  1. This is going to be a leicester all timer when we concede
  2. At least he's only on loan.
  3. This squad is really bad to be honest. If he integrates Aluko, Nelson and Monga into the squad (and later hopefully Page and Evans) and gets rid of a few more of the high earners in January I will be happy even if we dont go up. The priority has to be on fixing this squad long term and reducing the wage bill.
  4. He's had a very solid first half, gotten pretty much everything right that has come his way.
  5. Page almost scored a screamer, good save
  6. Evans apparently unavailable for the u17 world cup game today as he's sick.
  7. As i think year of the fox said it's best that he left when he did as he was starting to get some of the blame for our performances on the pitch. It's better that he's not stuck with us with these other rotters tarnishing his time here by association.
  8. Guy on twitter who has been right regarding lineup leaks every time he has come out with them this season. Edit: not got it 100% right every time, said Ayew was starting at the weekend but the rest of the lineup was right.
  9. Allegedly rolling the dice with a 352 and Nelson at centreback. Will at least be a bit more interesting.
  10. You asked why people 'assume' Aluko is a competent left back, it's because that was his main position last season where based off those performances he started making the first team bench as our backup left back. Cifuentes might not see it that way and but Aluko is definitely a viable option in that position, he can also play right back to a good level as well so no harm starting him there for the u21s.
  11. I understand the frustration with Vestergaard slowing the ball down too much but i still think he's a better centreback partner than Faes. Faes is just too erratic which wont help Nelson find his footing in the team.
  12. Add Danny Simpson into this team and we would complain he doesnt offer enough going forwards yet we won the league with him (obviously Simpson is far better defensively than Kristiansen). Sometimes players who arent great indivually can be part of a good team and the inverse can happen and great players can be part of a bad team. He's always been poor, if he was actually an important part of Bologna's success that season they would have made a serious effort to keep him.
  13. Why speak on subjects you dont know about? Aluko made his professional debut for us at left back and played most of last season in the u21s at left back. He was also originally scouted for our youth teams as a left back. It's only this season where he has been moved out to the right.
  14. He was brilliant against Hull and put a proper shift in then it seems that because he tried his best and we still lost that he's just thrown in the towel. We really needed to shift him in the summer, it's frustrating because he can play well but his mentality and tendency to crumble under pressure is just pathetic.
  15. Have you seen Hermansen at West Ham? He's turned into Danny Ward, no chance he starts over Stolarczyk on current form. Mcateer similarly has been dreadful for Ipswich, Fatawu hasnt been at his best but his worst is still miles ahead of Mcateer has been this season. As I said to the other commenter Justin had to go as well, he was really bad last season. He might be a bit better than Thomas (which is debatable after his level for us last year) but to get the money we got for him was very good.
  16. Justin had a horror show season last year, maybe he would be a slight improvement on Thomas and Kristiansen but I dont think it would be enough to change results significantly. Good personality which we are lacking at the moment but realistically he had to go and to get £9mil for him was very good business.
  17. We did well to sell Justin, Coady, Mcateer, Hermansen (could have gone for more but has struggled for form since his injury). The only player we sold in the summer that we're really missing is Ndidi, El Khannouss as well but he had to go.
  18. Aluko does have a defensive brain fart in him but he's far more athletic, technical, and stronger than Kristiansen and Thomas, also makes better runs off the ball. I just cant understand his exclusion, he's one of the most threatening players in our u21s whilst being a defender yet he's not getting a shot when we dont create chances.
  19. You're forgetting that Vardy was the player who bullied that West Brom player at the half way line then carried the ball halfway up the pitch to score the winner in the 3-2 win over a decade ago, that he was the player who scored the winner against Burnley that same season, the player who scored 11 in a row and won us the league, the player who scored at Sevilla, the player who scored 20 in the league in 17/18 despite getting 0 service. Vardy was one of the main reasons we were established in the Premier league in the first place, he always tried his hardest and fought to the very end. You cant blame him for being part of the culture that brought the club down when he was part of the culture that brought the club up originally. Cremonese seem to be doing fine with him over there in Italy whilst we're falling apart more than ever. Compare the fight he showed to bully that Juventus defender then score the other day and the mentality to pick the ball straight out of the net to how our players reacted to going down against Blackburn. Vardy was the last piece holding the dam together rather than the reason it was breaking apart.
  20. Vardy oversaw the biggest rot in the dressing room Schmeichel leaving accelerated that rot but that rot was well under way whilst he was here. It was down to recruiting the wrong personality types and Rodgers being a wrong un himself, not Vardy. We had Fofana forcing his way out to Chelsea, which we knew would happen with how he left his previous club. We had our captain Evans being injured then magically recovering for Northern Ireland games. Tielemans being left to the last year of his contract. The introduction of Faes who blames everyone but himself for his mistakes. Ward who also arguing with the centrebacks over his own mistakes. Rodgers being a petulant child playing games with the board with substitutions because he didn't get any new transfers. I could go on but Vardy cant be asked to oversee that mess and turn it around, he's a senior member of the dressing room, not someone who is expected to manage all the players, and manager, and who we bring in.
  21. Aluko has the athleticism to carry the ball up the pitch which the other two dont. In pre season we scored a couple goals from Aluko driving us up the pitch and making runs into the box and he was playing centreback at that time. We definitely need that athleticism in the team in the fullback position, surely getting first team minutes is better for his development rather than rotting in the u21s playing with players worse than him.
  22. I genuinely think the butterfly effect of not playing Nelson has been significant. The gut punch feeling and ensuing boos as a result of Faes stepping onto the pitch for the first time this season against Wednesday, albeit he did score the winner, has resulted a stale atmosphere around the club. This was the season to freshen up and not playing Nelson who was quality at this level last season will end up being one of the worst mistakes in a litany of them over the last 5 years.
  23. Probably the day we signed Oliver Skipp, knew the club hadnt learned their lesson and were going to continue the downwards trajectory. Then we signed 33 year old Jordan Ayew for £5mil whilst being linked to a £9mil loan for semi retired Zaha. The Sheffield Wednesday game this season was pretty bad when the penny dropped that the academy players were going to be sidelined.
  24. You think the likes of Ricardo, Fatawu, James, Stolarczyk, Silko Thomas deserve to receive boos as a collective? It's not all of the players fault, just the majority.
  25. I wish I could vote for all of them but you just cant ignore how bad the Oliver Skipp signing was.
