I’d take ****ing Elon Musk at this point, at least we’d finally have more than one right winger- 109 replies

Surely at this point the thread should be renamed to “too late to hit the panic button?”

Tottenham (H) - Mon 19 Aug 8pm - Pre-Match Thread

Keep it down to single figures lads, want to keep that 0-9 away win record in tact for at least the first few weeks of the season. -
I mean, yes that is true, but they’re also in the Europa league and finished 7th in the Bundesliga. They are a miles better prospect than us.
-
For the positions where you’d be starting most weeks in the Prem for us (ST, CAM, LB, etc.) you’d think with a half competent DoF we’d be pretty attractive shop window for young forwards looking to push themselves on a big stage.
-
Genuinely, just look at the championship and League One, might as well start preparing for next season.
-
We’ve had months and done nothing to solve glaring issues. Would not be surprised if we did nothing, accepted our fate, and Cooper walked.
-
You think this is bad, just wait until we get rejected by Jordan Ayew
-
Scenes when this is the teaser for announcing how many points we are dropping to PSR

Cooper has turned up to his job site, been handed a tool bag, opened it and all that is inside are 4 of the same screwdriver, an extremely old mallet and a drill with the battery dead. Gone to ask for the tools he actually needs to do the job and thus far been ignored. No manager is beating spurs, or any other team, on the opening day with this squad. It simply isn’t good enough. I actively hope we get battered by double figures to wake up our useless board.
-
We have zero strikers good enough to lead the line in the premier league every week. Vardy can do a job in bursts, when fit, and the other two are not good enough. I’d start BDR up top in the first game, him or Mavididi.
-
Get this clown out of our club. I can’t believe the shambles that is our return to the premier league, my expectations were low and we’ve still managed to come in massively below that. Cooper must be absolutely fuming, wouldn’t blame him for walking away. This season is going to be absolutely awful, don’t think I can bring myself to watch the opening hammering by Spurs despite paying Sky for the privilege. Would be the third game in over 10 years I’ve missed watching at least some of live, where any opportunity has existed for me to watch. Those two were during my wedding ceremony and on my honeymoon 😂

Wait until you see the contract we have to offer Jordan Ayew to get him to come here
-
Has he signed for Roma yet?
-
Can we pay him partly in Baklava?
-
Should have gone for a 0-10 away win at Southampton

Wasn’t someone claiming to have a mate at the training ground saying Bergwijn had been seen there and had signed and everyone piled on saying they probably mistook him for Zaha? Maybe it was Bergwijn? (Maybe it was bullshit)

Can someone please close this thread and redirect people to the Ayew thread?

No worries, cheers for the response anyway
