  1. We've played nice stuff at times, midfield 3 look comfortable enough at this level. The back 4 is horrific, and we should be 4 down. Naive football really, I admire that we are sticking to our principles but other than our midfield 3, we are nowhere near their level
  2. Defensively horrific again, Hamza asleep, Vesty and Faes both don't take charge, Doyle not keeping up with his man.
  3. Horrific from Vesty...he's no where near premier league quality
  4. Strong front 4 for Chelsea but if we can get on the ball and bypass that into their midfield 2 and back 4, I fancy us to cause them issues. Think we lose 3-1 but hopeful we will give them a good game.
  5. No real complaints on that selection, I'd have liked Mads to play in goal, but Stol has done really well all competition. Good to see Wilf back in the starting 11.
  6. When everyone is fit, we have the best starting 11. Leeds, Southampton and maybe even Ipswich have better balanced squads than us, there's not much drop off between their starting 11s and subs benches.
  7. You actually get discounts from a tesco club card. Its more like a gym membership, but where you can only actually attend the gym if you pay extra on top of your membership.
  8. He doesn't have the effort levels required. I can see him being a squad player next year solely cause we cannot offload him, but he will never make it as a PL player.
  9. This is the key issue, I'd argue our main plan was to sell players, but when that doesn't happen, the lever should have been, we keep what we have and don't spend recklessly. Instead, we spent way over in 21/22 and will pay the price. Its pure negligence, ostrich style.
  10. From a purely business budgeting point of view, not having awareness of the levers you have to pull to comply with FFP and the impact of not being able to pull all/some of those levers is horrificly naive and pretty close to a dereliction of duty for those with key financial decision responsibilities. It wouldn't be accepted at my place of work, and the fact it seems to have been at a PL side (at the time) is abysmal.
  11. Yes, read that as right to left, so Ricky inverting from LB
  12. 6 wins and a draw, I think Leeds finish on 100
  13. Appreciate we may not have the spending room to buy him but was very impressed with Jacob Greaves yesterday. Wouldn't have a problem with a Justin-Vestegaard-Greaves-Ricardo back 4 next year
  14. No reason not to go strong for this: Hermansen Hamza Coady Vestegaard Doyle Winks Ndidi. KDH Fatawu. Akgun Vardy
  15. I think that's a fair concern, I also wonder if he's now realising what a basket case of a club he's come in to and whether it's not the right environment for a "project style" manager. Personally, I'm a fan. I don't think he gets enough credit for turning the squad atmosphere around from the shambles of last year. He's also developed plenty of substandard players into decent performers this year.
  16. Enzo is a young inexperienced manager who undoubtedly makes mistakes. He's also a disciple to his principles and has a squad that is nowhere near as good as people on here think, at playing that style. This is highlighted by the fact he's had to retrain Hamza as an inverted full back and we look so much better when Wilf Ndidi (who himself has been asked to play a role completely alien to him) is available. Now, that slavery to a system can be seen as a negative and this season, I think it is. However, that identity and his ability to coach it to a group of players who do not really suit it (Ricardo, Vestegaard, Mavididi, Fatawu and KDH aside), are also a huge sign that he's highly talented and could go on to big things in the game
  17. We need to be eyeing up 13 points from the next 5 games, Leeds and Ipswich have a difficult run and we could have a little gap following. Could really do with Watford and Sunderland getting new managers in
  18. Final international break before one last push. Guaranteed to at worst be level points top with a game in hand. We'd have absolutely taken this at the start of the season. Keep the Faith!!!
  19. Missed their penalty so can't comment (if someone has a pic of whether in box or not would be great). Seri sending off is clear, and it's an obvious bottle job from the ref. Standard is horrific in this division.
  20. That's not a bad result, Hull a decent side and think we just about shaded it. Seri sending off would have made it really interesting. Need to up our intensity though, not sure if just knackered and need the international break. Can't wait for Ricardo to replace Hamza and to have Wilf for a full 90
  21. Thought he was one of our better players today!
  22. Pretty even half, but we are our own worst enemy. So poor defensively throughout the entire team. Look dangerous when we go forward though. Faes having a mare, needs the hook for Coady ASAP.
  23. I bloody love Mads, what a keeper
  24. Huge result, guaranteed top 2 before last international break of the season. Regardless of the lead we did have, we'd have taken that at start of season
  25. Callum has been good, but I think JJ is far more suited to cope with Philogene-Bidace. Would like to see Conor thrown on to shield the back 4 if we are a goal up with 10 to go.
