Working hard =\= working diligently. Personally I can't stand the workaholic types like him that are always busy but never put any thought into things. By taking on the OH Leuven and king power racing jobs he has ensured that he will never have the time to do any more than a surface level job here. On first glance it seems commendable that he's covering all these areas but from a Leicester city perspective he is no better than a lazy person who hardly shows up. The Leicester City DoF job alone should take up more time than there is available in a working week. Rudkin taking on more work than he can handle isn't a good excuse for him going on holiday in the period he is needed most every year.
-
Scouting and recruitment, pre season plannig, in our case finding a new manager, managing contracts, long term planning. This is usually the busiest period for directors of football. Sadly in our case May/June is when Rudkin seems to take his yearly holiday which is why we are always so unprepared.
-
We've treated him poorly to be fair. He was basically left to rot from when Dean Smith came in to the end of the 23/24 championship season.
-
Just checking, have we formally parted ways with Rowett yet or are we keeping him around just in case?
-
Winks being the best player on the team is not factual it's down to opinion. From my point of view he cost us a lot of goals and points last season by letting his man get away from him and is generally too lightweight to play midfield unless the players around him are far better than those on the opponents team. If you need a superior team to make him look good then what is the point of him in the first place.

This has got to be one of the most delusional articles ever written. £8mil for Oliver Skipp who was one of the worst midfielders in the championship? £3mil for Harry Winks who is on ludicrous wages for his ability. Ideally we should snap anyone's hands off who are willing to take him on a free. Also Winks thriving at a play off contending team? Did they miss us not winning a game where he started from November till the end of the season? £2mil for 33 year old Vestergaard and £5mil for Kristiansen, who Bologna wouldn't go over £8mil for when he had just helped them to champions league football. It's just so far from reality.

Just goes to show how overpaid he is that no matter how much mutual hatred there is between him and the fan base that he's not willing to leave. Wouldnt be surprised if his best offer was 1/10th of what he is on now.
-
I hated the idea of Martin in the championship and prem and I hate the possession for possession's sake style but surely he will be fine in league one and at least has a decent track record of playing young players. I'm not usually one to play devil's advocate but I think he'll be ok for us given where we are at.
-
Any team in the top 5 leagues is probably a good option considering the point he is at in his career
-
Going to racing Santander apparently, will be interesting to see him against Barca and Real Madrid. Also surely people aren't calling Vardy boring personality wise, considering his personality on and off the pitch is probably as iconic as his ability on it. Don't think anyone has ever come across well in an interview.

Would rather be in league 1 having played the academy players a bit more with the upside of them potentially coming good at championship level in the coming years than having stayed up last season and been looking down the barrel of relegation next season with minimum future prospects and the academy players leaving. Sadly we have gotten the worst of both worlds, the pathway wasn't shown to the youngsters so they will leave and we also got relegated. Motsi should have been in and around the first team going into next season whether we're in championship or league one anyway.
-
I genuinely believe the lack of game time for young players last season was worse for the club than relegation itself. It was the best opportunity to flush the rubbish and bring back some direction into the team and we wasted it. Now young players are looking at their prospects here and realising that older players will always be prioritised.
-
Imagine being a West Ham fan getting relegated from the PL because of mismanagement/players not being bothered then signing Harry Winks who has been a key part in us going down to league one. There would be riots.

Can't really be called stiffing is when it comes to paying a fee for Wout Faes. We should probably be paying them! (And likely will end up paying them to cover some of his wages)

Not trying to prove something, could just see that Hermansen had lost something at the end of our last PL season and was happy for him to leave for a fee. Had he been with us this season we wouldn't be able to get any where near £15mil for him and I don't think he would have kept us up. Stolarczyk has been disappointing though, felt that certain fans were unfairly on his back after a good start to the season but he let his head drop too easily in response to that. The talent is there but the mentality isn't. -

Seems to be a division between whether they think he is entirely poor or has some redeemable qualities. Positive remarks only seem to come up when in relation to Areola. -
Starts today, massive game for cremonese

I think West Ham who have watched him every week this season would agree with me. Good goalkeeper for us but that injury has killed him off. Danny Ward also had 6 clean sheets in the first half of 2022/23, I don't think you would find many people saying he wasn't too shabby then. -

Danny Ward had a decent couple of games before the world cup. Across the whole season Hermansen has put in a lot of stinkers. The kind of games you would forgive a PL level goal keeper for having once or twice in a season has been every other game for him. -

Sadly he's finished now, not just at Premier League level. Been a complete liability for West Ham this season and was bad for us after his injury. No matter how underwhelming Stolarczyk has been, getting a fee for Hermansen when we did was the right decision. -

When you have clubs like ours that would rather loan a big 6 academy player like Mukasa than play our own in Page then players need to be able to leverage their own value in order to convince clubs to play them. Whether we like it or not, agents give young players power in an industry that is incredibly cut throat. I prefer the reality where our young players are able to at least partly control their own future rather than leave it up to the likes of Rudkin who will always prefer ready-made journeymen. -
What does dominating a league 2 game look like to you? It's an 11v11 game, as a midfielder it's difficult to win games yourself if the others aren't up for it. All you can do I be amongst the best on the pitch, which he was.
