Same here. By choice I’d vote Labour but am happy to vote tactically as my part in helping decimate the Tories.

Sunak's loving the "do not surrender" line isn't he?
-
Cabinet minister claimed he won £2,000 on election bets He now says it was a joke, with the oddly specific denial of “I did not place any bets on the date of the general election during May“
-
Presumably by the end of the day either he or one of his lackeys will be sent out to parrot that he’s taken “swift and decisive action”
-
Fair enough, I quite like our local Tory MP and he won’t be getting my vote either. I do hope it isn’t just the nutters left after the election though, even if I don’t like them and wouldn’t vote for them I think it’ll be healthier to have a party based more in the centre than one lurching to the right.

I agree, she’s one of the good ones with (hopefully) a decent future and role in shaping the party going forwards. For the good of the country having a credible and moderate opposition people like her need to be in what remains of the Tory party, not the likes of Badenoch, Jenrick, or Braverman.

Group C: Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, England

It’s Kane, of course there’s no prizes. -
The conspiracy theorist in me could believe that there are elements with vested interests within JSO that want to discredit them and make them unpopular. Their cause is surely one with decent support, but the way they go about it understandably drives people away.

AI is getting scarily good. You can hardly tell that the original said “Mason Mount” and not “Jordan Henderson”.
-
There’s no need to be offensive. Please apologise to mince, what’s it done to deserve that comparison?

That’s very impressive how he’s actually managed to make a bad situation worse.

Possibly including a catch attempt of the booster 😬

The hosting was fantastic, hearing them laugh as it somehow kept going through reentry was great. I'll be honest, I had major goosebumps listening to the emotion of them as it made it all the way to splash down.
-
Oh wow! That was beyond belief, how the hell did it make it through reentry and successfully do the flip and land with that flap half burnt off?!?!

And he's standing to fail to win a seat for the 8th(?) time

Farage taking over as leader of Reform.

With their latest polling it now has Labour winning in Bosworth with a 3% majority, wow!
-
I'm in Bosworth, which has been Tory since the 60's. Before that it was Labour for a couple of decades, and Liberal before that (according to a quick scan of Wikipedia). In '97 it was only won by ~1k votes so I suppose it's not beyond possibility it could go to Labour but it seems pretty doubtful. I've only heard decent things about the incumbent MP who took on the seat in 2019, whereas the previous MP nobody had anything good to say about yet he was still voted in for over 30 years.

Fair point, it just seems unimaginable that ~27,000 could no longer be considered safe. The thing with those results you’ve cited, and I know this is a Tory line but on this occasion I think it might actually be true, those by elections had a lot of extra baggage with the circumstances that caused them. I obviously have an interest with it being my constituency, but it’ll be a very interesting one to help quantify just how badly it goes for them.
-
I’m quite puzzled as to why Sunak visited Bosworth yesterday when it’s surely one of the safest seats in the country. Surely his time would be better spent in seats that they’re at a real risk of losing. Either they’re worried about seats that have a majority of ~27,000, or he really has just given up and doesn’t care about trying to limit the damage.

Police urged to consider making fewer arrests over prison space https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cv2274gdk10o That's one way to reduce the crime figures

Fantastic fight. Usyk definitely shaded it and deserved the win, but I think you could make a case for a win for either or even a draw. There were a lot of rounds you could have given either way. I had it 6-6 with Usyk winning with the knockdown. Once it has finished I said to my Dad it would be Usyk spilt decision, seemed about right to me.

Through DAZN, or Sky Sports Box Office. They both let you watch online without already having a subscription. I’ve bought this, it feels too big to be having to jump around streams as they get taken down.

Well there’s being a sore loser, and then there’s Susan Hall. I’ve seen more classy things on the bottom of my shoe than her during Khan’s speech.

Wait, are you saying parroting lines from the daily mail doesn’t count as knowledge?
