  1. A real chance that after Norwich we only play 1 match where teams have anything to play for. Maybe Milwall and Plymouth.
  2. Nothing for us to really fear here. Leeds are a really good, dangerous side but we have to look to impose our game and quieten the crowd. I'd go same side as Boro apart from Vardy for Daka. Vards is on one of his runs of form and an experienced head will do us good
  3. Doing excellently at Bologna, but I still don't see at all where he fits in. Think he could play where Justin is in games we have 70% possession, but that's unlikely to happen next year.
  4. 3-2 win, best atmosphere of the season. Calling it now
  5. Haven't changed their model at all though, respect to then for that. Like we should have done, they'll look to be safe mid table and then push for Europe next year with a lighter schedule. One year in, one year out. It's what we should have done but instead we blew way too much trying to establish ourselves as European regulars without the groundwork being in place.
  6. I really like Whitakker but feel he's more of a good finisher than a one-on-one winger that Mavididi and Fatawu are. Maybe that means he's a useful different option, but I'd be looking to build on the style we already have. I've shouted it for months but Osame Sahraoui at Heerenveen is an incredible dribbler and would be super affordable
  7. I'm on the opinion that you couldn't get any worse, and the question should be, are the next lot good enough to at least start to sort out the absolute mess so much of our country is in.
  8. It's about backing them sensibly, and unfortunately Enzo will have to feel the effect of the overspend on Rodgers and relegation. However, from his interview with Percy, I feel he's far more interested in being backed on style and not having a side ripped apart once he's built it. Whilst our model has to rely on profit made on players, as long as he can re-invest in players that suit his style I think he will be content.
  9. Tactically he will have improved working under Motta, who's a brilliant coach. It might have just unlocked something in him that makes working under Enzo in the Prem more appealing. Im still of the opinion he's more of an up and down the wing LB, and it's just a role we don't have space for. Unlikely he moves on without us making a loss so best bet is he has another loan next year.
  10. Maresca, like Pearson and to a lesser extent even Puel, seems to be dragging the club forward, whereas I always felt Ranieri and Rodgers were more steering us in a direction with wind in our sails. He's an incredible coach, who is still learning his craft. The one advantage to keeping him long term is I feel he's purely motivated by philosophy and if we match his, he won't want to move unless he's guaranteed the same at a higher level.
  11. If financially we could make Gronbaek & Bernabe for KDH work, I'd be really tempted.
  12. Attention rightly on Conservative disaster, but the Lib Dems need drastic change. In my opinion there's a real chance for them to ignite some excitement with some ambitious policies but they don't have the leader or policies in place to take advantage of that. A 2010 Nick Clegg figure would have really made an impact. A younger, more vibrant leader advocating for PR, major tax reform and a move into the single market would have a chance of really appealing to those close to the centre on both sides who struggle to get excited about their natural party.
  13. McAteer & Daka for Praet and Vardy. We will need the additional energy in midfield. I bleated on about needing 3 wins, a draw and a loss from each set of 5 games a few weeks back. A draw will do, I back us to win every match at the moment though.
  14. Would you rather we took 20 shots from the halfway line? Does that qualify as a successful half for you?
  15. Saints with West Brom and Hull next, feel like they will get sussed out now they hit harder games. Bristol City last night being an example.
  16. Feel like we are really clicking at times now, first half yesterday a prime example. I'm also convinced that there are numerous players that don't quite fit the system, I know people are pointing at Burnley as reason why we need to change a little next year, and we will obviously have more defending to do, but I'm really confident with some good additions we can be comfortable next season (I do however, expect us to get the occasional hiding)
  17. Wout does some weird stuff doesn't he. One minute he's Beckenbauer, the next he's batternberg
  18. I don't quite think it's frustration in all honesty. Crowd has been decent for a midweek game when the opposition is doggo
  19. Praet has been really good, taken up really good wide spaces to create room for Ricardo and stop Fatawu being doubled up on. Best showing from him since the Cov cameo on opening day
  20. Dominance....we are just streets ahead of this level.
  21. Imagine bragging about only being able to convince half of the people who always vote for you, to still vote for you when put in front of them to do that exact job!
  22. Waiting for the email from Leuven.... In all seriousness, we could pick up Keita for £8m tops, and Sensi, O'Hare and Kamada on frees, giving us midfield options of: Winks Keita KDH Sensi O'Hare Kamada Alves Braybrooke (I'd like to see him out on loan next year)
  23. It's horrific that we have Mandela Keita in our "system" and do nothing about it.
  24. Has just signed for Inter Miami by looks of it, I imagine hugely for the Messi pull, but the €8m price would of been perfect for us. Back to the drawing board for a Winks backup
  25. Yeah surprised me too! I'm a huge fan of his compatriot at Stuttgart, Hiroki Ito who could play the Justin/Doyle role really well for us. Fede Redondo as a young DM is also one we should have an eye on. Argentina U23 midfielder who's contract runs out in December.
