I laughed until I realised I’m marginally older than Matip

He can play with wads of fivers as shin pads. I used to use maths exercise books, worked just fine.

Did have a chuckle at Molester City comments below this

Looking at our fixture list October will be a key month, then Ipswich up in early November. I’ll judge Cooper once we get through that run of games. Basically no pre season due to our awful squad management, we had no creative players at all for him to try anything out before the league started basically…
-
If he’s doing it against lower half teams then I’ll complain. I don’t have too much of an issue with trying to get to 60 mins still in the game vs CL teams or those in that area of the table. Their excellent second goal today was very unfortunately timed for us really.

We played well, actually created chances and were beaten by the team with better players, their second was a quality goal. Usual hysterics here but fairly positive that if we play similarly we beat other teams in this division. All of the new signings on show had good games. All round better than I expected going into the game

I don’t think we’ll ever see Ricardo as a regular full back again, under any manager, his body isn’t up to it. No coincidence he was able to finally sustain regular football again when moved into the centre.

Yh I’m not a fan of Ndidi there, I get it off the ball, but if they’re gonna let us have it he’s more of a hindrance than help -

I don’t have a problem with starting defensively against teams that are on paper miles ahead of us, even at home. Providing we stay in the game and have a go in the last half an hour. Annoyingly here their second goal came at an awful time. -

We have had more possession, more chances, more shots, and double free the kicks won, against a champions league team and yet we are shit and it’s all Coopers fault? -

Okoli, Skipp, Ayew, Buonanatte and El Khannouss have all looked decent today in what we’ve seen at least. -

I mean in fairness we’ve had the entire of pre season to prepare something with no creative midfielders because behind the scenes we couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery -
