  1. King Power have only ever 'cleared' loans owed to themselves by transferring them to equity (they would ask for more money if they sold). As far as im aware they have never taken on debts owed to external banks. Genuinely think our issues go far further than PSR but we'll have to see i guess.
  2. What i dont understand is how we pay off the £350mil of loans invested into paying off our losses in the last 5 seasons though? OK we're only losing £20mil this last season (allegedly) but the club still have massive loans that are picking up interest that were levied against premier league income we dont have, surely at some point we need to turn a profit and start investing our league money into paying back loans only?
  3. Does getting promoted even get us out of this issue though? Surely with all the losses over the last few years and the loan repayments kicking in even alternating between 1 year in the PL and 1 year in the championship doesnt stop the club being dried out financially? Maybe someone more financially literate than myself can give the answer but I just dont see where the money is going to come from and how we are going to get out of this. For me the worries and struggles on the pitch are dwarfed by the financial worries off it.
  4. "Good times are coming" Please can someone explain to me how the club will not go back into administration within the coming years? £70mil loss per season for the last 5 seasons. Losses paid for by high interest loans taken out against Premier League revenue for the next 10 years. We are likely to be in the Championship for many of those next 10 years. Club not selling fringe players for more than they are worth (Mcateer, Iversen, Thomas) Club signing/retaining aging players on high wages above what they are worth (Ayew, BCDR, Vestergaard, Winks, Coady, Ndidi) No attempt to improve from those last 5 years of mismanagement. We are the definition of a recipe for disaster and I dont believe we have felt the full effects of the last 5 years of awful management yet. If someone disagrees please explain otherwise.
  5. Lowlight: Oliver Skipp signing for £25mil. It not only changed my outlook on the season from cautiously optimistic to resigned to relegation but also brought me down to Earth thinking we were back on the way up when really we still have a long way left to fall before things get better.
  6. This video gives a feel of why he's so highly rated. Came into a Wednesday side with 2 points from 10 that was useless in every way and turned them into a direct, high press side that is comfortably midtable in the championship. People always ask the question "what difference would a new manager make when the players are clearly out of their depth", here we have Rohl getting the players to perform way above their level.
  7. Bit harsh on Ranieri. Nigel and Walsh get the credit for the squad but Ranieri got everything right tactically that season.
  8. It was a bit harsh on Dean Smith but I was trying to make a point that he's not viewed that well by our fanbase but is still a substantially better manager than Martin.
  9. I was surprised when he dropped back down from the u21s to the u18s. He was performing well at that level.
  10. Out of interest for those that want Martin for his promotion credentials, what makes him a better option than someone like Dean Smith who failed here but has far better credentials at that level than Martin.
  11. We are not the ones that need to move on, it's the likes of yourself that are stuck in the past. The league and fa cup win have bred a mentality of complacency at the club where because we've had success recently we need to accept whatever is served up. With a club our size we cant afford to he complacent as we will just end up crashing down the football pyramid. Years of mismanagement has led us to our worst top flight season ever and a ridiculously overpaid, under talented squad. Bringing in Russel Martin is yet another bad decision that is going to drag us further down, the contempt from him doesnt come from entitlement, it comes from a desire to have some form of long term stability at the club. If we hadn't won anything the fans would still be unhappy at the decision making at the club.
  12. The season before he joined Swansea they were 6th. The season after he left MK dons they went up to 3rd.
  13. I'm nots sure he goes. If his job was under threat surely we would have heard something by now. Realistically we needed a new DoF in January to start preparing for signings in the summer, a new hire isnt going to be able to bring in what's needed before pre season starts
  14. After that save im available for him any time
  15. Stolarczyk is one of our best players and some want him to be second choice next season because he miskicks the ball sometimes. He keeps the ball out of the net which is all that matters.
  16. there is usually a tradeoff, we cant sign a hermansen every season and even he is lacking at commanding his box compared to stolarczyk
  17. rather him than someone like bazunu
  18. him and skipp need to be hooked at half time
  19. Are they getting gametime because there's a plan to integrate them into the first team or are they just there because of injuries and because the first team is so bad? I'm worried that they drop back down the pecking order against once Cordova Reid and Mavididi are back despite impressing in the limited minutes they've had.
  20. Fair enough, that's surprising to me although I am still wary of his reluctance to play typical wingers.
  21. Out of interest where did you get those stats from? Edoze and Kyle Walker Peters were the only players they had that season that dribbled semi regularly and got over 1000 minutes. I cant see how they had more take ons than us when we had Fatawu and Mavididi get over 3000 minutes.
  22. It will be the likes of Ayew, Mcateer, Cordova Reid on the wing ahead of Mavidi, Fatawu, Monga. Maybe at best Alves will play who is good at retaining the ball when driving forwards. We would never have wingers that take a risk taking players on under Martin, it goes against everything he stands for in football.
  23. He had edozie and sulemana as pacier options and didn't start them. When Maresca came in we brought in Mavididi, Fatawu, Akgun as options out wide that could take people on as that's what he needed for his system. It's not a coincidence that Rusell Martin, who knows exactly how he wants his team to play, doesnt sign pace on the wing and ends up with slower player out wide that cant take players on wherever he goes.
  24. You're not going to get fast wing play from Russel Martin. He prefered to play with slower indirect players out wide at Southampton and Swansea. Usually strikers or midfielders and never wingers, so the likes of Monga, Mavididi and Fatawu will not get gametime under him. Considering all the promotion of Monga over the last few months, if we bring in Martin or Dyche it shows just how poor our club's strategy is as he won't play under them.
  25. Russel Martin in the PL was more clueless than Van Nistelrooy in the PL. Russel Martin's style 'winning promotion' was getting them into the playoffs, that's not a good performance with the squad he had and it's not a consistent way to be promoted. I have a feeling youre going to be surprised by just how bad of a manager Martin is. Those two games we had against Southampton in the championship were the easiest we had that season, he's going to make us absolutely rubbish.
