect a Manchester derby before the semi's or final? You're an optimist, right?
  2. Well that's unanimous then
  3. Surely the most relevant point is that up until recently we've had half the first choice team out injured - so we're unlikely to be able to afford regular football to an untested youngster, whatever his potential.
  4. There's no U in team
  5. I'm glad I said "Allegedly" šŸ˜†
  6. Allegedly. (Confused whether loans go here or transfers) https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/exclusive-preston-north-end-closing-in-on-transfer-deal-for-leicester-city-player/
  7. Can anyone explain why he's swapped one Championship team close to the play-offs for one with only one win in five? Not worried, I'm pleased for him, but given he was playing often and apparently happy at Barnsley - and they with him - it just seems odd. I'm probably missing something blindingly obvious........................
  8. According to this report originating at the Athletic, Chelsea will never talk to Rodgers because he said this whilst at Liverpool: "You come from a really good club like Chelsea to a massive club like Liverpool where there is expectancy every day." "It's believed Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich took an issue with the statement and he still hasn't let it go." He's like Karen Brady is to usšŸ˜‚ https://www.sportbible.com/football/football-news-chelsea-will-not-hire-brendan-rodgers-as-manager-20210104
  9. Report in Fancast of an Athletic article that Madders had pen poised at Southampton before Leicester "swooped". https://www.footballfancast.com/southampton-fc-news/southampton-james-maddison-leicester-city-ralph-hasenhuttl-brendan-rodgers
  10. @Foxhateram - Slimani
  11. It's new year's eve and I'm bored. So....... Selections please for the FT first team squad and backroom staff Who will be the FT vardy, do we have an enforcer for midfield (Mark?). I think we all know who will be press officer - and obviously Strider will be Chief Tactician. Play nicely children.
  12. Boxing Day always seemed to be Spurs at home from the early 60's. Probably my imagination
  13. Good spot twister. I'm sick to death of partisan pundits who do nothing but bull up their ex team - even tapping up players live in TV. Let's get back to objectivity
  14. 12 Kings a Powering 11 10 Jeffreys Schlupping 9 Vardy's Partying 8 Monks a blessing 7 6 Swans a Chandling 5 4 League Cups 3 call girls 2 And a Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha (yes I know swans are 7, but tell that to Arthur Chandler)
  15. Has SFE posted whose gets which desk yet?
  16. Yeah ok, I'll go with the punditry - but who edited the highlights? Mourinho? I must have watched a different game, especially the first 2 minutes. Sorry I mean 45.
  17. And goals. Character, consistency and goals are the ingredients we need to add. What else could Roman Abramovich do for us?
  18. Can someone call an ambulance for Chris Sutton - he has something stuck in his throat: Chris Sutton's Europa League predictions for Premier League teams: Arsenal vs Benfica: Benfica Man Utd vs Real Sociedad: Man Utd Spurs vs Wolfsberger: Spurs Leicester vs Slavia Prague: Leicester ............................. Leicester have talented players and are going well in the Premier League, in which they are third. ā€˜I’d expect them to fly past the Czech champions.’ Read more: https://metro.co.uk/2020/12/15/chris-sutton-europa-league-predictions-man-utd-arsenal-spurs-13756102/?ito=cbshare
  19. Wow - that's a bit of a stretch from what my post was aiming at. I wasn't having a pop at any particular manager, just the spectacular mis-management at the the "most valuable club in the world" and how misguided journo's seem unable to take off their blinkers. So if you were including me in "Some People" then I take offence. If you weren't including me however but was just going off on one - then clearly it was a perfectly reasoned argument and I largely agree with you.
  20. Manchester United are three transfers short of being genuine title contenders https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/premier-league/manchester-united-are-three-transfers-short-of-being-genuine-title-contenders/ar-BB1bWH2V To be honest, so are half of the prem - but you'd really expect better from a team that has spent the best part of a Billion Pounds in the past few years. B*gger me - a billion pounds. Someone find me an agent.
  21. Nah, didn't they play four centre-halves at the weekend?
  22. Would Toure be interested in going back to Arsenal?
