For me the first half of the game was exactly what I wanted. Leicester with the right to be in the Prem playing with confidence, on the front foot and having the right to win the game. Then Cooper went into his shell. I don't mind us seeing games out (but with some form of attacking outlet) and I wouldn't have minded Hamza coming on for Ndidi but to basically have 9 outfield defensive players on at the end was criminal. I say 9 because Fatawu wasn't getting forward at all and we literally had Vardy with 90 mins in his legs as our only advanced player. When you're 2-1 up you should be looking for quick direct players to come on knowing that the opposition is bound to give it a go. If you throw on defensive player after defensive player it becomes attack V defence. We gave Palace an easy opportunity with little risk to get forward. Surely Coops should know this? We should be having a very good chance at winning that game 1-3 or at least if we do finish 2-2 we've had some brilliant opportunities to score ourselves. Cooper. You better learn quickly or you can ****off. Also what the hell is Coady doing there? With all that experience. Absolutely shocking from him.

Palace vs Leicester - Pre match thread (14th September 3pm)
Collymore replied to FoxinNotts's topic in Leicester City Forum
1 - BDCR needs to be binned. Bueanotte needs to be in the side. 2 - Ndidi need to be replaced with Skipp. 3. I feel we need to be more dynamic with Justin and Kristiansen taking it turns to venture forward making it harder for the opposition to setup and giving us more options. With this, Ricardo should be considered to play Justin's position. 4. He needs to decide on the CB pairing now and go with it, not chop and change. He'll know more than anyone the importance of a consistent defence. I'm thinking it might be Faes Okoli for now but I have a feeling we might see Coady Okoli when Coady is fit again. I think they'd complement each other well. 5. Cooper needs to take some risks. Not massive ridiculous risks but I think fans will respect him if we are seen utilising our attacking strengths more even if this doesn't equate to points straight away. Setting up not to lose, which is unlikely not to work anyway, can be sensible at first maybe when assessing squad, but I really hope he can grow a pair and be more proactive going forward. -
You mean the Telegraph? Yeah very sad. Their most recent podcast is heart wrenching.

It's not so much the skills that impress me, they'll get coached out of him no doubt, it's more the vision the lad has for a forward pass. It was what I first noticed about Mahrez in his early days.

How does he get into that Wales side. They must have an absolutely awful pool of keepers.

Rudkin got praise when we won the league and punched above our weight there after. He's the visible (yet silent) person that we know has a lot of control over our club. I'm one of his biggest critics but equally happy to praise him when we do good. I can't believe the confusion and lack of understanding of why people wouldn't be pretty venomous towards him, especially with the pretty obvious direct negative links to football operations. Leicester means a lot to so many people and emotions run high at the best of times. To question why people call him out makes me wonder if people are either too close to the problem and have been brainwashed somehow or don't understand the problem at all. The middle ground is reality. We've been a sh*t show.

Without the cash in his hand it might look like something else he's suggesting

Think they'd be paying us.

Oh god. Seems like yesterday he made his debut scoring that goal. How sad RIP.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
Collymore replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Despite the horrific line up from Cooper and losing at halftime, Ayew looks like a right steal doesn't he? He's deseptively quick and seems to read the play impeccably. Proper footballer. -
Leicester v Villa Match Thread 31/8/2024
Collymore replied to ozleicester's topic in Leicester City Forum
Horrendous team. Cooper I feel is desperate to make us just survive probably for his career too. That's how I feel. That's not necessarily bad, but I don't think we're going to be entertained this season. -
...and you'd lift it up to fax tones.

Match Ratings: Leicester City 4-0 Tranmere - Vote Now
Collymore replied to Mark's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thomas looks very comfortable at that level. Co-commentator picked up his problem - he just plays the safe ball and takes no risks. He's the opposite to Kristiansen in that respect I'd say. Don't get me wrong, sometimes it really back fires on Kristiansen but he seems to have the ability to brush off a disaster quickly and go again. It's a different Thomas to who I remember when he first broke into the first team, he'd get forward quite a bit. It seemed Rodgers coached that out of him or he just went in to his shell. I don't know what the future holds for him. He's not a bad player, comfortable on the ball but that's not always enough at the highest level. -
Could someone embed this video for me please? https://x.com/DundeeFC/status/1828734331981893980

Good loan for him. Will be watching the Dundee games when I can. Good luck Sammy.
-
I really fear he'll come a way from today thinking Skipp, Ndidi, Winks are going to be an attacking force. Worrying.
-
Yeah because he's absolutely s**t.
-
Thought he looked very sharp when he came on tonight.
-
He looked awful IMO. Couldn't trap a bag of cement. Nelson must be wondering what hell is going on.
-
He's on a different page to every player on the pitch. Everyone playing safe but he was seeing moves 3 balls a head that no one dared to engage him with. What a player.
-
Don't underestimate how good Vardy is at defending corners. Always stands on the corner of the 6yd box towards the corner taker. He's done this under numerous coaches so they must recognise how effective he is.
-
I can't believe there's not a queue of clubs in the EFL wanting him on loan. I hope the delay is us sifting through the list to get the right match and perhaps building in appearance criteria into a loan contract. This can be done can't it? Not sure how it's done, whether there's a fee that gets triggered if he doesn't play but you'd hope one look of the lad in the first match and he'd be the first name on the team sheet going forward anyway.

Fair play to all you lot getting over 600. Found today's impossible!
-
But he's got Premier League experience so he will.
