Maybe im missing something but all i see when i watch him is Louis Page, a bit raw and struggles with the physical side of the game. The talent is there for sure but i dont think he's something that we dont already have in Page.

You cant argue with all the green i guess. Just worried that on the face of it he seems to have not kicked on since that season and doesnt look very developed physically. If we are bringing in a new attacking midfielder he needs to be a clear improvement on Page otherwise what's the point. For example when i watch these highlights i see current Louis Page but slightly better, and considering the age difference I'm not sure that's what we need and would expect more.

He has 15 goal contributions across his entire career unless im looking at the wrong player? Best season 5 goals 1 assist as Middlesborough 3 seasons ago. Looks to me like an academy player still trying to establish himself in senior football which is what Page/Alves are.

He's just come off a long term injury and doesnt look good at all. Doesnt look like a player much further in his career development than Louis Page except Page is 17 and making his debut season. Not impressed by this one.

This is the issue with the club sticking to their high valuations of players. Yes you get £9mil for Justin and £12 mil for Mcateer but you also miss out on selling Daka for £5mil. We really should be trying to get what we can and move on at this point, he's not even starting over Jordan Ayew.

For a loan and option to buy for 5 mil euros for a young talented player you cant go wrong really even if he isnt as good as is expected. Looks like excellent business on the face of it.

Aluko is the one actually making the bench instead of Kristiansen. With Thomas and Aluko we are ok. Faes can also cover at left back if he stays.

It's probably the perfect club for him, Feyenoord fans would have very high expectations and Vardy is a bit of a streaky, confidence player so I could see things going wrong for him there. A club like Cremonese where strikers are expected to score 5-7 goals a season without the fans turning on them will be perfect for him. He's always been someone who values the support of the fans.

I think you just have to accept we are one of the worst run clubs in football and not think about it too much.

Winks is a luxury midfielder that not many want or can afford. It will have been quite a humbling summer for Winks with his agent looking around and struggling to find suitors. If he is going to go he will need to drop his wage demands significantly becauee he's not getting half of what he is paid here anywhere else.

He's our best centre mid but that's a very low bar. We cant lose him on a free and we need to get his wages off the books. Selling him and prioritising a new centre mid over any other position should be the priority. On a side note imagine if he ends up playing for AC Milan, from Gattuso, Seedorf and Pirlo to Soumare. What an obscene drop off.

Ideal replacement for El Khannouss would be Titraoui. Unreal player and could likely get him for £5-7mil.

I just dont see the point in the way we have managed him. Just a complete absence of trust in him from our leadership. We gave Cordova Reid 744 PL minutes but Alves cant get gametime for us in the championship. Even after Dewsbury Hall's succesful Luton loan he needed Soumare to flop to get a chance. It feels like Alves will always be fighting against a wave of incoming players to make it here, most of which won't even be any good. Same with the rest of the academy.

Cannon, Winks, Doyle, Casadei didn't really work out for us. Yes Winks on his Premier League wages who shat the bed at PL level was not a good transfer. Cannon also not a good transfer just because Sheffield United saved us by overpaying further on him. We got lucky.

If we get promoted he's still going to struggle for gametime even if he has a good loan in league one.

Now please spend the money wisely rather than have a repeat of last year.

Im not saying compete for the same players as we would probably lose out but just look in the same direction as Feyenoord are looking. Although now I've looked at it they've signed 2 Portuguese league rejects, 2 upcoming talents from the Belgian league, 1 championship defender and mostly other talents from Eredivisie so maybe not as exotic as I expected. The players from the Portuguese league in particular look similar to our transfer strategy of paying more once they've failed elsewhere.
