It won't be close between us and Notts County. Maybe they stick enough men behind the ball for a fluke win but we have far more quality.

The fans expectations of players like Winks, Skipp, Faes, Vestergaard, Ayew, BDR, Mavididi and Daka being solid championship players was misplaced. I think after a year of watching that lot it is fine to be excited by players who have genuine football ability and effort. There is already interest from championship clubs for Braybrooke so it's not even a hypothetical of whether there is a risk that they will be taken off our hands if they start the season well.

Dane Scarlett is vile, Rak Sakyi talented but despised by Stoke fans for his lack of effort. Keep both far away from the club.

Faes was responsible for us going 3-0 down by half time in consecutive games. He certainly played his part. Have we ever done that at championship level before? We didn't do it last time we went down to league one.

Of those nailed on to feature only Aluko was on the pitch for those impressive last 20 minutes against a number of Malaga's first team. Hutchinson, Neale and Carr (despite a poor finish that should have been a goal) showed they could cause issues for a team that is better man for man than those we will face next year. Otchere is our current top scorer and Evans is in theory the most talented of that group although he needs to show that with the first team. Just seems that if we go into next season overlooking the players who have made this pre season so enjoyable things will go south very quickly. The exact same thing happened last season.

Always expect the worst when it comes to this club sadly. Wouldn't be surprised if a number of the young players who impressed yesterday don't get a proper lookout during the season in favour of the consistently disappointing experienced players and whoever we bring in this summer.

Did he say anything about the omission of Evans? He's yet to properly showcase his ability for the first team but i would still have preferred he come on today instead of BDR.

Shouldn't need to be in third tier to be forced to play our young talent.
