  1. There's a decent chance Lascelles is injured for the remaineder of the season
  2. We signed Vestergaard before Faes who was also dog.
  3. At the time I also said we couldnt go into next season with him as our only left footed left back (mostly in reaction to us signing Castagne) but that doesnt mean didnt think he had shown promise for his age. The best games he's had in a leicester shirt came in 2020/2021 as well (Napoli, Man United). He just hasnt progressed past that point sadly.
  4. knowing our luck Blackburn are about to go on a strong run of results and we will be left adrift at the end of the next 5 games
  5. In terms of how he performed at youth level I think this was right, he was always a bit shaky and the game before he was promoted to the first team i am pretty sure he played an opposition player in to goal with a missplaced pass. Let's not downplay the fact that Thomas did take his opportunity at the time. At the start he played well, not just at defending but going forward, i remember him linking up very well with Barnes at Napoli, scoring against Man United etc. Similar to someone like Mcateer who scored regularly at the start of the 2023/24 season but was unable to maintain his form. That's why I think fans put too much emphasis on young players "taking their opportunity". Silko Thomas took his opportunity in pre season and has played semi regularly for us, but i would back more talented players like Evans or Alves who havent necessarily forced their way into the team to maintain good performances once they have settled in and found their form.
  6. What a player Lookman has become.
  7. Daka is undeniably better than Ayew. Says more about Ayew than Daka though.
  8. Don't get me wrong, Cifuentes and RVN were bad, but they were also victims of inheriting a squad with major mentality issues. RVN's time in particular ages better as things go on, winning any games at Premier league level with this squad +El Khannouss +Buonanotte -Fatawu -James was not an easy feat. Especially considering how weak the mentality of the team is and that we were losing every week.
  9. Those of you that defended the collapse in 19/20 saying "oh we still finished 5th" despite the lack of professionalism on display. This is what normalisation and acceptance of those performances leads to. We can moan about the hierarchy of the club but the complacency of the fans has played a factor as well. There was a belief that "we made it" and for years we weren't allowed to call out gutless displays for what they were because "we were in league one once". Well now we've got what you wished for, the standards have dropped and we're back to being small fry on the brink of relegation to league one again.
  10. Straight back up to the championship, our fans start talking about PL promotion, then back to back relegations to league 2.
  11. To think he was a cult hero at Crystal Palace. He's so bad that he makes me appreciate all our other bad players in comparison.
  12. Will Alves apparently having a good game but Huddersfield dont have anyone getting on the end of chances.
  13. Follow on free kick came from where Evans was so the linesman flagged him. Couldn't tell if he was on or not.
  14. That run in behind and finish reminds me of a certain someone
  15. 4 points behind Norwich, whose fans seemed certain they would be relegated back in November/December. It's ridiculous to suggest that we could be relegated though .
  16. To be fair Ricardo wasnt just any right back at that time, he was a top 3 right back in the PL in 2019 neck and neck with Trent Alexander Arnold and Kyle Walker. He was far too good for us and should have made a £60mil move to PSG that summer. Factoring in the above it was probably still worth persisting with him through injuries, he was our best player as recently as 23/24. It's time to move on now though.
  17. A well run club never signs him. A moderately well run club gets rid of him last summer. A poorly run club moves him on this January. Only our abomination of a club would still have Winks involved at this point.
  18. The two worst run clubs in English league football. 3rd place isn't close either.
  19. Incredible understatement considering we have just lost back to back home games against relegation rivals. Some fans still cant see the wood for the trees, it's February and we are above the relegation zone on goal difference whilst being in relegation form without a manager. After 22/23 we surely cant still be as blinkered as a fan base to see that relegation is not only a possibility, it's more likely than us finishing in the top half of the table. Yet you still have some fans talking about the playoffs.
  20. Agree with everything except for that Steve Cooper was sacked too early. In the summer he was pushing for a £10 million loan for a finished Zaha, and we still signed load of terrible and expensive players for him. If he had made it to the winter transfer window we would have had a 9-12 points deduction this season and more crap players that we would not be able to shift.
  21. If we broke more financial rules then we would just have more Soumares, Dakas, Perezs, Praets, Faes's, Slimanis, Ghezzals etc stinking up the bench or out on loan then leaving for minimal fees. It does matter how much we spend, the club is terrible at recruitment so the only difference would be having expensive crap players or cheaper crap players. We would never have become Champions league regulars.
  22. We got promoted to the top flight the season we were in administration. There's a decent chance we are in league one for the second time in our history next season. If not you can still only see things getting worse for us in the near future.
  23. How on Earth is Rudkin still at the club by the way. Completely bewildering.
  24. It's tragic that even if he was just signing for the U21s I would be annoyed at him blocking Hutchinson's pathway and reducing Otchere's game time. This guy as a first team signing is just a complete piss take from the club. It just keeps on getting exponentially worse the longer these twats are left in charge.
